  李錦記剛慶祝創業121周年,同時集團兩大業務亦打開新的一頁。醬料集團前任主席 李惠民先生掌管業務八年,為家族業務帶來多方面的突破。倡導垂直整合生產程式,奠定了李錦記品質監控零失誤的標準。此外,他大力拓展國內外市場,為家族業務的持續發展打穩根基,年初由李惠雄先生接任主席。而健康產品從三月開始以無限極重新命名,象徵著無限極品牌的國際化、進軍國際市場的嶄新里程。

  本人已屆八十高齡,喜見第四代皆能獨當一面,深感欣慰,唯望自己身體健康,能見證家族企業持續經營,早日完成集團兩大使命。

  我會重新戴上總總教練的帽子,坐在直升機上,以宏觀之視野,俯覽業務發展,力求讓團隊人盡其才,發揮所長。不過我也會在需要時跟管理層分享我的營商經驗,在策略上給予意見。

  汲取健康產品集團成功的經驗,醬料集團管理層已決定採用自動波領導模式,由選對人才,建立團隊精神開始,務求以高信氛圍的態度,高度授權員工辦事,以達事半功倍之效。只要大家緊記凡事以倒轉三角形的心態去做,以客為本,並經常換位思考,關注對方感受,萬事必可迎刃而解。

  我會全力支持醬料業務推行自動波管理模式,並會以身作則,實踐莊子「無用之用」的精神,使我們的團隊可盡量發揮其才能,為達到公司的共同目標而全力以赴。

  去年金融海嘯席捲全球,波及各行各業。現正爆發的流感疫症,可能會令世界經濟雪上加霜。不過我仍然充滿信心,只要李錦記保持一貫高品質產品,奉行以客為本之道,憑著其高效之團隊,本著穩中求變之心,集團的業務定會蒸蒸日上,而實現我們「成為中國民族企業的典範」的願望,也指日可待。

  最後,希望大家努力工作之餘,千萬勿忘三平衡之重要:需同時注重家庭生活及身體健康,才會活得爽,做得爽。

As Lee Kum Kee celebrates its 121st Anniversary, our two major businesses also begin a new chapter in their respective developments. Mr Eddy Lee, former Chairman of the Sauce Group, stepped down early this year after spending 8 years building a solid foundation for fur ther growth, and was succeeded by Mr David Lee. Eddy achieved many breakthroughs during his tenure, including pioneering the ver tical integration operational model, introducing the concept of zero tolerance in manufacturing, and expanding markets in China and overseas. Meanwhile, the Health Product arm was renamed Infinitus in March, symbolising the internationalisation of the Infinitus brand as we set a new milestone in our venture towards the global market.

At the age of 80, I am delighted to see all members of the 4th generation becoming leaders in their own right. I hope that I will be healthy enough to witness the sustained development of our family business and the fulfillment of the Group’s two core missions.

I will put on my cap as the master chief coach again, sitting in a helicopter to command a macro view of the Group’s business development, making sure that the skills and talents in our team are put to best use. However, as necessary, I will also share my experience with the management to advise on strategic issues.

Following the successful experience of the Health Products Group, the Sauce Group has decided to adopt the “autopilot” leadership model in the management of its business, starting from selecting the right people and team building to nurturing trust and empowering to enhance the effectiveness of the business operation. As long as we attune to the mindset of the “reversed triangle” to handle situations, adopt a customer-focused approach, and constantly put ourselves in other people’s shoes to care for other’s feelings, we would be able to resolve whatever problems that may arise.

I will render my full support to the Sauce Group in implementing the “autopilot” leadership model. Indeed, I will set an example by stepping behind the scene, in the spirit of Zhuang Tze’s teaching on “usefulness hides behind uselessness”. In this way, our team members can fully unleash their talents in pursuance of the Company’s common goals.

Last year, the financial tsunami swept the world with damaging effects across all trades and business. The current outbreak of flu pandemic may further dampen the world economy. However, I am still fully confident that if we maintain our supremacy in product quality, our customer-oriented policy, our highly effective professional team and our determination to make steady change, our business will continue to grow from strength to strength. Our vision of becoming “the role model for Chinese ethnic enterprises” can be realised before long.

Finally, I would like to remind everyone the importance of the “three balances” in life. As we work hard to achieve business goals, we must not overlook the importance of family life and our health and well being. Only then can we work with fun and live with fun.

  李錦記健康產品集團於今年首季揭開了品牌的新面

貌:南方李錦記有限公司正式更名為無限極(中國)有限公

司,並換上新的品牌形象。

  這次使命升級暨品牌國際化戰略的啟動,以使命升

級,新名稱、新定位和新形象,為公司提供了更大的發展

空間,也標誌著品牌邁向國際化的新里程,對於李錦記集

團來說可謂饒富意義。

  自1992年成立以來,無限極品牌獲中國500最具價

值品牌稱號,無限極(中國)獲「全國企業文化優秀獎」,

「2006年度中華慈善獎—最具愛心外資企業」獎,連續兩

屆美國著名人力顧問公司頒發的「亞洲最佳雇主」和「中

國最佳雇主」等驕人殊榮。

  今年3月無限極舉行了使命升級暨品牌國際化戰略宣

導大會。李錦記集團主席李文達先生、董事局成員李惠民

先生、李錦記健康產品集團主席兼行政總裁李惠森先生以

及無限極的領導層和高級業務夥伴們均出席見證了這個歷

史時刻。李文達先生在會上發表了題為「堅守使命永遠

創業」的寄語。

無限極在大會上宣佈了三項重要內容:

1、升級使命

  無限極(中國)作為一家有使命的企業,在堅守使

命的過程中,總是不斷地清晰並發展著使命。為了對

The “Internalisation of Infinitus” marks a new milestone of the Company through its rebranding with new name, new positioning and new logo. This is equally significant to the Lee Kum Kee Group.

Since its establishment in 1992, Infinitus has been repeatedly ranked No.1 for China 500 companies in Health Products Industry. It also won the “China Excellent Corporate Culture Award 2005”, “2006 China Charity Award - Most Caring Foreign-Invested Enterprise”, and received the dual honour of ‘Best Employer in China’ and ‘Best Employer in Asia’ presented by the Hewitt Associates in the United States.

In March, Infinitus held a conference for mission upgrading and brand internationalisation. Mr Lee Man Tat, Chairman of Lee Kum Kee Group, Mr Eddy Lee, Executive Director of Lee Kum Kee Co., Ltd, and Mr Sammy Lee, Chairman and Managing Director of Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group attended the event. Infinitus’ management members and its senior business partners were also present to witness the historic moment.

Three important announcements were made at the conference:

1. Mission upgrading

The mission of Infinitus is upgraded to promote traditional Chinese herbal health products, and to create a life of balance, affluence, harmony and health.

2、正式啟動品牌國際化戰略

  公司名稱、事業名稱及產品名稱統一為「無限

極」。公司名稱由「南方李錦記有限公司」更名為

「無限極(中國)有限公司」,更名後與李錦記健康產品

集團的隸屬關係不變。

無限極品牌定位於「激發內在的力量」,擁有五

大特質:誠信、溫暖、爽活、超越、樂觀。

無限極品牌新形象用「力量的源泉」、「中華的色

彩」和「快樂的夥伴」表現一種內在力量的激情釋放。

公司形象、服務中心、專賣店、產品包裝都將隨之

更新。

3、開拓國際市場

  更名後的無限極,其中國區將成為李錦記健康產

品集團全球市場的一個重要市場,並將於2010年正式

開拓國際市場業務,首批將開拓馬來西亞、台灣和

香港。

  在大會上,李錦記集團主席李文達先生表示:「不論

是外在環境的變化,還是公司內部的調整,李錦記家族

和集團對弘揚養生文化的使命和夢想不會改變;對無限

2. Brand internationalisation strategy

The company name, business name and product name are unified as “Infinitus”. “Nan Fang Lee Kum Kee Co., Ltd.” officially changes its name to “Infinitus (China) Company Ltd”. After renaming, its affiliation with Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group remains unchanged.

Infinitus’ brand is positioned as “Unleash the Inner Strengths”. Its five attributes are Integrity, Warmth, Vividness, Excellence, and Optimism. Infinitus’ brand image presents the passionate release of inner power and has three important elements: Origin of the Power, Chinese Colours and Joyful Partners. The company image, service centre, franchised stores and packaging of the products will be updated along the same line.

3. International market expansion

The establishment of Infinitus (China) signifies the importance of China as a region on Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group’s global map. In 2010, Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group will formally begin its business expansion overseas, firstly in Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

“No matter whether the external environment has changed or whether any internal adjustment of the company has taken place, the Lee Kum Kee Family and the Group would remain unchanged on its mission and its dream to promote Chinese herbal health products! Their concern and suppor t for the Infinitus business would stay! Their belief and recognition in the China market would stay!” Mr Lee Man Tat, the Group Chairman stated at the conference.

Mr Sammy Lee reiterated his dream that “Infinitus will create history! It will be the No.1 in China! It will be the No.1 in the world!” He stressed that it was not the dream of his own, but the dream, commitment and pursuit of everyone at Infinitus.

In 2009, Infinitus upgraded the mission, investing more than RMB 200 million to establish an outstanding business platform for consumers and business partners, including: more than RMB 10 million for Service Center and Franchised Stores upgrading in image and in functions, constructing the Infinitus Chinese Herbal Medicine Park. The park, designed in the shape of a map of China, has been planted with precious trees and medicinal materials from various regions. Together with the Experiencing Center, the Chinese Herbal Medicine Park shows the company’s resolution to promote Chinese herbal health products worldwide. In addition, Infinitus is investing RMB 50 million to construct the Conference Centre, of over 10,000 square metres. It will also invest RMB 130 million to construct Phase 2 of the manufacturing base in Xinhui. On its completion of the project in September 2009, the annual production value of the company will be over RMB 10 billion.

  李錦記健康產品集團主席兼行政總裁李惠森先生也

再次提到了他的夢想:無限極,創造歷史!無限極,中國

第一!無限極,世界第一!並表示這不僅僅是他個人的夢

想,也是全體無限極人的夢想、承諾與追求!

  2009年,無限極加大投入超過2億元人民幣,為消費

者和業務夥伴繼續締造卓越的事業平台。包括:投資逾千

萬強化無限極服務中心、專賣店的形象和體驗功能。建設

無限極中草藥園。該園以中國地圖為藍本,薈萃了各地

的名貴樹種和特色藥材。這將與無限極養生文化體驗中

心一起,生動體現弘揚中華優秀養生文化的實體。此外,

也投資5千多萬元建設面積達上萬平方米的會議中心;另

外還投資超過1.3億建設新會生產基地二期工程,預計於今

年9月竣工,建成後生產基地年產總值將超過100億。

  食物安全問題一再成為全球關注熱話,而李錦記採用

獨一無二的100-1=0的全面品質管理,正是公司以品質和

信譽馳名國際的關鍵,透過這個獨特的管理模式,確保品

質監控零失誤。

  李錦記營運總裁曾慶鴻先生表示,品質管理可分為兩

大層面去探討:第一是公司所採用的品質管理文化,第二

則涉及從原料到生產程式的全面品質管理監控制度。

  他說:「以李錦記為例,100-1=0是公司所倡導的絕

對無誤的品質管理原則,這原則更成為李錦記全體員工認

同和堅持的企業價值觀。品質管理不僅是整個營運部門在

工作例會時必定討論的議題,更是公司上下各功能組別的

員工都視為最重要的環節,對於100-1=0的恪守,甚至遠

超於其他如成本和生產效益等目標。今年,公司更特別成

立了跨地區的網絡溝通機制,讓各廠房的食品安全組專責

監察和檢視全球各地食品安全的需求之際,可以透過定期

開會互相交流、分享和做好通報機制,並為新法例做好充

裕的準備。這套機制不但能針對目前的情況,也更具前瞻

性。舉個例子,如果歐洲要在一年後實施全新的包裝條

例,我們可以通過這個通報機制預先為此做好準備。」

The issue of food safety has once again become a topical issue of global concern. Lee Kum Kee’s adaptation of the unique 100-1=0 system of total quality control is the Company’s key to maintain its quality supervision and its reputation as a trusted brand. Through such quality control measure, Lee Kum Kee is able to achieve zero error in manufacturing.

Mr George Tsang, Lee Kum Kee’s Chief Operating Officer, said that quality control can be explored at two main levels. The first level is the 100-1= 0 quality management culture, and the second is the total quality management monitoring system from raw materials to production process.

He said, “100-1= 0 is the absolutely error-free quality management principle advocated by Lee Kum Kee. This principle has become the corporate core value for all of us. Not only is quality management always on the agenda in the regular meetings in the entire operation team, it is also the most important aspect for all staff in all functions within the Company. The 100-1= 0 principle even transcends other targets such as cost and production efficiency. This year the Company also set up a multi-regional network for communication. The food safety unit of each plant was set up to monitor and examine the food safety needs of different par ts of the world. Staff hold regular meetings to communicate, share and repor t cases, and to make adequate preparations for new legislation. This system not only targets at the current situation, but is also forward looking. For instance, if Europe is to implement a totally new set of packaging regulations in a year’s time, we can ride on the existing regulations, and make adequate preparations through this reporting system.”

  此外,李錦記的品質管理不僅是注重檢查,更要自始

至終「從農場到餐桌」。公司投放了不少資源在監控上游

的生產程式,特別成立專責團隊到農場作定期性的審核,

從播種到收割,都有專人去檢定他們的工作,甚至提供相

關的培訓。

  曾慶鴻特別提到品質管理最關鍵之處是預防,而整個

食品業界最需要注意的是供應鍊的源頭品質管理。夥伴合

作計劃更成為最新供應鍊管理的理念,供應商和生產商不

再停留於買賣方的層面,而是夥伴的關係。他說:「選擇

和培育供應商是最重要的,我們與上游供應商互相合作,

雙方對品質管理方面的要求要清楚釐定。實際上,源頭

管理正好展示了100-1=0的管理理念不是只局限於公司內

部,而是整個供應鍊的品質管理。」

  李錦記有一套完善的原材料檢查制度,對所有的原材

料進行化驗室的檢驗測試。我們的化驗室自1999年獲香港

政府認可處確認為認可實驗室,一直按照ISO17025質量保

證體系有效地運作,也是香港第一家可以進行三氯丙醇檢

驗的認可實驗所,並按照國際上現行就原料和成品所定下

的食物安全標準進行食品檢驗和監控。公司每年除了接受

指定官方機構和一些獨立審核機構的考核外,一些大型客

戶也會定期到廠房進行實地審核,以確保達到品質標準。

Moreover, Lee Kum Kee’s quality management is not just inspection, but also to do everything right. “From the Farm to the Dining Table”, the company has invested a lot of resources in monitoring the upstream production process. A special team has been set up to carry out regular audits at the farm, from the sowing of seeds to the harvesting of crops. Apart from inspecting the work processes, the team also provides related training.

Mr Tsang also mentioned that the real concept of quality management is prevention, and what the entire food industry needs to pay attention to most is the quality management at the star ting point of the supply chain. The par tnership scheme has thus become the latest concept in supply chain management. The suppliers and the manufacturers no longer remain at the level of buying and selling, but they have become partners. He said, “Selecting and nurturing suppliers is the most important aspect. When we cooperate with the upstream suppliers, we need to clearly define the demands of both parties in quality control work. In fact, source management demonstrates that the 100-1= 0 management concept is not confined to the Company’s internal staff, but the quality management of the entire supply chain.”

Lee Kum Kee has a comprehensive raw materials inspection system, inspecting and testing all the raw materials in the laboratory. Our laboratory was accredited in 1999 by the Hong Kong Accreditation Service. It has since been operating effectively under the ISO17025 Quality Assurance System, and is Hong Kong’s first accredited laboratory to conduct 3-MCPD check, and to conduct food inspection and monitoring on the basis of the food safety standards laid down by the international community on raw materials and finished products. The Company is audited annually by appointed authorities and some independent auditing organizations. Apart from that, some major customers will regularly conduct on-site audits at the plant to ensure compliance with the required quality standards.

  公司從農場到製作、加工、生產、出品甚至到處理客

戶投訴都有一套完備的監察機制,我們強調全面品質管

理,並要求全員參與和作出貢獻,讓公司全體員工所有的

功能都可以參與品質管理並就這方面提出意見。曾慶鴻

說:「為了推動這個全員參與的全面品質管理文化,我們

去年第四季在新會廠舉行了一個『100-1=0的運動』;當時

全廠二千多名員工都有參與這活動,我們印製了一本品質

管理手冊,並舉辦比賽,讓工廠、辦公室、研發部、倉庫

的員工都派出團隊參加,還邀請了香港企業支援中心的品

質管理部門一同參與這次活動。」

  曾慶鴻說,每一個員工在生產控制上都會成為一個變

數,人數越多代表變數越大,也會減少生產的穩定性。因

此,李錦記採用全自動化生產流程以避免人為錯誤。李錦

記除了生產自動化之外,也投放了很多資源在自動化的食

品檢測儀器上,如設置重金屬的探測機和X光檢測機等。

For every part of the production process – from farm work to manufacturing, additional processing, and production, to customer complaints Lee Kum Kee has a comprehensive monitoring system. The Company stresses that total quality management requires every staff member to take part and to contribute, so that all staff members of all functions can raise suggestions and take part. Mr Tsang said, “To drive this total quality management culture, we held the 100-1=0 drive in the fourth quarter last year at the Xinhui Plant. At that time, all the over 2,000 staff members took par t in this activity. We published a quality management manual and organized a competition, invited staff members in our plants, offices, R&D depar tment and the warehouses to take par t. We even invited the quality management depar tment of the Hong Kong Corporate Support Centre to join this event.”

On the other hand, Mr Tsang mentioned that every staff member is a variable in the production control process, and the greater the number of people, the greater the variable and the lower the stability of production. Hence Lee Kum Kee has adopted a fully automated production process to avoid human errors. Apar t from production automation, the Company has invested a lot of resources in automating the food inspection equipment, such as heavy metal detectors and X-Ray scanners. He said, “We hope to automate both the production line and the food inspection operations, to ensure the stability of our quality.”

  李錦記集團於2009年4月6日慶祝了121周年創業紀念

日,這個每年一度的活動吸引了逾千名來自世界各地的員

工和賓客參加。

  誌慶活動從李氏家族的祭祖儀式開始,當天早上雖然

不斷下著連綿細雨,但卻絲毫沒有影響大家齊心參與慶典

的熱誠。雖然登山途中天雨路滑,山路更滿佈泥濘,但是

在一班李錦記員工的熱心協助下,大家扶老攜幼,都能夠

平安到達目的地。這些充分體現了李錦記上下一心、團結

一致的團隊精神。

The celebration of the 121st Founder’s Day of Lee Kum Kee was held on 6 April. This annual event was participated by more than 1,000 employees and guests from all over the world.

The event started with the ancestral rites of the Lee family. The continuous drizzles that morning did not dampen the spirits of the staff in taking part in the ceremonial event. Although the road was slippery and muddy, with the attentive assistance of the colleagues, everybody – including the young and the elderly – reached the destination safely. This fully demonstrated the admirable Lee Kum Kee team spirit.

That evening, a gala dinner was held to celebrate the Founder’s Day at the Hong Kong International Trade and Exhibition Centre. Mr David Lee, Chairman of the Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group, made a plea to everyone to treasure and to strengthen Lee Kum Kee’s leadership position in the industry. He stressed again the importance of considering others’ interests in conducting ourselves, and implementing the reversed triangle management model. Mr Sammy Lee, Chairman and Managing Director of the Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group also introduced the endeavour to internationalise the Infinitus brand.

The Founder’s Day is an impor tant annual event for Lee Kum Kee. The objective of this activity is to commemorate Lee Kum Kee’s founder Mr Lee Kum Sheung. Lee Kum Kee is now in its 4th generation, and the Founder’s Day has become part of Lee Kum Kee’s unique corporate culture. Through organizing this annual event, members of the Lee Kum Kee Group will constantly remember how the family has striven to build the enterprise, and will vouch to develop this family business with all their heart and mind.

  由清華大學撰寫和出版的「民族企業品牌之路—李

錦記集團發展歷程分析」一書已經順利出版,並首次於集

團的121周年創業紀念日在香港推出。清華大學工作小組

的主要負責人,包括清華大學前任常務副校長及現清華大

學基金會副理事長楊家慶、清華大學的劉美珣教授和鄒廣

文教授特地來港,與我們共同見證新書發布的重要時刻。

  這本書面世後,受到相關人士的肯定和認同;認為此

書以李錦記這個百年民族企業品牌為案例,其橫跨三個世

紀的不斷創新和持續發展,歷煉百年而不衰,其經營理念

和奧祕,成為中國民營企業進一步發展和壯大的啟迪。特

別是在當下受金融海嘯衝擊的低迷境況下,這本書更為民

族企業在困境中如何自處、自強;在艱難中如何突圍而出

清華大學出版「民族企業品牌之路— 李錦記集團發展歷程分析」Tsinghua University Publishes “Road to Success for a Chinese Ethnic Enterprise Brand – Analysis on the Development of the Lee Kum Kee Group”

The book “Road to Success for a Chinese Ethnic Enterprise Brand – Analysis on the Development of the Lee Kum Kee Group” compiled by Tsinghua University was published and launched on the Lee Kum Kee 121st Founder’s Day in Hong Kong. The key persons of Tsinghua’s Working Committee, including the Deputy Chief of the Tsinghua University Foundation, former Vice President of Tsinghua University Professor Yang Jia-qing, Professor Liu Mei-xun and Professor Zou Guang-wen, made a special trip to Hong Kong, to join the important occasion of the book launch.

Since publication, this book has earned the recognition and affirmation of stakeholders. The book uses Lee Kum Kee as a case study of the success story of a Chinese ethnic enterprise brand which spans three centuries, and has kept on developing and innovating, and how its business philosophy can inspire Chinese ethnic enterprises as they grow. Given the current financial tsunami, this book will provide valuable reference for reflection on how to stay strong and rise from the crowd.

The publication of this book also marks a significant milestone in the heritage of Lee Kum Kee, and is therefore profoundly meaningful to the Company’s sustained growth.

1 醬料集團行政總裁蘇盈福先生Sauce Group CEO Mr Daniel Saw

  李錦記醬料集團由2009年5月1日起委任蘇盈福先生為

醬料集團行政總裁。

  蘇先生於2005年加入李錦記擔任亞洲二區總經理,令

該區域業務顯著增長,並於2007年1月被調往中國,領導

醬料集團中最重要的業務地區。在蘇先生的領導下,中國

的業務僅在兩年之間已達近雙倍的增長。目前,在醬料集

團的全球業務中,中國銷售也成為卓越的市場推廣榜樣。

  蘇先生任職公司期間,顯示了優秀的領導能力、敏銳

的營商觸覺及個人耐力;他履新後將全力協助醬料集團推

動顧客導向的自動波領導模式,希望從內到外締造李錦記

的超級品牌國際新貌。

  蘇盈福說:「我認為環境和條件是人創造出來的,任

醬料集團新總裁迎接新挑戰New Challenges for New Sauce Group CEO

The Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group appointed Mr Daniel Saw as Chief Executive Officer of the Sauce Group, with effect from 1 May 2009.

Daniel joined Lee Kum Kee in 2005 as General Manager of Asia II Region and contributed to the remarkable growth in business since then. In January 2007, he was transferred to China, the most important business region for the Sauce Group. Under Daniel’s leadership, the China business almost doubled in just two years and the region has become an exemplary case of marketing excellence in the global business of the Sauce Group.

Daniel has demonstrated impressive leadership abilities, business acumen and personal perseverance. In his new role, he will be fully committed to promoting the Sauce Group’s customer-driven Autopilot Leadership Model, with an aim to giving facelift to Lee Kum Kee’s international image as a mega brand.

Daniel said, “I believe that the environment and conditions are man made. All challenges can be met, however daunting. In fact, it is precisely because enterprises face challenges that they need us to solve the problems. This gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our skills and passion for work.”

From Daniel’s perspective, the satisfaction of delivering results is holistic. 山大學CEO論壇邀請,為中山大學管理學院的EMBA學員

主講以「傳承四代的百年老店李錦記持續發展之道」為主

題的論壇。

  論壇在4月24日下午舉行。李錦記集團主席李文達先

生、中山大學管理學院院長李新春先生和黃振龍涼茶有限

公司董事長黃富強先生均出席了這次活動。另外,將近

400名EMBA學員、博士研究生、研究生,以及部份企業管

理人員也參加了這次活動。

  在論壇上,李惠森先生分享了李錦記在家族延續和民

族企業經營方面的實踐案例,闡述了李錦記121年來歷久

不衰、持續發展的要素以及家族委員會的生動故事。李惠

森先生還向提問的學員贈送了親筆簽名的「思利及人的力

量」一書,同學們的反應非常熱烈。

  本次活動再次證明了國內著名高等學府對李錦記「思

利及人」核心價值觀的肯定。透過與學員的分享互動,推

動了社會精英對百年民族企業持續發展的關注和認同。特

Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group Chairman and Managing Director Mr Sammy Lee was invited by Sun Yat-sen University to speak at their CEO Forum to the EMBA students of the University’s School of Management on the topic of “Heritage of Four Generations – Lee Kum Kee’s Road to Sustainable Development”.

The forum, held on the afternoon of 24 April, was attended by Lee Kum Kee Group Chairman Mr Lee Man Tat, Dr Li Xinchun of the Sun Yat-sen University School of Management and Mr Huang Fuqiang, Chairman of Wong Chun Loong Traditional Chinese Herbal Tea Co., Ltd., alongside nearly 400 postgraduate students and corporate management personnel.

At the Forum, Sammy shared with the audience how Lee Kum Kee had remained a robust company after 121 years, the essence of its sustainable development, and anecdotes about the Family Committee, to illustrate the succession of the family business as an ethnic Chinese enterprise. Sammy gave out autographed copies of his book “The Power of Considering Others’ Interests”, and received overwhelming response from the students.

This event showed once again the affirmation by renowned Chinese universities of Lee Kum Kee’s core value of “considering others’ interests”. Through sharing and interacting with the students, we have projected a positive image of Lee Kum Kee as a century-old but sustainable ethnic enterprise. Indeed, Lee Kum Kee has inspired entrepreneurs through sharing its own history of development, and this high-level forum has been especially meaningful in the context of the current financial crisis.

  2009年5月9日,在5.12大地震一周年之際,由中國紅

十字基金會主導、李錦記捐款人民幣480萬援建的「李錦

記博愛學校」,在四川省綿陽市平武縣大橋鎮舉行了簡單

而隆重的開工儀式,正式破土動工,預計9月全面竣工。

  平武縣是大地震的重災區之一,原大橋中學的教學

樓、學生住宿樓、教師住宿樓,地震後都受到不同程度的

損壞,為了保證學校師生的安全,當地政府決定在學校原

地進行重建,中國紅十字基金會決定將李錦記的災後慈善

捐款,全部用於這個專案,並重新命名為「李錦記博愛學

校」,新學校為一所九年制學校,可以容納900多名孩子就

讀,其中800多名孩子可以住讀。

  當天上午,中國紅十字基金會副理事長兼秘書長王汝

鵬先生、李錦記有限公司執行董事李惠中先生、綿陽紅十

字會常務副會長陳紅女士、平武縣人民政府副縣長李學義

先生、李錦記家族企業群體事務部總監黃秉玉先生、李錦

記(中國)銷售有限公司企業事務總監李群先生等,以及

學校師生冒著綿綿細雨,共同出席了開工儀式。作為四川

省政協港澳委員的李惠中董事,專程從香港來到災區,代

表李錦記集團致辭,表達了對災區同學們最深切的關懷

和期望,並與紅基會王汝鵬秘書長一起為「李錦記博愛學

校」授牌。

Last year Lee Kum Kee donated RMB 4.8 million in support of the earthquake rehabilitation work led by China Red Cross. Ping Wu County is one of the severely damaged areas during the earthquake. The China Red Cross Foundation decided to use the donated funds to rebuild a school, destroyed by the earthquake at the school’s old site in Daqiao town, Ping Wu County of Mianyang in Sichuan. The original building and dormitories of the Daqiao Secondary School were destroyed. The school will be renamed as “Lee Kum Kee Philanthropy School”, to provide nine-year education for more than 900 students of which about 800 students will be able to enjoy the boarding facilities there.

A foundation laying ceremony for the construction of the Lee Kum Kee Philanthropy School was held on 9 May 2009 – in the wake of the first anniversary of the 512 Sichuan earthquake. The construction is expected to complete in September this year.

In the spirit of the core values of “considering others’ interests” and “contributing to the community”, Lee Kum Kee as a leading Chinese ethnic enterprise, donated more than RMB20 million to support the rehabilitation work in a host of initiatives, including organising summer camps for students and participating in various voluntary and charitable works. The reconstruction of the “Lee Kum Kee Philanthropy School” is a further realisation of the Company’s corporate social responsibility to bring love and hope to the quake affected areas.

  「盛世華人」的選舉活動由大公報主辦,頒獎禮當天

可謂冠蓋雲集,除了「盛世華人」的得獎者,大會還邀請

了本港眾多社會名流二百餘人出席。

  典禮上還推出了「盛世華人」畫冊,共收錄了30多位

傑出華人的故事,李錦記集團主席李文達先生的奮鬥故事

也涵集在內。

  近年來,食品領堿中發生的一系列安全事件給食品企

業敲響了警鐘,質量安全成為企業首要的社會責任。2009

年3月10日,《中國食品質量報》就全國人民代表大會和政

協全國委員會對食品安全所提建議進行了專題報道。報道

中提到:全國政協十一屆委員、李錦記健康產品集團主席

兼行政總裁李惠森建議把每年的11月1日定為全國食品安

全日,以宣揚「生命健康第一」、「食品安全第一」和「企

業社會責任第一」的「三個一」理念。

  李惠森委員認為設立全國食品安全日意義重大:一是

彰顯政府對食品安全的重視,依法實行全程監督管理;二

是強化食品行業協會責任感,提高食品企業的自律性;三

是警醒企業對自身責任的承擔;四是增強公眾對食品安全

的關注,了解《食品安全法》並自我保護。

The series of food safety incidents in recent years have sounded the alarm across the industry. Quality and safety have become the top priority social responsibility for enterprises. On 10 March, the China Food Quality Journal carried a feature on the proposals raised by some representatives of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The report mentioned that 11th CPPCC Member and Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group Chairman and Manag ing Director Sammy Lee proposed to make 1 November every year the National Food Safety Day, to promote the concepts of “life and health first”, “food safety first” and “corporate social responsibility first” as the three “firsts”.

Mr Lee believed that it is very meaningful to set up a National Food Safety Day. The reasons are: (1) This under lines the impor tance that the Government attaches to food safety, and ensures the implementation of total surveillance and management. (2) This reinforces the sense of responsibility of the food industry and emphasises self-discipline within the industry. (3) This reminds enterprises of their responsibility and commitment. (4) This raises public concern about food safety, the food safety legislation, and the importance of self-protection.

On 16 March 2009, Infinitus (China) was officially recognized as the National High-Tech Enterprise by the Government. It was the first national authorization after the evaluation criteria were modified and a sound recognition was made for Infinitus (China) on its technology capacity.

The new evaluation method was released by the Government in April 2008. The authorization standard was significantly improved as the life tenure was abolished and replaced by a 3-year term. The qualitative indicators were also clarified, such as the requirement that an enterprise must have more than 60% gross revenue from products (or service) with its independent intellectual property rights. In their application, companies have to pass the inspection of the local and provincial Science and Technology Bureau, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, State Administration of Taxation and technology experts before final confirmation. Among the former high-tech enterprises, only less than 30% have been re-authorized this time.

Products of Infinitus (China) have been accord with the State policy and listed among the key state supported high-tech fields (biology and new medicine technology, and functional food and biotechnology technology). The authorization is due to its strong scientific and technological strength.

This authorization has five aspects of affirmation. It affirmed the company’s possession of core technology with independent intellectual property rights, of professional technology and R&D team, of heavier R&D investment, of strong transformation capacity from science and technology into achievements, and of higher R&D organization management standards (including R&D management system, researching facilities, research cooperation and financial management system).

The authorization also plays an important role in the company’s future development. It serves to upgrade the company image of science and technology within the industry, to stimulate greater cooperation of research institutions and to attract more professionals to join in. At the same time, Infinitus (China) will receive more support from the state government to help continue to increase research investment, to provide customers with better products in quality and functions, which will in turn promote the development of the market.

網」正式公告無限極(中國)獲得「國家高新技術企

業」認定。這是新審核標準下的首次國家級認定,是

對無限極(中國)科技實力的權威認可。

  2008年4月,國家相關部門出臺了新的《高新技術

企業認定管理辦法》,大幅提高了認定標準,廢除了

過往認定的終身制(改為3年制),明確了各項量化的

評定指標,包括企業的自主核心知識產權的產品(服

務)收入要占企業當年總收入的60%以上等規定。申

報企業必須經過當地科技局、省科技廳、國家科技

部、財政部、國家稅務總局以及國內一流技術專家等

環節的層層嚴格審核,在一致通過之後才能最終獲得

認定。在廣東省原有的高新技術企業中,只有不到

30%比例的企業獲得本次認定。

  李錦記(中國)銷售有限公司於2009年3月2日至3日,

在杭州龍禧福朋喜來登酒店舉行了2009年銷售年會。李

錦記集團主席李文達先生、李錦記醬料集團主席李惠雄先

生、執行董事李惠中先生、李錦記(中國)銷售有限公司

總裁蘇盈福先生、中國區管理層與全國優秀銷售人員共

300多人濟濟一堂,共同參與了是次活動。

  在為期兩天的會議中,蘇盈福先生針對2009年的市場

特點提出了五大核心策略:即整合銷售體系、發展餐飲通

路、加深品牌行銷、建立專業銷售資訊系統及提升銷售培

訓和培養人才。技術總監楊潔明女士發表技術報告,而銷

售部與市場部在行銷、管道銷售、零售及市場支援方面也

提供了有力的支持方案。

  在第二天下午的團隊建設活動中,集團的管理層們與

銷售同仁共同參與,充分體現了「心一致,行動一致」的

精神,這不僅拉近了彼此間的距離,同時也加強了各銷售

The Annual Sales Conference of Lee Kum Kee China Trading Co., Ltd. was held on 2-3 March in Hangzhou. More than 300 par ticipants, including Mr Lee Man Tat, Group Chairman, Mr David Lee, Chairman of Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group, Executive Director Mr Charlie Lee, President of Lee Kum Kee (China) Trading Mr Daniel Saw, the China management team and outstanding sales colleagues, joined the meeting.

During the conference, Daniel put forth 5 core strategies relating consolidating the sales system, developing food service channels, deepening the brand selling, establishing a professional sales information system and improving sales training and developing talents. Ms Yang Jie Ming, Technology Director of Xinhui plant gave a technical report, while the sales and marketing team presented their proposals on trade-marketing, distribution as well as retail and market support.

The management and sales colleagues joined the team building activity on the second day, fully symbolising the spirit of “One vision, one action”. The conference not only provided an opportunity for interaction, but also strengthened the confidence of all staff members to score to new heights in the new year.

  由遼寧省統戰部、遼寧省海外聯誼會、中國聽力醫學

發展基金會、遼寧省殘疾人康復中心共同發起的「和諧遼

寧愛心行」系列公益活動—無限極(中國)捐款30萬元救

助貧困聾兒的語訓班結業儀式及聯歡會,在遼寧省殘疾人

康復中心隆重舉行。

  活動匯報了自去年3月起75名貧困聾兒在康復中心老

師們的悉心培育下,得到科學、系統、全面的康復訓練,

讓孩子們在短短的十個月時間內,就在聽覺上取得了很大

進步,取得跨越天然屏障,走進有聲世界的可喜成果。

  在過去的10個月,公司從管理層到業務夥伴都在持續

關注進行語訓的聾兒們,曾多次到訪康復中心,熱心探訪

這群孩子,並贈送小禮物,與孩子們親切溝通與交流。我

們希望通過這些行動,向孩子們傳遞社會對他們的關愛,

增強他們對生活的信心,同時也體現了企業社會責任感。

  經過大家的共同關愛和培育,聾兒們在聽力、語言、

學習能力和認知能力上都有了明顯的改善,其中,18名孩

子更將於今年9月順利進入正常學校就讀。

The United Front Work Department of Liaoning Province, Liaoning Overseas Friendship Association, China Audiology Development Foundation, and Liaoning Disabled Rehabilitation Center co-sponsored the public welfare activity “Harmonious Liaoning Caring Tour”, to which Infinitus(China) donated RMB 300,000 in helping language training for deaf children from poor families. The closing ceremony of the language training courses for deaf children from poor families was held in the Liaoning Disabled Rehabilitation Center. It was reported that 75 deaf children from poor families had largely improved their hearing after systematic training by teachers from the rehabilitation center within only 10 months since March of last year.

During the past 10 months, the management team and business par tners of the company paid sustained attention to the deaf children. They visited the rehabilitation centres, communicated with the children and presented them gifts. These actions have signified to the children the care of society, enhanced their confidence in life, and projected the Company’s corporate social responsibility.

After continuous training, the deaf children have significantly improved in hearing, talking, learning and cognitive ability. 18 of them will be entering ordinary schools to study in September this year.

The opening ceremony of “Love for You to Hear -Language Training Class for Poor Deaf Children” funded by Infinitus (China) was hosted by China Audiology Development Foundation on 3 March, the “National Ear-care Day”, at Caring School, Baoshan, Yunnan Province.

As the “Help the Deaf Children in Poverty” activity continued to roll out and aroused more people to pay greater attention to the rehabilitation of deaf children, Infinitus (China) called on all the employees and consumers to participate in caring action in 2008. For the sale of every box of Infinitus Nutri-Happy Supplement Meal or Infinitus Nutri-Suit Supplement Meal, the Company would donate RMB 5 towards this cause. Together with individual donations, a total fund of nearly RMB 300,000 was raised. After careful consideration by the China Audiology Development Foundation and local government’s affiliated depar tments on allocation of the funds raised, they decided to use it for buying hearing aids and making eardrums for 30 deaf children (10 from Baoshan, 20 from Tengchong) from poor families, providing them with 10 months’ language rehabilitation training, and also providing training courses for their parents. Great results were achieved in helping the deaf children in poverty.

In March and April, delegations from the Xuhui District Government of Shanghai, the Commercial Bureau of Xinjiang Autonomous Region and the Hengshui District Government of Hebei Province visited Lee Kum Kee Group’s Corporate Support Centre. Group Chairman Mr Lee Man Tat, Sauces Group Chairman Mr David Lee together with the Company’s Executive Director, Mr Eddy Lee greeted the delegations. During the visits, the Company introduced in detail Lee Kum Kee’s fully automated production process and advanced product testing facilities.   李夫人還邀請嘉賓到兆南樓享用甜品,並親

切地聆聽嘉賓們對此行的感受,隨後各位嘉賓

在新會廠副總經理莫國棟先生的陪同下參觀了廠

房。翌日,嘉賓們還參觀了新會葵博園、勞動大

學、小鳥天堂以及梁啟超故居,增加了一眾嘉賓

對新會旅遊文化的認識。

On 14 March, 16 guests from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology visited Lee Kum Kee’s Xinhui Plant, and were welcomed by Mrs Lee Choi May Ling and the management team of the Xinhui Plant. They had lunch at the central canteen of the plant. Mrs Lee accompanied the guests as they visited the Infinitus (China) Xinhui Production Base and the newly built Chinese Herbal Medicine Park.

Mrs Lee also invited the guests to Siu Nam Lodge for a casual chat over desser ts. Then the guests were accompanied by Mr Tony Mok, Deputy General Manager to visit the Xinhui Plant. The next day, the guests toured around the Xinhui Palm-leaves Expo Garden, Labour University, Birds Paradise and the Former Residence of Liang Qichao. The local tour gave them a better understanding of Xinhui’s cultural attractions.

  香港企業支援中心新設立的廚藝及家政中心,舉行了

一次以「中醬西用」為題的聚餐。李惠民先生與十二位同

事是晚享用了六道以李錦記醬料烹調的西餐,各同事體驗

了該中心的運作之後,給予了很多寶貴意見,相信定能令

廚藝及家政中心在日後運作得更完善。

  廚藝及家政中心不但設有家庭式的廚房設施,亦加設

了餐飲及工業用的設備及機器,再加上宴會室及演示廳的

配套,日後各同事可充分利用這資源,進行宴請客戶、員

工培訓、廚師示範和交流等各類活動。

The newly established Culinary and Home Economics Centre in the Corporate Support Centre is well equipped with home use stoves, food services utensils as well as industrial use facilities. With the support of a dining room and an auditorium, Lee Kum Kee colleagues could fully utilize these resources for staff training, cooking demonstrations as well as for entertaining guest.

A dinner themed “application of Lee Kum Kee sauces on western dishes” was organised for staff to try out the new application of our sauces as well as the facilities of the Culinary and Home Economics Centre. They gave valuable comments on the food and facilities, which would help improve the service standards of the Centre.

To equip the food service sales and marketing colleagues with product application knowledge about major regional cuisines of China, Global Marketing has developed a set of 3 DVDs featuring Chinese Cuisines, including Beijing-Shanghai dishes, Cantonese dishes and Sichuan and Hunan dishes. Three master chefs in Hong Kong were invited to demonstrate 30 dishes in the DVDs.

These star chefs demonstrated the dish preparations, the use of sauces and cooking skills in the programme. There is also a booklet in the DVD set containing the concise background of the cuisines, the recipes, as well as descriptions of sauce applications, cooking tips and so on. The DVDs were sent to zone representatives and are ready to share with related colleagues for internal training purposes.

  公司在2月誠邀台灣著名烹飪教師—程安琪女士前來

參觀李錦記位於香港大埔的企業支援中心和新會廠。程老

師擔任李錦記台灣市場烹飪顧問已一年,我們除安排她參

觀廠房外,更安排了程老師在實驗廚房進行產品試味和烹

飪料理技巧分享,並在新會品嚐了醬油宴。

  程老師表示這是她第一次參觀醬油及醬料工廠,很高

興能瞭解醬油的整個生產過程,提高了她對李錦記廠的生

產流程、醬油缸的設備和品質管理的認同,也增強了她對

李錦記產品的信心。她十分欣賞使用不同李錦記醬料創製

出來的菜式,對此感到趣味無窮。

In February, Lee Kum Kee invited famous Taiwan cooking teacher Ms Angela Cheng to visit the Corporate Support Centre in Hong Kong and the Xinhui Plant. In addition to the plant visit, we also organised a product tasting and cooking technique sharing session at the Culinary and Home Economics Centre, and a “soy sauce” banquet in Xinhui.

Angela mentioned that this was her first time visiting our Sauce Plant, and that she was especially impressed with Lee Kum Kee’s state-of-the-art production facilities and stringent quality control procedures. This arrangement enhanced her understanding of the Lee Kum Kee sauce production process and high-quality standard. She was also thrilled by the creative dishes made with Lee Kum Kee sauces.

  美國李錦記為增加主流消費人群對熊貓牌系列新產

品的試用率,於2009年1月聯合當地報紙投遞服務進行

了「產品試用投遞到家」的活動。此活動集中在加州洛杉

磯和三藩市兩大地區,共有15萬戶人家在當天訂閱的報紙

To increase the new product trial rate targeting at American mainstream customers, Lee Kum Kee (USA) Inc. introduced the “House Drop” programme as par t of the Panda Brand® launch campaign in January 2009. This programme targeted at two main cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco. A total of 150,000 households received a pack of our Panda Brand® Menu-Oriented Sauce along with a coupon for a future purchase in their newspaper. The China Condiment Industry Association aims to foster the development of the condiment industry in China. The Association’s President Mr Wei Xiangyun and his wife visited Lee Kum Kee (USA) Inc facility in Los Angeles. The purpose of the visit was for Mr Wei to better understand FDA’s rules and regulations on imported food as well as Lee Kum Kee’s US operations and capacity in regards to the production of Asian condiments in the American market.

Mr Wei’s visit included a tour of the warehouse, and the new production facility. He was briefed on Lee Kum Kee (USA) Inc’s strong market position in the Asian condiments category when he visited key Asian and mainstream supermarkets.

On 13 February 2009, students from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park visited the Lee Kum Kee facility for an Asian Sauce Seminar. The Institute is well known for nurturing star chefs of the new generation.

The seminar, hosted by Chef Rober t Danhi, gave an in-depth presentation to culinary students on the use of authentic Chinese sauces in Asian cooking. Students learned about various Lee Kum Kee sauces, including Oyster Flavored Sauce, Mushroom Dark Soy Sauce, Chili Garlic Sauce, Plum Sauce and other sauces and how each of these flavours work with various cooking ingredients. The seminar strengthened the students’ understanding of the Lee Kum Kee brand.

The Panda Brand® offers to consumers sauces made with natural ingredients. The products drew large consumer attention right after its launch.

The new Panda Brand® was also warmly introduced and welcomed into other Asian supermarket chains serving the Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Filipino customers. Malaysia held a prize giving ceremony for the winners of a consumer promotion. The objectives of the consumer programme were to reward Lee Kum Kee loyal consumers for their continued suppor t and at the same time to celebrate the Company’s Anniversary.

The responses from the contestants were very encouraging. Prizes worth more than HKD70,000 were awarded to winners – including a trip to Hong Kong and cash vouchers from some leading retail outlets.

More than 500 Chinese restaurateurs from across the United States attended the award presentation. The “Top 100” winners were recognised among 44,000 Chinese restaurants across America. The award categories included top recognition for regional cuisines, Asian fusion, decor, healthy menus and rising star chefs.

The organisers of the “Top 100” committee also invited Las Vegas Mayor, Mr Oscar Goodman and famous Culinary Master, Chef Martin Yan. Mr Goodman wore the Lee Kum Kee Chef uniform and shared the stage with a special culinary demonstration by Martin Yan, which captivated the audience with great fun and joy.

2009李錦記烹任教師及家政專家烹飪比賽,在R inna i

Cooking Studio圓滿舉行,透過這次比賽,選出10名專業烹

飪教師及家政專家,將於2009年協助宣傳李錦記品牌及產

品。

  在這次比賽中,參賽者以李錦記醬料做出各種創意無

窮的佳餚,如豆瓣醬炒義大利麵,蒸辣大蜆及特色餃子

等。李錦記於2009年贊助該10位烹飪愛好者使用李錦記醬

料,於他們的烹飪課堂教授學生使用這些醬料,促使李錦

記醬料及應用滲透到更多韓國的家庭用戶。

The first Lee Kum Kee Cooking Contest 2009 in Korea jointly organized by Lee Kum Kee and an on-line cooking community, Cycook.com, for cooking teachers and home economists was successfully held in the Rinnai Cooking Studio.

With the support of Cycook.com, 10 cooking teachers and home-economists were shortlisted for the contest. They made creative dishes using Lee Kum Kee products such as Chili Bean Sauce Pasta, Steamed Spicy Mussel and Rice Dumpling.

Lee Kum Kee will sponsor sauces throughout 2009 for those 10 winners, who will help promote Lee Kum Kee sauces and applications during their classes to penetrate into the Korean consumer market and households.

領下,於1月13至16日飛抵香港,展開為期4天的豐盛之

旅。

  這次,學生們參觀了李錦記新會廠和品嚐了醬油宴,

加強了學生們對李錦記多元化產品和嚴謹的生產流程的認

識。學生們還被安排到中華廚藝學院學習,親身嘗試烹調

正宗中菜;學院裏先進及齊全的廚房設備令學生們大開眼

界。透過這次緊密而豐富的旅程,學生們有機會學習到正

宗中菜的烹調技術,也更瞭解李錦記醬料的用途。

Lee Kum Kee organized the 2nd University Student Cooking Contest and each champion from 6 colleges won a round-trip air ticket from Korea to Hong Kong. Lee Kum Kee Korea Consultant Chef Lu Ching Lai led the students on a fruitful four-day trip from 13 to16 January.

To enhance understanding of diversified Lee Kum Kee products and their production process, the students visited the Lee Kum Kee Xinhui plant and enjoyed a Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce Banquet. Students were also invited to the Chinese Cuisine Training Institute to learn authentic Chinese cooking skills using state-of-the-ar t Chinese kitchen facilities.

During the trip, the students had a great opportunity to learn more about the Chinese culinary culture and to better understand about Lee Kum Kee Sauces.

The Bowling Night was held at the Bowling Centre at Kowloon Bay and 36 staff were divided into 9 groups for the competition. All participants enjoyed an exciting and delightful evening and Timothy Sung of I/E Dept won the Championship of the “Individual Highest Score”.

善行山活動。我們首次派出了一支4人50公里團體及多位

25公里個人參加比賽。在「李錦記(新會)100-1=0」響亮

口號的鼓舞下,經過了一個多月的訓練,比賽過程中,面

對崎嶇不平的山路和陰雨連綿的潮濕天氣,隊員們仍滿懷

信心,團結一致,大步向前,不拋棄,不放棄,大家沒有

一個人叫苦叫累,沒有一個人掉隊,即使在我們的隊友受

傷的情況下,仍堅持前行,並一次又一次地超過其他比賽

選手,頑強地堅持到最後,奮力衝向終點!我們終於完成

了比賽,我們感慨著勇者無畏,感慨著齊心協力,感慨著

路在腳下,感慨著重在堅持!

  通過難忘的一天,大家都深刻體會到,比賽過程中是

自己身體狀況與鬥志的抗爭,是挑戰自我,突破極限的歷

程,借此活動也宣揚公司對品質追求的理念和文化!

Lee Kum Kee’s Xinhui Plant took part in the charity event – 16th Green Power Hike organised by Green Power. The Company formed a 4-person team for the 50-km challenge and a number of colleagues took part in the individual 25-km category. Encouraged by the slogan “Lee Kum Kee (Xinhui) 100-1=0”, the participants trained for over a month for the event. Despite the rugged trail and the wet weather, the participants were full of confidence and team spirit. Nobody grudged against fatigue, and nobody dropped out. Although we suffered physical injury, we persevered and even overtook a lot of other competitors. Finally we completed the distance in great form. We celebrated our bravery, team spirit and tough endurance.

After that unforgettable day, we all had the strong feeling that we were competing against our own physical limits – meeting our personal challenges and pursuing new heights. In addition, the event allowed us to publicise our Company’s pursuit of quality and culture of excellence.

  3月29日,李錦記龍舟隊於沙田城門河

參加《第十屆香港龍舟錦標賽》,該項目共有

9隊參與比賽,競爭非常激烈。最後,李錦

記龍舟隊以48秒佳績奪得二百米公開錦標賽

季軍。

  此外,李錦記龍舟隊於5月24日參加東

區區議會贊助的男子中龍商行賽銀盃賽,勇

奪季軍,以及於5月28日參加2009香港仔龍

舟競渡大賽獲得殿軍,成績驕人!

On 29 March, the Lee Kum Kee Dragon Boat Team took par t in the 10th Hong kong Dragon Boat Tournament in Shing Mun River, Sha Tin. Nine teams vied for the trophies, and after a round of fierce competition, the Lee Kum Kee Team won third prize in the 200m Open Championship with a record of 48 seconds.

On 24 May, the Lee Kum Kee Dragon Boat Team took par t in the Men’s Inter-hong Silver Cup Competition sponsored by the East District Council and won bronze. Then the Team took part in the 2009 Aberdeen Dragon Boat Race on 28 May and became 3rd Runner-Up. Well done!

I am delighted that I had the chance to join colleagues from different depar tments on this 10-day trip to the US. I boarded the plane with great excitement, to start the 10-day trip to the US. I will never forget the prosperous Las Vegas, the great Grand Canyon… and the special lunch on the train!

I am really grateful to Lee Kum Kee for giving me this unforgettable experience. How I wish to do it again!

9 October was a really special day. It was the first day of the incentive tour to the US west coast.

On the 10-day trip, the 22 of us visited several major coastal cities – experiencing the high-tech prosperity of the metropolises and the grandeur and harmony of Nature. We visited Disneyland where we rediscovered our youth, and savoured the colour and mood of the seaside towns. To crown it all, we had the valuable chance of visiting Lee Kum Kee’s modern plant in Los Angeles.

All in all, the most special thing about the tour was that all of us had been with Lee Kum Kee for 15 years. Although some of us had never before seen each other, there was this binding force generated by Lee Kum Kee’s unique corporate culture. The strength of cohesion and harmony has inspired us to continue to live up to the Lee Kum Kee’s Spirit of “Pragmatism, Integrity and Entrepreneurship.”

這次的西歐之旅,真的不枉此行!意大利梵蒂岡、法國

大教堂、古羅馬鬥獸場等古代建築真是巧奪天工,瑞士雪

山及沿途風景也教人如癡如醉。

在行程尾站付小費的時候,團友們知道我們四人是李錦記

支付費用的,都為我們感到高興。其中兩位團友更說道:

「有這樣的好老闆,一定有好產品。日後更有信心享用李

錦記產品了。」我聽到這樣的評語,也感到非常自豪呢!

本人很榮幸能夠加入李錦記這個大家庭成為一份子。在過

去這麼多年的工作,能夠得到公司和部門主管的認同和支

持,還有一班發揮團隊精神和合作無間的同事一起共事,

真是自豪和感謝。

這次的歐洲之旅,很多謝公司和人才資源部同事的安排,

讓我帶著既緊張又愉快的心情踏上這次的行程,觀賞到

This trip to Western Europe was well worth it! The Vatican, the cathedrals in France, and the Roman Coliseum are all magnificent ancient architectural wonders. Meanwhile, the Swiss Alps and the scenery en route were truly captivating!

When it came to paying tips at the end of the trip, the other tour members learnt that we were paid for by Lee Kum Kee, and they felt happy for us. Two of them even said, “Such good employers should produce good products. In future, we will have even greater confidence in Lee Kum Kee products!” I was really proud to hear such comments!

I am really proud to become a member of the Lee Kum Kee family. I am truly grateful that I have over the years been able to enjoy the recognition and support of the Company and the department heads, and to work in cooperation with a team of highly spirited colleagues.

I am thankful to the Company and my colleagues in the Human Resources Depar tment for organising this happy and exciting tour, which enabled me to appreciate the customs and cultures of different countries – the breathtaking scenery, and the historical relics… this is really an eye-opener!
