• channel - the medium, or the way the message is sent

• feedback - includes all messages, verbal and nonverbal, sent by listeners to speakers

• environment - the physical setting and the occasion for communication

• noise - anything that distracts from effective communication

• an individual has their own personal dialogue, thus the prefix “intra-” which means within.

• their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas are communicated to themselves.

• as soon as a human being awakens, begins the intrapersonal communication - internal thought process and dialogue, almost always silent, but sometimes aloud.

• exchange of information between two people• varies depending on the relationship between

• group communication occurs when three or more individuals, who have a common goal, interact either formally or informally

• process by which a person, group of people, or large organization creates a message and transmits it through some type of medium to a large audience
