ABOUT BOB

With roles spanning from Accountant to Senior Manager with ten years of experience at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, I served as financial manager and trusted, strategic consultant to large and small businesses.

Following this, I launched my career in the private sector at adidas Group as Vice President of Finance and advanced into roles as Chief Operating Officer, and finally, Chief Financial Officer. I also stepped into the role of Interim President on several occasions to maintain strong business continuity in times of transition.

I played a key role in a business that started with low sales and large losses, into a multi division highly profitable conglomerate with a sales in the hundreds of millions, and one of the largest successful Canadian companies in the industry. I successfully managed high multi-million dollar budgets, overseeing over 1,000 staff, and over 1 million square feet of real estate infrastructure in dozens of facilities across Canada

Today, I am focused on supporting people and helping them to succeed personally and in their businesses by expanding their financial knowledge, ensuring they make informed decisions, and acting as their advocate in achieving success in these decisions.

My Promise:

1. I will dedicate 15% of my professional time to low income/ low net worth individuals (seniors, single mothers, students, unemployed, social assistance, disabled), at no charge.

2. I will provide reasonable discounts for any individuals who require such a discount based on their ability to pay.

3. I provide a full satisfaction guarantee. Acting reasonably, if you are not pleased with my services, please inform me, and I will reduce my fees for any portion (or all) that you are dissatisfied with.

4. My professional fees will be always be based on actual time spent providing my services at reasonable market rates.

5. I will only charge for reasonable travel time, normally only anything in excess of 30 minutes, and will utilize any travel time charged as productively as possible for my clients.

6. I will charge direct out of pocket expenses only for reasonable requirements, approved by my client, using the actual costs incurred directly attributable to that client (examples are postage, courier, telephone, mileage, and business meals)

7. I am a small business and to cover simple overheads of my practice, I will charge each client a small administration amount, representing the proportionate amount of any of my indirect costs (tax and accounting software, office, communication, licenses). For 2016 this will be at the rate of 10% of professional fees.

8. HST will be applicable on all of the above costs as required by law.

I have a genuine, deep-rooted passion for helping people. It started early in life, as I even volunteered with my Dad at the age of 8 to help him coach high school football.

This passion for helping has extended through my life through sports coaching, support of charities, mentoring people, and well into my professional career in my Chartered Professional Accountancy Practice, actively advocating for my clients to achieve fair and beneficial treatment from Canada Revenue Agency, WSIB, other government authorities, as well as from suppliers, employees, employers, and competitors.
