MARCH 4: LENT III Jesus is on His way to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover. He quickly

responds to the appalling acts taking place in the temple with holy

audacity, righteous anger, and consuming zeal. Just as Jesus clears the

temple, if we are living temples of the Holy Spirit, we can also ask

what abominations are taking place in us. Action: Pray to the Holy

Spirit to identify what needs to change in your life. Dare to ask God

for help and mercy.

LENTEN REFLECTION – REDUCE FOOD WASTE

Laudato Si’ is a call to conversion and action, an invitation to change direction by taking on the task of caring for our common

home. Did you know that most households throw away 50% of the food that is purchased? This week as a Lenten "Fast for

Creation" commitment, make a list before you go shopping, look in your fridge and cupboards, and make a list of only those

items you need. Not only will you save money on your grocery bill, but you will also reduce the amount of food that you throw

out that ends up at the landfill.

Do you have a calling to the Permanent Diaconate? The Calgary Diocese is looking for men of prayer and charity who are prepared to enter formation to serve the Church in ordained

ministry as permanent deacons.Men must be Roman Catholic, married or single, at least 35 years of age, have a minimum

Grade 12 education, and be of sound moral character and mature faith.During four years of Human, Spiritual, Theological, and

Pastoral formation, the aspirant will prepare for the threefold ministries of Charity, Word, and Sacrament that are the call of the
