Golfcraft's 1960 Lloyd Mangrum Glasshaftwoods are «micro-balanced" with persimmonheads finished in a rich ebony. They have anatural face and red fibre keystone insert withcontrasting white stripe and double lock soleplates. The «torsion control" Glasshaft is saidto eliminate distortion and is available in variousflexibilities. Grips are of top grade black calf-skin leather with red and white stripes. 1960irons are scientifically designed with weightplacement to give more accurate trajectory.The sand-blasted face is to give greater biteor backspin. Seaver Tractor Proves Worthin Danbury Renovation

The Beaver, a riding tractor built and soldby Baird Machine Co., Stratford, Conn., is said

to have been a big help last year in the ex-tensive repairs made by the Danbury (Conn.)CC. It has a Cultmaster rear mounted attachmentthat is used for tilling and re-seeding and forrenovation of traps. The Beaver, says Supt. SamKraiger, also is handy for mowing, hauling andsnow removal. It is powered by a 7 hi> engineand gets correct speeds from a new 219 to 1ratio. Besides the Cultmaster there are a mowerbar, rotary mower and snowplow-grader avail-able wth the Beaver.

Says Golfers Should ProtectSelves Against Theft, Liability

Writing in the Long Island Press, JohnM. Brennan, the paper's golf writer, saidthat he had recently queried Timothy W.Foley, a golf insurance specialist, as toliability in the case of thefts of equip-ments and golf course accidents. It isFoley's opinion that neither the club northe pro can be held responsible whenclubs, bags, apparel, etc. are stolen froma club storage area. It is the responsibilityof the golfer to protect himself againstpilferage of this kind. Coverage of thistype often can be obtained through arider to a comprehensive dwelling policy.

Foley, Brennan says, feels that no play-er, whether on a public or private course,should venture to hit a golf ball withoutbeing covered by liability insurance. Pro-tection of this kind can be obtained for anominal premium through an insuranceagent or broker.
