D IRECTOR MESSAGE

As the 2018 State Director for the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management (LASHRM) State Council, I would like to welcome you to our first newsletter. Last year, the LASHRM State Council participated in a Strategic Planning Session where it iden-tified and set three core goals. The goals concentrate in three areas the Council determined are critical to the success of our members, their local chapters, and the State. They focus on Serv-ing the Louisiana Human Resource Professionals, having LASHRM recognized throughout the State as The Voice of HR, and our commitment to strong Succession Planning from a diverse quali-fied pool of future Council volunteers. This newsletter is a direct result of our efforts targeted at these goals to ensure the LASHRM State Council is serving you, the members of our out-standing nine chapters in Louisiana.
