Why?

Around 2.37 lakh houseless families and 37.5 lakh families live in semi-pukka houses in MP.

With allotment of 70000 houses per annum under IAY, fulfilling unmet need will take decades.

To fulfill this urgent need, CM decided to launch a state sponsored bank linked scheme.

MPRRHA to be headed by an IAS officer

Beneficiary

Maximum annual income per family upto 1.25

lakhs/ 1 hectare land

Should own land or should be eligible for land

allotment.

Both APL and BPL families are eligible.

House and Land

Min 225 sqft built up area. Houses can be built individually or in clusters 9 designs and 81 sub designs of houses available for

beneficiary to choose. Provision of land allotment. Construction of houses by using latest environment

friendly low cost building technique. State wide on-site training of masons in these

technologies. Villagers to earn livelihood by production and sale of

local construction material.

Bank linkage to overcome paucity of funds with state government.

Banks to provide long term loans. Nominal EMI of Rs. 325 which can be earned

in 3 days of labour. To ensure repayment, beneficiaries to be

linked with income generating activities.

Implementation, Monitoring & Evaluation (MIS) All operations to be done using state of the art web

portal and GPS enabled PDA devices. Online registration of beneficiaries. Loan cases sent electronically to banks. Beneficiaries to be informed at each stage through SMS. Online release of loan installments in beneficiaries bank

account. Use of GPS based PDA device to capture geo-tagged

photographs of construction activity. All inspection reports will be available on Google earth.

Benefits Valuation. Stage clearance through GPS and IT based

devices Minimal Interaction of beneficiary and govt. officials. PULL and PUSH, SMS based system to inform

stakeholders. Online system ensures minimum time lag between

capture and usage of info. Minimal time consuming paper based work. Real time data transfer. Event and trigger system reduces administrative burden.

Lesser paper work reduces chances of errors and mistakes.

GPS system negates chances of faking photograph location.
