2. Operation environment


Operation environment ：

Operation system : Windows 2000/XP/Vista

Application : Microsoft Excel 2000 or later

Others : MS-Internet Explorer 6.0 or later

3-1 Download “JAMP MSDSplus Input Supporting Tool” (English and Chinese versions are available) from JAMP website (see the Ref. 4);

3. [Step 1] Start JAMP MSDSplus Tool


3-2 Start (open) the tool.

3-3 When you see a dialog concerning the security, click the [Enable macros] button.

[Note] Be sure to enable macros since macros are embedded to this tool. In the case of Excel 2002 or 2003 (1) In the Excel menu, choose “Tools (T)” -> “Macros (M)” -> “Security (S)…” -> “Security Level” page, where the “Level” is to be set to “Medium.” (2) Start up this Tool, which is an Excel file. (3) In the screen that first appears in Excel, click on “Enable macros (E).”

In the case of Excel 2007 (1) After starting the Tool, a security warning appears below the Excel menu (the toolbar on the upper part of the screen). Click on “Options …” (2) The Security Option screen appears. Choose “Enable this content.”

[Note] Before start to make an MSDSplus, please prepare for MSDS.

① Select your language from: Japanese English Chinese ② Click the [OK] button.

You can use English, Chinese, and Japanese tools, But please make sure to type all information in English or Japanese.

3-5 After selecting a language, [Explanation] sheet appears.

① Click [Export XML] button (displayed on the top of the [Input_sheet] sheet).

② Specify a folder to save the file.

③ Enter a file name. *Do not change the part of the file name “MSDSp" to something else.

④ Click the [Save] button.

⑤ XML file will be created. A file name automatically assigned.

* The file name will be set by the following rules;

File name: MSDSp_YearMonthDate_Product Name.xml

e.g. MSDSp_20110101_Wire Solder.xml
