7 Conversationson Serious Topics
7 Conversations on Serious Topics is a documentary es-say based on conversations with 6 –14 year old children with exceptional experiences. Those are the kids gifted with exceptional talents or having gone through parents’ divorces, losses, illnesses, committed crimes, children from custody, raised in large families etc. In an empty room they are asked questions about different things from happiness to loneliness, fear of death, relationship with another person, from crime to punishment.
Open conversation is a first step, whether it be large or small, away from the world of loneliness, where not only children with a particular fate are imprisoned, but where every modern human being finds himself or herself. Thus independently of a topic of a certain conversation, the film will focus on loneliness, closeness, alienation, bond-ing and hope to survive. Although children will talk in the film, it is meant for adults. According to statistics, parents living in the West dedicate approximately 4 minutes a day for their children. We would like to ask the grown-ups for 70 minutes of their personal time to watch this film and hopefully to find revelations about themselves.

How We Playedthe Revolution
10
Documentary
How We Playedthe Revolution
in was the year 1984 when a group of architects decided to organize a one-night music band as a joke for a New Year’s party in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania. The joke proved to be so good that rumors about the new exciting rock band aNTiS spread by word of mouth and soon their intellec-tual clownery grew into what become known as the Rock Marches, which were massive events that drew thousands of people.
This is the story about those who fought for the independence of their country with a smile and songs despite the danger of the situation.

The film features a detective-style story about a macabre game where death can turn into a prize and living means losing. a cynical game involving the death of emergency room patients thought up by a doctor in the emergency room becomes a test of his morals.
The film should provoke a question regarding the choices one makes in critical situations where it’s almost impossible to determine criteria for morality. a game involving death becomes real in a country faced with a clash of times and re-gimes. This film aims to show that the real apoc-alypse in a modern world that possesses an apocalyptic mindset is really happening inside people.

Documentary
Luckus
Rebellious Lithuanian photographer Vitas Luck-us, a legend of the bohemian generation of 1960s Soviet Lithuania, passed away tragically in 1987. But the life of this talented artist still in-spires and invites one to question why we fear those who are really free. The film looks for an-swers in various places, as the witnesses of this story are scattered around world.
He was an artist who dictated trends, and his name was shrouded in myth. His splendid and extravagant home used to be the most vibrant center for the cultural bohemians at that time, hosting famous artists from the whole of the So-viet Union, however he was a banned artist. He and his works didn’t find a place in the Soviet system and did not fit in the officially established territory of what was deemed “beautiful”.

Field of Magic
20
Documentary
Field of Magic
The Field of Magic – that is how the dump people call the
Kariotiškės dump, placed 40 km away from Vilnius, Lithu-
ania. Dump people work here (sort garbage and sell it to
procurers), build houses, interact with friends, cook, cel-
ebrate, grieve and have fun. Theirs is a special unknown
subculture like a small nation with their own traditions,
customs, way of life and philosophy.
The story starts on March 15, 2008, when the old dump-
ing ground is closed. Waste is no longer brought in here,
and no one is allowed to enter the new dumping ground,
built to meet the eU standards. The struggle for survival
begins. People are gradually leaving the dump. The movie
focuses upon destinies of eight of the dump people - Foxy
and Kristina, Richka and Teresė, ivanushka and Nina,
one-eyed Cyclops and a few others. The documentary
shows their life throughout one year and captures their
daily routines, personal life events, tries to reveal their re-
lationships and celebrations of the major holidays.
The Field of Magic is a docu-poem, capturing a unique
vanishing community of “unidentified” people, speaking
of humanity, human dignity, care for each other and other
values that are so rapidly dying in the modern society.

Poetical documentary
Monologues ofthe Heart
it is a poetical documentary about the human philosophy and issues of human organ trans-plantation that is revealed with the help of re-constructive, experimental and feature film tech-niques. after a person dies suddenly his heart, which can be kept alive for a short period of time by doctors, begins its journey to another person, who is terminally ill and could be saved by a transplantation, whereby the heart would also continue to live. Those few critical hours of a heart’s life connect the most different of peo-ple: relatives of the diseased, medical staff, po-lice officers and a, air force pilot, who pass the heart on from one another like a priceless baton of generosity and self-sacrifice in order to save the life of another human being.

AnimaDoc
The Bug Trainer
The Bug Trainer is an international co-production documen-
tary film about Ladislas Starewitch (1882 - 1965), a pioneer
of puppet animation and a contemporary of cinematogra-
phy, one of the most mystical and controversial creators
of the 20th century. Born in Lithuanian at the beginning of
the 20th century, he was called a wizard and alchemist of
animation.. He became famous in Russia and flourished in
France. He never disclosed his unique methods of anima-
tion to anyone, which leads one to wonder – who was he?
Lithuania, Poland, Russia, and France all claim him as their
own. He was a cosmopolitan figure, whose creative works
surpass geographical boarders and were ahead of their
time.
This film is an effort to “decode” Starewitch by using the
means of his own artistic thinking, utilizing all contempo-
rary means of film expression and tying together biographi-
cal facts, archival information and factual information as
told by experts, including film historians, critics, and ani-
mators, which are then used to create a film depicting a
love story of puppets.

Having started as a film forum for Nordic countries in 2003, Scanorama soon became one and the largest film forums for Nordic countries in the Baltic region, linked directly by cooperation and friendship with the main festivals of northern countries cinemas throughout europe (such as Rouane (France), Lübeck (Germany), and Gothenburg, (Sweden)).
in 2006 the european Film Forum Scanorama became a member of the Alliance of Central and East European Film international festivals network. it also organizes a special program called Crossing Europe in cooperation with the international film festival Crossing Europe that takes place in Linz, austria. in 2009 when Vilnius bore the title of the european Capital of Culture, Scanorama blossomed into a forum of film from all over europe, with a program that is directed at a broad audience of various social backgrounds and ages.
Scanorama does not only have a film program, but it also features master classes called Go Young Generation and competition program called Guest Voice, during which special guests of the festival and competent film experts select the best and the most interesting short feature film from the New Baltic Cinema program.

The work of EUROPA CINEMAS is financed in part from funding from the EU program MEDIA 2007. This network adds considerably to the distribution of European film, as their main reper-toire must contain European films. Cinema Center Garsas joined the European cinema network EUROPA CINEMAS in 2009, with Pasaka joining the network at the beginning of 2011. The Skalvija Cinema Center has been a member of this network since 1992.

Onlinefilm.org is a website aimed at the international distribution and sales of films. It features a large collection of films from various European countries that include various genres and aesthetics, which can be downloaded to PC legally via the internet for a certain fee.
The main advantage of Onlinefilm.org is that any filmmaker can upload his or her film to the Onlinefilm.org server, supply the required information about the film and who had made it and establish a price for selling the film, which is usually 2 to 6 EUR.
Films in the Onlinefilm.org website have subtitles in English and other languages. Extracts from the films can be viewed for free,
and links to the films can be sent to friends and other interested parties. The download is simple and fast via the popular Torrent software.
Through cooperation with European partners, there have been personalized and specialized websites created for separate regions, which differ in their individual character and target audience.
Partners were found with ZELIG Gen. GmbH in Italy, the Association of Slovenian Film-makers in Slovenia, EHO-FILMA in Latvia, ANEMON PROD in Greece, DOKUZONE in Austria, and SOILSIU in Ireland and TREMO-RA in Lithuania.
