EGP Objective:

To contribute to the efforts of the Chinese Government and general public to improve environmental protection in China and promote local sustainable development for the benefit of the people through public participation and accountability in China.

EGP two Component approach: The EGP employs a two component approach.

Component 1, grant based support to local-level “Partnership Projects”, is managed directly by the EU Delegation in BeiJing

Component 2 provides capacity improving technical assistance inputs to Ministry of Environmental Protection environmental governance officials and professionals at the Central level .
