• Welcome! I’d like to tell you about my weekly trip to the grocery store. Usually, this trip happens on Saturday. It’s not the most ideal day to shop since the stores are packed on Saturdays. But I do like to shop with my husband and daughter so we often go on Saturday.

• The first aisle in the store is filled with dry goods. Chips, nuts, breakfast cereal, tea, and cookies fill this aisle. Of course, we need some of these items in our cart. Next, we stop off to get some milk and eggs. This is at the end of the store. We also get bread at the end of the store.

• After that, we go down the aisle with the canned goods and pasta. We get cans of baked beans, refried beans, green beans, and butter beans. I guess we eat a lot of beans! We usually get some kind of pasta as well like spaghetti and rotini.

• Finally, we stop at the aisle with the produce and the meat. We get plenty of fruit and vegetables along with lots of potatoes. We eat potatoes frequently during the winter and less frequently during the summer. We don’t buy a lot of meat but usually buy chicken.

• At the checkout lane, there is always the temptation to put something else in the cart. For example, sometimes there is a delightful bunch of flowers for sale while at other times, a sweet treat like a cake or cookies is next to the checkout lane. Sometime I succumb to purchase these items and other times, I do not. Most weeks, I spend around $80.00 for my groceries.
