34-13 Reports and Recognition of Visitors

1. Superintendent’s Report – Mr. Robert Ralstin a. SLO Presentation – Mrs. Susie McFarland and Ms. Ann Marie Poole

g. FFA petting zoo – February 22nd. 4. MHS Principal’s Report – Mr. Jamie Wilkins

a. Interim reports were sent home with students last Friday. b. Grade cards for the second nine weeks grading period will go home

with students on Friday March 22nd. c. Junior High students participated in the Adams County Science Fair in

January. Mr. Michael and the students did a good job. Brooke Trumbo earned a superior rating and she will attend the district science fair on March 23rd.

d. Homecoming activities were entertaining and successful. The dance also went well.

e. Junior High teachers are going over pretest data in their core areas and formulating post-tests for the third nine weeks grading period. Post tests will be given beginning at the end of the quarter to access student progress, and teachers will adjust instruction accordingly.

f. Prom tickets will be on sale for $50 each. Prom will be held on April 20th at Lundy’s in Maysville.

5. Director of Special Programs – Mr. Chris Young a. Senior recognition is scheduled on February 15th. b. Twenty-four After School students will be competing in the Ohio

Department of Natural Resources Archery competition in Columbus on March 1st.

6. Supervisor of Facilities and Transportation’s Report – Mr. Scott Kirk a. The SBHC punchlist is being finalized by BB&E Inc. b. Dr. Lesia Langston-McKenna has donated dental and x-ray equipment

for the school-based health center. c. Maintenance is working on dressing the baseball and softball fields,

and preparing the track for the spring season. 7. Recognition of Visitors – none

35-13 Old Business

Mr. Ralstin reports Barbara Mattie-Smith stated the reason the state funding for the Ohio Valley Joint Vocational School is missing on the Governor’s funding projections is because the JVSD does not have any current EMIS data.

36-13 Treasurer Recommendations 36A-13 Resolution to Approve January, 2013 Minutes

The Board hereby approves the regular board meeting minutes of January 9, 2013 and the special board meeting minutes of January 23, 2013.

36B-13 Resolution to Accept January, 2013 Financial Reports

The Board hereby accepts the January, 2013 financial cash, investment, cash flow, receipts, expenditures and appropriation reports.

The Board hereby approves the administrative staff to apply for any eligible federal, state and local grants for the 2013-14 school year.

36E-13 Resolution to Approve Payment of Invoice – Clark Power Services

The Board hereby approves the payment of an invoice from Clark Power Service, Inc. in the amount of $12,766.75 for work not covered by warranty.
