Office Closing The Cooperative Office will be closed on Monday,
September 1st, in honor of Labor Day. In the event of an
emergency, you may contact Emergency Services at 708
-754-2003. Our Office will resume normal business hours on Tues-
day, September 2nd. Thank you!
Budget Meeting
The Board of Directors has scheduled the first reading of
the 2015 Budget for Tuesday, September 9th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Coop-
erative Office. All Members are welcome to attend and give insight and
opinions into next year’s budget!
NOISE: Because of the nature of Cooperative life, please be cognizant
of your neighbors with regard to noise. Each Member is responsible for
the acts of himself/herself, family, guests, and pets. Violations of
Cooperative policies may result in fines. We appreciate your cooperation!
Don’t forget, ALL outdoor hoses must be disconnected by November 1st, 2014. If the hose
is connected, the Cooperative will disconnect the hose and a $5.00 fine will be assessed.
Furnace Filter and Clean and Check The Maintenance Department will begin conducting furnace clean and checks in mid-September.
During this process your furnace will be thoroughly cleaned and checked for any possible gas leaks. Your
furnace filter will be replaced when the clean and check is completed. You will receive a notice informing you
of when your furnace will be cleaned and checked. Approximately 8 - 10 units will be checked daily.
Theft The Cooperative has been informed that there has been theft of lawnmowers and other
yard items from the area. Please be sure to keep your items safe and, if you notice something suspicious,
call the Park Forest Police Department and file a report.

Beautification Awards
The Board of Directors would again like our Shareholders to be involved in the nominating
process for the annual Beautification Awards. Nomination forms are available in the
Management Office. Please take time to walk through our lovely property and nominate yards you believe de-
serve to win an award. There can be 60 winners! Pictures will be taken of the nominated yards as the nomi-
nations are received in the Office, and the addresses with the most nominations will determine the winners.
Please submit your nominations to the Management Office no later than Monday, September 1st, 2014.
GUIDELINES: Nominations will include the front, rear, and sides of all units, judging only what can be seen
from the sidewalk, public street, common areas, or parking lots. We will be looking for overall neatness show-
ing that time, care, and effort, but not necessarily money, have been spent. All winners must be in good
standing as a Shareholder of the Cooperative.

Document Destruction
Will County and the Village of Park Forest are hosting a 2014 Document Destruction
Event. It will be held at the Village of Park Forest on Saturday, September 13th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Residents of Park Forest are able to bring a maximum of two file boxes of personal documents for destruc-
tion. You may not bring newspaper, school assignments, metal items, corrosives, hazardous waste, food
waste, or wet documents. Documents will be shredded on site by Shark Shredding, Inc. Take advantage of
this opportunity to safely destroy personal documents and avoid them landing into the wrong hands!
Park Forest Art Fair The 59th Annual Park Forest Art Fair will be held on Saturday, September 20th, and Sunday,
September 21st, in DownTown Park Forest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Village of Park Forest will host a mu-
sic fest all day Saturday during the Art Fair. The musical groups will perform in a variety of styles. On
Sunday, the folk music duo known as Patchouli will perform all day. Both the music fest and Art Fair are open
to the public, free of charge. The fair will also feature many activities for children ranging from the traditional
art contest to tie dying, face painting, story times, and art projects hosted by the Park Forest Library. Tall
Grass Gallery will also be open all day free of charge. Several food vendors will be present.

made not to have an October Board
Meeting. The Cooperative Beautifica-
tion Commission Yard Beautification

Ken Price, Planning Commission Co-
Chair, reported on the Questionnaire
with more discussion to take place on
lighting. Tree trimming and window
well cover cost-share options were dis-
cussed. Doyle Sims, Member Satis-
faction Commission Chair, reported the
picnic was a success with 94 people in
attendance and many positive com-
ments. Sharon Walker, Green Com-
mission Chair, stated her concern for
continued problems with lamps in clos-
ets and will bring an affordable lighting
option to the next Board Meeting. A
Board Property Walk will take place on
Monday, September 29th, 2014. The
Board Meeting adjourned at 9:07 p.m.
The August meeting of the Board of
Directors was held on Wednesday,
August 27th, 2014. All Board Mem-
bers were in attendance with the ex-
ception of Joel Ramirez. There were
two Shareholders in attendance. The
Executive Session and General Ses-
sion Minutes from the July 23rd,
2014, Board Meeting were approved
with an amendment. Shareholder
comments included thanking the
Maintenance Department for the
storm clean-up and the Court E-9
parking lot renovation looking good.
One new Shareholder was approved
for Membership. Zach Henderson,
Maintenance Supervisor, reported
window well replacement was com-
pleted for the year with approximately
55 window wells replaced, B&F Foun-
dation Repair repaired wet base-
ments, roof and gutter replacement
was approximately half-way com-
pleted for the year, Court E-9 parking
lot should be completed this week,
weather permitting, over 30 skunks
have been trapped, the permit has
been received for asphalt patching
and sealcoating in Courts E-6 and E
-7, furnace clean and checks will be-
gin in mid-September and coincide
with furnace filter replacement, Chris’s
Tree Care is working on storm dam-
age, and the shutter project is com-
plete. Sandy Isaac, Property Man-
ager, reported there are 13 units on
the market with one contract, a thank
you card was received from a Share-
holder family, the Neighborhood
Meeting letter was received in error
and will be re-scheduled according to
Village Manager Tom Mick, the Coop-
erative is assisting the Village in ad-
vertising events, the Cooperative as-
sisted NICOR to read unit meters, the
milkweed is helping the monarch but-
terflies, the third application of fertil-
izer flyer will be distributed, and Doyle
Sims, President, renewed his CCD
Certificate. President Doyle Sims
thanked the staff for their continued
hard work, commended the look of
the planters and grounds, branding
the Cooperative with the website on

4th Annual Cooperative “Back to School” Picnic
The Cooperative picnic held on August 17th, 2014, was a great success! Almost 100 people attended this
year’s festivities. Members were welcomed to the picnic area by Board Members and staff. Everyone was
offered sandwiches, salads, chips, fruit, and cake to eat. Games such as badminton, bean bags, and rodeo
golf were played. The first 20 children that were previously registered received a bag with school supplies. If
you were not able to make it out this year, please keep your eyes and ears open about next year’s picnic
date. A special thank you to our host, Doyle Sims, President and Member Satisfaction Commission Chair,
and all the Members that came out and made the picnic such an enjoyable time!!

the actual Board meeting minutes which are approved by the Board of Directors. This section is to provide you with
open communication regarding discussions at the Board meeting for those of you who cannot attend. Approved Board
minutes are available for your review in the Cooperative office. Members can request a copy of the Board Meeting
Agenda beginning on Monday of the week of the Board Meeting
Grounds Warning Tickets Please remember, only one grounds warning ticket is issued to a unit in a calendar year. For example, if you
received a warning ticket in May for weeds and in August it is noted that your grass needs to be cut, no warn-
ing ticket will be issued. The grass will be cut and the appropriate fee will be assessed. Grass may not ex-
ceed 4 inches in length.
Board Property Walk The Board of Directors will be walking the entire property with the Property Manager and Maintenance Super-
visor on Monday, September 29th, 2014, weather permitting. During the walk the Board will be looking at the
property, the buildings, and possible future projects.
Damage to Property Please make sure that children and guests abide by all Cooperative rules. If Cooperative property is dam-
aged, ultimately all Cooperative Shareholders pay. Carrying charges may be affected to account for repairs
to the property. In order to help keep carrying charge increases to a minimum and keep Area E a beautiful
place to live, please make sure to abide by the rules. Thank you for your cooperation!
Siding If you notice that your siding looks dirty, please try hosing it off where you can reach. If you have hosed off
the siding you can reach and it is still extremely dirty, or if you notice other parts of the siding may need clean-
ing, please call in a work order for the Maintenance Department. The cleanliness of the buildings aides in the
overall beauty of Area E!!!
