1. “We are grateful to the MDGs for bringing us this hospital. In the past, we had a small place, which we combined both the laboratory, PMCTC for testing women and several others, which was difficult, but now with this construction, we have enough space. We now have a separate place for testing pregnant women, a place for family planning, laboratory and also for consulting. We now have different male and female wards, post- natal room, a pharmacy and dispensary. We also have enough water provided for us. Since our old borehole went bad, we were buying water for all our services, but God has made it possible that we no longer buy water, we are grateful for this. Our accommodation problem has been solved now, with the staff quarters built for us. We are happy and the community is also happy”. - Mabel Zubairu, Officer In Charge, PHC Gurin, Furore LGA 2. “Honestly, we are happy with this assistance that has come the way of this town, Maiha, because this area is a very difficult place to access potable water, but we are very happy and thank God for this water. The water is better and sweeter than our former source which was the river, our people wish they can see those who constructed this water to show them appreciation”. - Adamu Abdulkadir, Manager, Small Town Water Scheme, Belel, Maiha LGA 3. “Really, the people here are very grateful for this clinic, because there was nothing like this here, and people around here were really suffering in their search for medical services. They had to travel long distances to seek medical help, and in the process, some had accidents, but with this clinic here, that is over and everybody is enjoying it, so we thank MDGs for its support, and we pray that God will give them the ability to do more”. - Habiba Audu, Nurse, PHC Mubi, Mubi North LGA 4. MDGs have brought a lot of developmental projects to Maiha Local Government. Before the coming of MDGs in Maiha Local Government, we had a serious problem of water in Konkol Ward, but now it has better water than Yola, the capital of Adamawa, because of the MDGs intervention. The overhead tank that is there is even better than the one here at the Local Government headquarters, almost every part of that ward has sufficient water. In Maiha Local Government, we have enjoyed MDGs intervention. Our clinics that were abandoned for years, have now been renovated by the MDGs. in fact we in Maiha, have nothing other to say than we are grateful. - Adamu Buba, Vice Chairman, Maiha LGA 5. We are very happy for what MDGs has done for us here, because in the past, water was our major problem. We were using one small well, but today, MDGs has now sunk a borehole for us, which is now the only source of water for the entire community. Day or night, you will always find children here fetching water, so in all honesty, we are very happy. In addition to this, a new hospital has been constructed for us, which has since been completed and we have moved in with quality equipment, so we are elated. This community has set up a committee to take good care of these facilities. We are grateful to MDGs, because we have seen its usefulness and we have seen all their works. - Hammawa Bapulla, Officer In Charge, PHC Gurin, Furore LGA 6. We in Mayo-Belwa, are really grateful to the MDGs, because MDGs has done a lot in Mayo-Belwa Local Government, to ensure that lives of the people of this local government are made better, and I can mention few of the things they have done. They have constructed a clinic at May-Farang, another one at Jereng, another at Ardo. We are really grateful for these three clinics constructed by the MDGs, and our people are benefiting from them. - Barde Yassa (Vice Chairman, Mayo-Belwa LGA) PROVISION OF SOLAR POWERED BOREHOLE AT WURO HARDE PHC.MOBI NORTH LGA.
