Today we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. We recog-nize that Jesus is the Eucharist we receive every time we are in communion with Him. In the Gospels, Jesus himself mentioned that he is the bread of life, the living bread that came down from heaven. That whoev-er eats this bread will live forever. He is the true vine. He has told has that whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood remains in Him and Him in us. Transubstantiation is the moment the priest says these words, “This is my body,... This is my blood”, the bread and wine actually becomes the real body and blood of Christ while retaining the appearance of bread and wine. There-fore Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist. Happy Feast Day.
