Mentor- Memorable Moments

• I am so proud of my mentee! Our goal for the year was to help her get research experience, so we did some CV work, talked about what kind of experiences she would like to gain, how to look for jobs and how to interview. In the end she was offered a position with a high profile researcher and a research scholarship.

Onus is on you

• My mentee was not prepared and had no goals with respect to what she wanted to learn from this experience. I found the student very difficult to mentor!

• My mentee was receptive to new suggestions and ideas and was very proactive, which helped make mentoring easier.
