I finished my honours degree in Translation and Professional Writing at the

University of Pretoria in 2016. My subject field includes editing in Afrikaans and

English, subtitling, and translating between Afrikaans and English. I finished

my degree in BA Languages in 2015, where my majoring languages included

Afrikaans, German and English. Some of my other subjects included Afrikaans

editing and a computer literacy module.

Since 2014 I have done constant freelance editing and translation work for

students and private persons. I am also the co-owner and editor of a small

business that writes ATKV and other speeches for school pupils. I also work as

a freelance copywriter that writes website content for a business that develops

websites for various companies and businesses. Since 2014 I was employed

each November and December as an examination assistant for SACAI. This

work involved checking for marking errors and data capturing. My skills include

editing in Afrikaans and English, translating, subtitling and copywriting. I am

also literate in using computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,

and software for subtitling, translation and editing. Languages are my strong

suit, but I can do physical work just as well.

I am hard working, reliable, and devoted to the work I take on. I work well

under pressure and enjoy taking on challenges. As a freelance editor,

copywriter and translator, I constantly broaden my knowledge and learn new

words, concepts and ideas. Being computer literate, I enjoy working with

various software and constantly learn about new technology. I am a person

that is flexible in the workplace and can commit to do any type of work that is

required of me.
