Using waste paper, we manufacture a broad range of variants according to individual specifications and requirements and offer you com-prehensive consulting. On request, we will support you with ser-vices going even beyond that. To be able to supply your company appropriately, we coordinate the production processes with you and always maintain sufficient material at our warehouses in line with the order.

Quality that sets new standards

The paper and board products we offer meet the highest quality standards and are manufactured in an environmentally sound manner. By means of combined heat and power, an in-house power station produces environmentally friendly energy to run our machines. Biogas generation in the anaerobic process water treatment system is one of many technical solutions we apply to increase our energy efficiency and minimise the use of fossil ener-gy sources. The growing demands of the market and customers are both an incentive and a challenge for us. To meet these demands successfully, we constantly further develop and optimise our pro-duction processes – as documented by certification of our excellent recycling company in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001.

Our family-run enterprise, encompassing an operational area of 350,000 square metres, has been based in Varel for over 75 years. With a production capacity of 850,000 tons of paper and board a year we number among the biggest production plants in Europe and are a reliable partner for the national and internatio-nal packaging industry.

Our approx. 500 employees are the mainstay of the company and ensure smooth procedures in all our operations through their competence, creativity and market know-how. They are suppor-ted by the both ecologically and economically efficient process technology used by the company for its sustainable production.

Our board qualities

Nearly 100 percent waste paper as raw material – that’s what we use to produce grey and brown board as well as laminated, pig-mented and white coated qualities. Innovative equipment techno-logy and the focus on optimal runnability and processing characte-ristics are the features that make our product range so special.

The JadeBoard product family always offers the right raw material for packaging in the food, hygiene and medical sector as well as for the consumer and industrial goods segment. Special solutions for industrial applications and for refrigerated and deep-frozen products as well as at the point of sale (POS) are no problem thanks to our broad product range.

JadeBoard – our high-quality basic board – is the basis for all our product groups and the heart of your packaging solution made of solid board. By means of inline lamination with different papers, such as those from in-house production, it is turned into JadeBoard Duo and individually refined according to the packaging require-ments.

JadeBoard Pro is the product group for board qualities that are white coated on one or both sides. Thanks to different raw ma-terial variants and coating methods, we are able to manufacture application-specific product classes from special yoghurt tray products all the way to high-quality folding boxboard.

By the way, we don’t use the word “Jade” – the name of the river that flows along our Varel plant – in our product designations for nothing. It is an expression of our environmental concept and ties to the region.

We ensure a constantly high level of paper quality through strict quality control that monitors the production process from the receipt of raw materials to the finished reel. We consistently implement the closed cycle concept on which recycling is based: with our environmentally friendly qualities of paper you as a customer, too, can operate sustainably.

Our paper qualities

Two state-of-the-art paper machines produce the heart of your packaging: fluting and liners for transport and sales packaging. These products are available in different weight classes and are part of our product lines JadeWelle, JadeLiner, JadeWhite and JadeKraft, depending on the paper quality.

Using a combination of paper qualities on a recycled basis and special qualities containing, in part, fresh fibres, we also develop product innovations with high technical degrees of freedom and additionally produce brown as well as white liners. In this way we provide you as a customer with a wide variety of options for packaging of all kinds.

What makes our paper products stand out? They feature high strength, outstanding runnability and printing properties and thus meet the highest demands on further processing. That not only increases productivity, but at the same time reduces material needs and thus may also lower your operating costs.
