There will be NO after school clubs on the senior site next Wednesday (12th April) i.e. neither Gaelic nor homework club.We wish to draw your attention to a few changes to the after school clubs on the senior site which will be effective when we return after the Easter break:- Tuesday Eco Club – the Tuesday Eco club with Aude will be open to anyone from Yr.5/6/7 for the summer term.Thursday Running Club - due to low numbers the Thursday morning running club will not continue after the Easter break. Apologies for any disappointment this may cause!!!

Easter Draw Next Wednesday our Parents’ Committee will hold their Easter draws on both sites and there will be numerous Easter Eggs and prizes on offer for each class. The children are

asked to return any outstanding draw sheet/s and money to their class teacher by Monday morning, so that they will be included in the draws. A huge thank you to everyone for your support with the Easter draw and to our ‘eggcellent’

Parents’ Committee for their continued effort in securing much needed funds for all our pupils.

Accelerated Reader Prize-winnersCongratulations to Henry Symmington Yr.7S, our very first ‘Word Millionaire’ in our Accelerated Reader Programme. Henry received a special prize at assembly today. Congratulations also to all our prize-winners in each class in K.S.2. - Claire Lowe Yr.5D, Mary-Kate Montague Yr.5P, Clare Donnelly Y.6C, Eoin McCaffrey Yr.6K and Cara Coyle Yr.7Z.

Morning Arrangements for PupilsIn recent weeks we have noticed that there has been an increase in the number of parents/guardians calling to classrooms in the mornings and standing around on the corridors. In the interest of the health & safety of our pupils, we ask parents/guardians not to visit the classrooms and to please communicate any enquiries/information through the school office . With the exception of Reception

and Yr.1 pupils, all other pupils arriving on the junior site before class should be dropped off in the assembly hall, where they will be supervised by staff until they are taken to their classrooms at 9.00am. On the senior site pupils are dropped off at the front door and they make their way up to the assembly hall where they will be supervised by staff until class begins. Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter.

Christ the King Choir - CD LaunchChrist the King Youth Choir are launching their debut CD ‘Let it Shine’ this Sunday (9 th April) at 7.30pm in Christ the King Church. A number of past pupils of Loreto and St. Colmcille’s Primary Schools are members of the choir so we’ve no doubt it will be well worth a listen!!!

A Huge Thank You from Ms. McSorleyAs Ms. McSorley tries to adjust to life back in Holy Family and becomes acclimatised to our beautiful Irish weather, she would like to send a sincere thank you to everyone for their very kind wishes and generous contributions towards her recent trip to Cape Town. Ms. McSorley had the experience of a lifetime and she & her teammates finished in 6 th

place overall. It was a fantastic opportunity playing at this level and an honour to play against teams from Turkey, the USA, Great Britain and the overall winners, France!!! We have no doubt this is only the beginning of great things for Ms. McSorley and we hope she still remembers us all when hits the big time!!!!!!

Our Yr.4 children will be making their First Holy Communion at the 12.30pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Church on Sunday, 21st May. This is a lovely occasion for the children, their families and of course the school, and like any ‘big event’ it requires a lot of help and support to ensure everything runs smoothly!! To this end we are asking our current Yr.3 parents/guardians to assist our Parents’ Committee with the teas/refreshments in St. Joseph’s Hall immediately after the

ceremony. If you feel you could spare an hour or two on this day, please complete the reply slip below and return to your child’s class teacher next week. Many thanks in anticipation of your support in this matter.

Orders for Feis CDIf you wish to purchase a CD of the feis solo songs, then please complete the reply slip below and return to your child’s class teacher by next Wednesday (12 th

April). The CD costs £2.00 and contains all the songs from Reception – Yr.7. The CD will be sent home with children when we return to school after the Easter break.
