Process Of Creating my Production

Inspiration• Having a basic idea of what I wanted my production

company to be like it was extremely easy to create my production company.

• My main ideas were based around two words ‘simple’ and ‘ghosts’ therefore when thinking deeper into these words the name was pretty easy to create as I just used my initials, with the word ghosts I automatically linked flying smoke with it.

• Therefore knowing what I wanted my production company to look like finding out a design on youtube was pretty easy as well. This is because I had a guide of how to use After Effects in order to create my desired smoke.

1st Stage • Firstly I had to

choose my text font, being exposed to a lot of font designs it was quite hard to pick one, however in the end I picked a simple crisp one called ‘Din Condensed’ however being too close to each other I increased the space between the letters. As well as that I also went ahead and decrease the height of the letter.

2nd Stage• Within a different

youtube video, the owner had a smoke animation created already which was also copy right so I decided to use it. However the smoke created by that individual was not reaching my standards therefore I had to adjust the smoke to become slightly larger and flow slower than originally.

3rd Stage• Last stage was about

adjusting my product. This meant having to ‘Feather’ my text so that it looks as if its coming out of the text. To make it better I also used a tool called ‘linear wipe’ which helped me make my text appear with the smoke. Some of my last adjustments was to change the colour of my smoke, I wanted it to be a fire red so that it links with my film trailer (the devil) therefore using a theme already included within AE called ‘Colorize’ and the colour ‘Sky Orange’ all I had to do is adjust the shades from light orange to a dark red and the dark orange to a light red.

Final

• The making of my Production Company was quite easy it did require a lot of time and effort however seeing my final outcome I am extremely please with it. Not being a fan of Adobe products as they are quite hard to manage I really enjoyed using After Effects!
