LUKE 9:23THEN HE SAID TO THEM ALL: “IF ANYONE WOULD COME AFTER ME, HE MUST DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS DAILY AND FOLLOW ME.

WHAT IT REALLY MEANS TO CARRY OUR CROSS DAILY ?

1.) CARRYING YOUR CROSS DAILY MEANS DYING  TO YOURSELF OF LIVING IN THE FLESH INCLUDING SACRIFICING PRECIOUS THINGS IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH GOD’S WILL.

Luke 22:4242 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

Philippians 2:88 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

1 Peter 2:2424 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Galatians 5:2424 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

2.) CARRYING YOUR CROSS DAILY MEANS INVOKING THE POWER OF THE CROSS DAILY IN YOUR LIFE TRIUMPHING ALL THE WORKS OF THE ENEMY

1Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Ephesians 6:1212 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

1 Peter 5:8-98 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

NOTE: CARRYING OUR CROSS IS NOT FOOLISHNESS AND SOMETHING THAT IS AVOIDED. CARRYING OUR CROSS IS POWERFUL !. POWERFUL IN OVERCOMING ALL SATANIC ATTACKS AND HARMS.

3.) CARRYING YOUR CROSS DAILY MEANS PREACHING THE MESSAGES OF THE CROSS ESPECIALLYSALVATION AND FORGIVENESS OF SINS TO ALL THE LOST.

Acts 4:1212 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

1 Corinthians 1:2323 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

Acts 13:4747 For this is what the Lord has commanded us:“‘I have made you[a] a light for the Gentiles, that you[b] may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’[c]”

4.) CARRYING YOUR CROSS DAILY MEANS ENDURING DIFFICULT TRIALS LIKE PERSECUTIONS,INSULTS. OSTRACISMS, AND INJUSTICES TO FIRMLY STAND ON YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST AS MOST BELOVED SAVIOR AND LORD

GALATIANS 6:12Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.

HEBREWS 11:35-3735 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[a]they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
