The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.

The QSIR programme guides participants in the use of tried and tested improvement tools and approaches and the opportunity to use the tools and techniques to work on their own project, with experienced mentors available to guide and support.

Level 3 NVQ Business Administration and Management Apprenticeship
Equivalent to Passport to Manage competency Level 1+
This apprenticeship standard will enable the individual to develop a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. The modules undertaken will be adapted to meet the needs of the individual and the department in collaboration with the learner, manager and apprenticeship provider. This flexibility enables the learner to develop a wide range of skills that include strong communication (both written and verbal), management of priorities and own time, problem solving and decision making. The skills gained, on successful completion of this standard, enables the learner to progress towards management responsibilities. BSc and MSc Degree Apprenticeships are also available to Management and Leadership. For more information contact [email protected]
The apprenticeship programme is available for new and existing members of staff and is fully funded by the Apprenticeship Levy. The apprenticeship programme should be discussed at appraisal. Managers should then contact Lynn Hansell, Head of Business Management (Education) to discuss further.
This programme takes 18, months + 3 months for the End Point Assessment. Apprentices must be given 20% structured learning time in order to complete.

Contracts Training

Contracts Training compromises of two parts, Commissioner Contracts and Inter-provider (P2P) Contracts. You should leave this session knowing more about the contracts environment, more at ease about how they need to be managed, and knowing who to speak to if you think things are not going as expected.

In part 1, Commissioner Contracts, you will gain an understanding of; who our commissioners are, why we need a contract, how the NHS standard contract works, what the Aligned Incentives Contract is and what you need to know and do about contracts. In part 2, Inter-provider (P2P) Contracts, you will gain an understanding of; who we have P2P contracts with, why we need P2P contracts, how to manage P2P contracts and what happens when a contract is due to end.

Ethical Mentoring Programme

This programme is open to: an accredited internal NHS mentor and/or coach working through our network of Local Leadership Academy regional coaching/mentoring registers or directly within your own organisation. OR NHS staff who do not hold a formal mentoring/coaching qualification but have: a willingness toward mentoring colleagues, can demonstrate a clear understanding of coaching and mentoring and a clear commitment to attending all aspects of the programme and a motivation toward becoming an internal NHS mentor with our network of Leadership Academies.
