Statement of Objective: How will essential learner outcomes for this particular lesson be stated and communicated to students? Must be concise and measureable.

Students will look at the themes of good and evil in everyone as well as the theme of racism in regards to The hypocrisy in Maycomb. Developmental Activities (Teacher-Directed): How will you structure and organize the lesson to ensure student mastery of essential learner outcomes? How will assessment of student progress be integrated into the instruction?

1. Declarative Knowedge: What are the general topics and specifics of the lesson? What are the essential facts, concepts, generalizations, principles, and connections that I wish to emphasize?

The Maycomb ladies hypocrisy regarding their missionary work and their feelings towards blacks. The teachers hypocrisy regarding Jewish persecution and the persecution of blacks.Atticuss continuing non-violence2. Procedural Knowledge: Logistically, how will the lesson be carried out? What skills, processes, competencies, and procedures do students need in order to master the material in the lesson? The lesson will be conducted with key selections from various chapters to be placed on the visualizer. The students need to master characterizing literary figures from textual evidence. 3. Guided Practice Activities: What will students do that will extend, refine, and reinforce the learning outcomes you have in place for them?

The instructor after placing selected passages on display will ask guiding questions in order to help studentsSee the themes of racial inequality as well as people having both good and evil in them. Independent Activities/Meaningful-Use Tasks: Students alone or in cooperative groups. How will students demonstrate self-regulated, critical, and creative thinking? How will they practice with or work toward desired outcomes? What will they do to move toward successful, long-term performance-based tasks?

Students will be assigned one scene into a small group. They should summarize the scene and show how characters have both good and bad in them and any inherent social injustice. Assessment Activities: Throughout the lesson (and beyond), how will I monitor student progress and determine student mastery of the material and achievement of desired learning outcomes?

The groups presentation will be the assessment for this to see if they understand the events that have occurred and the themes showcased by them.Closure Activity: Teacher guidedbrings a sense of completion to the days lesson. It may be an essential part of the assessment process, a stand-alone activity, a connection to the next days lesson, or simply a concluding wrap-up and review. What did we learn today?
