MigrationWe don’t support an ‘Upgrade in place’ so planning for migration will be key.



u The challenge with these types of mixtures is of consistency for the user

u V9 clients and servers simply don’t have the new persistent chat features.

u They will work with the V10 clients and servers, but will have that ‘Classic’ look and feel until upgraded.

u A V9 client talking to a V10 client will look very different to each other if comparing.

u If you are using Configuration to set policy or restrict clients by ID, be sure to account for the new IDs as you move forward.

u Both Community and Sametime Proxy must be upgraded to V10

u In a clustered environment, all servers must be upgraded; no mixing!
