One of the greatest callings in the church, is in keeping one of the Lord’s houses of worship inviting to the spirit so individuals can be brought closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Responsible to help members to appreciate, respect and deepen their reverence for these facilities.

Ward PFR’s are sentinels for the church.
Protect the members from accidents and harm.
Protect the church from OSHA fines.

Sample Member Participation Schedule
(15 minutes)
Minimum time should be spend on Sunday – Sunday preparations takes place during the week.
Tidy up blg. After Sunday use.
Building PFR checks every night to see that members have:
• cleaned after use.
• locked after using the facility
• turn off lights and equipment, etc.
First Ward Mtg-Unlocks blg. Scheduled- set up chairs.
Last Ward takes chairs down. Youth gathers, dumps garbage from bathrooms, Sac. Prep. Room, and blg. And places bags in dumpster.(15 minute Clean)Lock-up person Secures blg.

What do members do?
They clean up after themselves
Replace paper products
Replace lights under or about 8 feet .
Clean the shrubs and planter areas
Do some repairs ( If you can tighten it with a screw driver or tighten it with a wrench, members can repair it. No electrical items! All other types of repairs are by qualified church employees or contractors with insurance policies of $1,000,000 US Dollars)

Stake Physical Facility Representative(Stake PFR)
1. Inspects, gathers information and reports items to the Facilities Management Group. (Call on Monday, item will be repaired by Friday.
2. Insures facilities are protected. See that wards call and sets apart a Ward Physical Facility Representative for: Cleaning, lock-up and energy conservation.
3. Insures members are trained properly on church cleaning standards. Trains the Ward Physical Facility Representative (Ward PFR) over cleaning on church cleanliness standards.
4. Insure facilities are cared for in the proper way and passes information to and from the Ward.

Ward Physical Facility Representative(Ward PFR)
Lock-Up & Security, Energy Conservation
1. Check facility each night after hours. (10:30-11:00)
2. Insure all windows, doors are closed and locked.
3. Insure all lights, heat, AC is off.
4. Inspects facility for broken windows, locks, etc.
5. Reports all findings to the Stake PFR. The Stake PFR calls the Facility Management office on Monday, the items will be repaired by Friday.

Ward Physical Facility Representative(Ward PFR)
Member Participation in Cleaning
1. Trained in duties by the Stake PFR, FM Group.
2. Present on Saturday Cleaning of the facility.
3. Trains members in the proper cleaning techniques.
4. Insures the facility is clean by church standards.
5. Reports all problems, or lack of tools and supplies to the Stake PFR.
6. Insures only the approved chemicals are used.

This foam soap was installed 9/12/2008 and removed 3/16/2009. This lasted over a 6 months period and still has soap that will last 2 to 3 more weeks.

HVAC
Winter & Summer - Warm Air and Cool Air Controls are to be set at 65˚ unoccupied.
Winter Warm Air 70˚ to 71˚ and Cool Air Controls are to be set at 85˚ occupied.
Summer Cool Air set at 72˚.
Usually an 1 hour occupy button. Turn off when leaving the room.
Close chapel doors when using AC.
Do not open windows when using AC.
If problem – we will be there immediately.

Water Heater Controls
State regulations on thermostat settings for water heaters are 120˚ at the water heater and no hotter than 108˚ to 110˚ at distribution.
The temperatures are pre-set and not to be adjusted.

Sample 15 Minute Clean-upPerform the following tasks after weekly activities and Sunday meetings:1. Pick-up after yourself throughout meetings.
– If you turn it on, turn it off. If you drop it, pick it up. If you get it dirty, clean it up. If you take it out, put it away.

4. Mop obvious problem areas (nursery, foyers, hallways, etc.).
