James Bay: Sakami & Opinaca Gold West

10

Page 11: Matamec Gold & Energy Presentation - Feb 2017

The property’s mineralization style and tectonic setting

share strong similarities with Goldcorp’s Eleonore

mine and the Cheechoo showing held by Sirios

Resources

The property covers a major tectonic contact between

two sub-provinces that is very favorable for hosting

gold deposits

Its geological setting comprises the Opinaca

sediments, the La Grande mafic volcanics, and iron

formations in association with a strong deformation

zone, notably near the tectonic contact of the La

Grande-Opinaca sub-provinces.

Mineralized horizons are sub-parallel to

the major tectonic contact, which spans

more than 20 km on the Sakami

property

Four areas explored since 2000:

Ile – JR – Peninsule – La Pointe

La Pointe zone is located in the southern

part of the property

Last exploration program: Summer 2016

13

To date, the following characteristics

have been observed:

the zone is continuous along a

lateral distance of at least 250 m;

the zone extends beyond 500 m

depth down the dip of the

structures;

the mineralization remains open to

the northwest, as well as at depth,

with the best intersects along the

northern edge.

Sakami: RESULTS OF THE SUMMER 2016 EXPLORATION CAMPAIGN

16

The 2016 Summer Program covered 4 areas of the property, and included a drilling campaign of 9 holes totaling 2,058 m

on the La Pointe sector (PT-16-91 to PT-16-99). It also comprised a total of 210 km of geophysical survey lines in the La

Pointe, Île and JR West sectors, and a mapping and prospecting campaign in the Péninsule, Île and JR West sectors.

The results from PT-16-93 together with PT-16-91 and PT-16-92 confirm that Zone 25 increases in thickness and

grade to the northwest. This lens remains wide open in this direction and we are very keen to test the continuity of this thick

zone of gold mineralization in the next drill campaign. Note that the grade of the intervals are relatively consistent; there are

no extreme grade assays that carry very low grade intervals. The very thick intervals and their relative position suggest a

possible merging of Zone 22 and 25 in this direction.

The drilling of PT-16-96 and 97 confirms the mineralization trend to the extreme south east, and the lack of significant

assay results in the remaining drill holes testifies to the complex geology occurring at this apparent fold nose on the La Pointe

Peninsula.

The results for the Simon showing supports the presence of high-grade gold values, with channel sampling results

of up to 20.8 g/t Au over 1 metre and 17.45 g/t Au over 1 metre. It should be recalled that the Simon showing was

discovered as a result of work carried out in the summer of 2015 on the Peninsula sector, which returned 45.9 g/t Au in a chip

sample. This new gold showing is located on a geophysical anomaly where a strong magnetic low is observed, as well the

junction of multiple faults. It is also located on the contact between the LaGuiche sediments (Opinaca) and La Grande belt

volcanic and appears encased, like the Zone 25 gold zone in the La Point sector.

Sakami: MATAMEC (50%) – CSM (50%): OPTION AGREEMENT

17

On August 18, 2016, Matamec announced that Canada Strategic Metals (CSM) has acquired

its 50% undivided interest in the Sakami property, after having issued 2,000,000 shares to the

Company and having spent $2,250,000 in exploration work over the past 3 years.

Within 180 days of acquiring its 50 % interest in the property (period ends February 11,

2017), CSM will have an option to acquire an additional 20 % property interest by issuing 1

million shares to Matamec and completing an independent bankable feasibility study within

five years of the date of the share issuance. During the period that the additional option is

valid, the Company must spend a minimum of $ 2,000,000 on exploration by the end of each

year until the feasibility study is completed.

Tansim Mineralizations:

1) Lithium; 2) Lithium-Tantalum-Niobium; 3) Beryllium-Lithium-Tantalum

25

The table shows mineralized pegmatite occurrences found on the property since the discovery on the Dallaire showing in 1957

A broad, regional zonation is reported as follows:

(1) To the East, pegmatites are mineralized in Be, Li and Ta.

(2) To the Center, pegmatites are mineralized in Li, Ta and Nb

(3) to the West, only Li mineralization is observed

From east to west, complex and zoned granitic pegmatites show:

values up to 0.5% Be,

values up to 5.8% Ta2O5 (boulder)

values up to 0.028% Nb2O5

and values up to 4.65% Li2O (grab sample)

Page 26: Matamec Gold & Energy Presentation - Feb 2017

Tansim: Main Advantages

26

Since the discovery in 1957 of large crystals of spodumene and beryl on the Dallaire showing, only 11 short DDH have

been reported on Viau-Dallaire (1961-(4)-121.6m), Viau (1974-(4)-248m) and Île du Refuge (1978-(3)-70m) showings

Since the rock exposure is less than 10%, with most areas residing on the north shores of Lake Simard being covered by

glacial drift, several portions of the EW-oriented magnetic band remain largely uninvestigated

Geologists estimate that if all of high magnetic terrane corresponds in part with mineralized granitic pegmatites, then nearly

40% remains unexplored

Based on the large extent of the surface area of mineralized pegmatites occurrences, the zonation of mineralogical facies

and the complexity of the mineralogical phases, geologists have concluded that this region might be qualified as a

fertile pegmatitic field

There are sufficient hints from the Ta geochemical assays coming from Tansim granitic pegmatites that may lead to the

discovery of Ta-rich horizons

Next exploration program will carry out a detailed drilling campaign on the principal showings to unearth new zones of

pegmatites dykes and ultimely define mineral resources

The Fabre Battery Mineral

Resources/Tres-Or Resources Ltd

Property has historical showings and

drill intersections, including a 1995

drill hole reported in report GM 53625

filed with the Quebec government of

714.2 g/t Ag, 2.7% cobalt (Co), 1.1%

bismuth (Bi) and 1.05 g/t Au.

The Keeley-Frontier Mine (1921-

1965) was located 8km west of Fabre

in the same structure and produced

19.2Moz Ag & 3.3Mlbs Co.

Fabre Property: Cobalt-Silver

28

Page 29: Matamec Gold & Energy Presentation - Feb 2017

The Fabre property is located in the Lake Temiscamingue region about 10 km from the Cobalt historical

mining camp, which has produced about 20,450(1) tonnes of cobalt at different periods during the 20th

century. The property is in a lithological and structural setting that is key to the discovery of cobalt-enriched

mineralization ((1) Petruk W., Jambor J., Boyle R.W., 1971).

The 2,930 ha property’s geology includes sheared mafic volcanics overlaid by sediments of the Gowganda

Formation and cross-cut by gabbroic intrusions. At the regional scale, the Fabre area corresponds to the

southern extension of north to north-west faults passing through the Cobalt Mining Camp on the Ontario side.

Historically, copper and gold occurrences have been discovered inside the property area. Sulphide

mineralizations are associated with quartz veins hosted by chloritic shear zones exposed at surface.

Historical records show enrichment in the following elements: Cu-Zn-Ag-Au. The historic exploration data

does not enable the tracing of the extension or the geometry of the mineralized system, nor does it indicate if

other elements like cobalt are present.

The company plans to validate this historical information by resampling and assaying for other critical

elements. In addition, the upgrading of the geophysical coverage should allow for the interpretation of the

structural pattern controlling metal distribution in this sector.
