Ballet• The term "ballet" originates from the Italian word "ballare" meaning "to dance".

• Ballet dance is generally accepted all over the world as one of the most artistic forms of dance entertainment cherished by people of all ages.

• Ballet is said to be a combination of choreography and art, scenic design, lighting, costume, graceful movements and usually solemn music.

• It is an artistic dance like no other, that can be used to express different emotions or to tell a story.

Ballroom dance• Ballroom dancing is a partnership dance where couples, using step-patterns, move rhythmically, expressing the characteristics of music.

• Ballroom dancing consists of two styles: the Smooth, or Standard, and the Rhythm, or Latin.

• The Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep are danced in this manner.

Break dance• Breakdancing is an athletic style of street dance from the United States. While diverse in the amount of variation available in the dance, breakdancing mainly consists of four kinds of movement: toprock, downrock, power moves and freezes.

• Many of moves come from gymnastics and kung-fu.

• The dance style evolved during the 70s and 80s in big cities of the United States.

Flamenco

• Flamenco is a Spanish dance form .

• Flamenco originated in the southern regions of Spain .

• Flamenco is a very emotional style of dance. Flamenco dancers try to express their deepest emotions by using body movements and facial expressions. As the dancers perform, they may also clap their hands or kick their feet. Many dancers also snap small percussion handheld instruments.

Salsa• Salsa is a Latin dance associated with the music genre of the same name which was first popularized in the United States in the 1960s in New York City.

• Salsa dancing is an international dance that can be found in most metropolitan cities in the world.

• Salsa dancing is a mixture of several Latin dances.

• Salsa is a syncretic dance form with origins from Cuba as the meeting point of Spanish (European) and African cultures.
