Belgium is arguably the most rabid cycling nation in the world. So it’s no surprise that the country that produced Eddy Merckx, the Tour of Flanders and embrocation would also produce some of the best bicycle products. Lazer is the world’s oldest helmet company, having started out making old leather hairnets for Belgian hardmen racing steel bicycles over cobbled farm roads.

Our products are the result of over 90 years of experience, passion and dedication. We are always trying to create the perfect mix between design, comfort, safety and technology.

This attitude has shaped Lazer into one of the most innovative helmet companies in the world.

SRollsys® fit systemThe main goal of wearing a helmet is to avoid getting injured. The fitting of a helmet is therefore very important and is essential for safety and comfort.

As Lazer is always looking for innovation, we developed the most advanced fit system to optimize comfort and fit.

The Lazer Rollsys® system is born…

What is it and how does it work ?

Compared to the standard fit systems the Lazer Rollsys® system is a fully integrated mechanism which surrounds the head completely. By turning a smooth thumb wheel – situated on top of the helmet rather than the back of the helmet – the Rollsys® system permits an accurate and progressive peripheral sizing adjustment. The fit of the helmet will symmetrically be tightened without any pressure points on the head.

The Rollsys® system offers an innovative one hand use and is easy to handle even during riding. By taking away the retention system at the back the Rollsys® system is also the perfect solution for people with a ponytail.

Roll into the Future

From the moment the Rollsys® system was introduced to the market, it immediately got rewarded for its design and innovation. The testing by thousands of riders proved its efficiency and durability. In other words… plenty of reasons to integrate the Rollsys® system in each newly developed helmet.

SAutoFit® SystemHow do you make the best helmet retention system in the world even better ? Make it even easier to use. That’s exactly what we did with the new Autofit® system, exclusively from Lazer Sport.

How does it work ?

Based on the incredible Rollsys® system, but even easier to operate, the Autofit® system eliminates any need to manually adjust the helmet retention. As a fully integrated system, totally invisible from the outside of the helmet, the Autofit® system connects the rear basket and the front

head belt of the retention system and puts a constant and even tension between these two components. To put the helmet on simply pull the rear basket and the head belt away from each other, put the helmet on your head and Autofit® system will automatically tighten itself around your head for an optimal fit each and every time !

The patent-pending technology of the Autofit® system is designed to provide equal and constant pressure without discomfort. Regardless of head size or shape, Autofit® will adjust automatically and provide a secure yet comfortable fit.

SATS® Advanced Turnfit SystemUpdating the classic.

The ATS® is a new interpretation of the classic Turnfit® system. We have combined the traditional Turnfit® with the Rollsys® head basket to create an even more effective retention system. A dial at the back of the helmet now controls a basket that grips a large part of back of the head. A quick turn of the ATS® dial makes sure the basket grips the back of the head for a snug yet comfortable fit that keeps the helmet firmly in place. The ATS® system offers an innovative one hand use and is easy to handle even during riding.

Advanced Rollsys System

Improving on perfection

An update on the original Rollsys® retention system, the ARS® operates in the exact same way but provides an even smoother operation and higher size range.

Why is it advanced ?

The ARS® is a fully integrated system which surrounds the head. By turning a smooth thumb wheel – situated on top of the helmet it permits an accurate and progressive peripheral sizing adjustment. A construction of soft plastic cables will be symmetrically be tightened without any pressure points on the head, providing an extremely comfortable fit.

Besides the comfort, the ARS® is also easy to use and only requires 1 finger to tighten the helmet. So you can easily control the fit during riding. Because of the shape of the basket the ARS® also grips the head firmly but allows enough space to be ponytail friendly.

SEyewear integration — Helmet and eyewear working togetherAt Lazer we feel that eyewear and helmets should be a perfect synergy, one complementing the other and working together.

Nowhere is this more obvious than with our Magneto eyewear system. Magneto is an award winning and revolutionary sunglass / helmet interface that offers the user improved comfort and superior fit. Recognizing that traditional sunglass temples cause trouble for some wearers both in terms

of fit, contact with the helmet’s retention system and added pressure to the side of the head at the contact points, Lazer has eliminated these temple pieces and replaced them with a clever magnetic attachment system. The helmet strap features two clips with a small piece of rubber – coated metal at the center, this allows for an attachment with magnets that are imbedded in two short tabs that connect to the sunglass lens.

The result is a secure fit of the lens on the face but with the ability for adjustment both up and down and forewords and backwards.

With Magneto in use there is no possibility for interference of the Rollsys® retention system and the side of the head is left unobstructed to keep cool. The absence of normal sunglass temples also results in very little pressure on the user’s head which eliminates headaches and fatigue during a long day in the saddle. Magneto is available as both an interchangeable piece with three different lens options or as a photochromatic piece with lenses that adapt automatically to varying light conditions. For off the bike use there are standard sunglass temples included, allowing you to take Magneto with you wherever you go.

Aeroshell®

Lazer Sport continues its reputation in cutting edge innovation by presenting the patented Aeroshell®.

The Aeroshell® is a plastic cover, designed to fit perfectly over specific models of Lazer helmets. The Aeroshell® snaps into place and protects the riders head from wind and rain while still allowing for some air movement under the front of the helmet and out the rear vents. The Aeroshell® is unique in that it is easily removed from the helmet when riding conditions are such that additional ventilation is desired. Snap it on when the rain is pouring down and pull it off when the sun starts to shine, the Aeroshell® is the perfect tool for every possible condition.

Alternatively the Aeroshell® provides a significant increase in aerodynamic performance once it is installed on the helmet. By closing off the ventilation holes, the amount of aerodynamic drag the helmet creates is strongly reduced, resulting in a faster ride.

SMIPSAn even safer helmet.

MIPS or Multi-directional Impact Protection System adds an additional safety aspect to the helmet. It outfits a standard helmet with a low friction layer to reduce rotational acceleration in case of a crash. This way the helmet with the MIPS system imitates the brain’s own protection system.

How it works.

The shell and liner of the helmet are separated by a low friction layer. This means the shell of the helmet can move relative to the liner. In case of a crash the low friction layer

will help to absorb a part of the impact and thereby reduce the rotational forces to the head.

Why is this important ?

Most bicycle crashes are oblique (occur at an angle), these kinds of impacts create rotational violence to the brain, which in turn can cause the most severe brain damage.

The MIPS system imitates the natural protective properties of the human brain and gives proven reduction of rotational forces. It doesn’t interfere with helmets existing protective properties – it only adds protection to the most common type of impacts and against the most severe type of brain injuries.

Lazer has developed this technology in collaboration with some of the largest universities in Sweden and has tested this with computer models and real life testing.

Genesis LifeBEAMHelmet with heart rate monitoring.Cyclists who want to monitor and improve their performance cannot ignore their heart rate and other vital functions. Your personal heart rate provides a window to your individual fitness and athletic ability.

Why should you measure your heart rate ?

When you keep track of your heart rate during exercise you will be able to ensure the effectiveness of your training program.

Everybody has a heart rate range that is considered most effective for training. If you stray outside this range you are losing the effectiveness of your training session. By easily being able to accurately track your heart rate you will know when to work harder and when to take a break. Your training will be much more valuable and your fitness will quickly improve.

The most common way of tracking your heart beat is by using a chest strap. Computers, Smartphones, watches and other modern communication tools can all connect to the chest strap to tell you your heart beat. But chest straps can be annoying or constricting. They can also chafe and irritate you.

This can all be solved with the Lifebeam helmet. LifeBEAM is the world’s first and only cycling helmet that continuously measures the rider’s heart rate, no chest strap needed. The helmet seamlessly pairs to fitness devices and smartphones through ANT + and BLE 4.0 and displays the rider’s real-time heart rate. This proprietary optical sensor and algorithm were developed, tested, and perfected in the aerospace industry under extreme conditions. As a result, LifeBEAM Helmet is completely motion resistant, so it can be used on any terrain, even the most intense MTB trails. LifeBEAM Helmet is also truly all-weather, performing well in any condition such as rain, humidity, and extreme hot and cold climates.

Riding in the dusk ? Stayed out on a bike ride a little too late ? Forgot to bring your lights with you ? Whatever the situation, it is important to be seen by other road users. So you better make sure there is a way you can be spotted.

Enter high visibility colors, integrated lights and reflective material…

At Lazer safety is our major concern, that’s why we have added fluo colors, reflective material and integrated lights to our helmets throughout the range. Your helmet is the highest and most visible point for other road users, so making sure that stands out is the best way to attract attention.

In that regard we outfitted our road, MTB, urban and even kids helmets with ways to be seen. Our exclusive Lazer fluo helmet treatment creates a luminescent color that provides high visibility, will not fade over time and will stand out in traffic to keep you noticed !

From LED lights in helmets like the Helium and Ultrax, to reflective stickers on O2, P’nut, Nut’Z, … and many more. Almost every model has a high visibility flash option which is non fading and unique to Lazer. In the Street JR we have even incorporated the reflective stickers in the overall design for a totally different helmet effect when it gets dark.

SCappuccinolockThe game changer.

A coffee or beer after a long ride is the perfect way to relax and discuss your performance or the events of that day with your buddies. But where do you leave that helmet ?! You can lay it on the table, hang it on your bike or even keep it on your head, but none of those solutions are really ideal. And how do you secure your bike without carrying a lock everywhere you ride ?

You want to store your helmet somewhere and not have to look over your shoulder every five minutes to check if your bike is still there. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to store your helmet and lock your bike safely at the same time ?!

That problem is now solved with the arrival of the Cappuccinolock.

The Cappuccinolock is a revolutionary way to lock your bike using only your helmet straps. Slide the male part of your buckle into the lock on one side and connect the female part of your buckle on the other side of the lock. Twist the numbers to ensure the lock can’t open and relax while you have your coffee.

Aquapad

This is a new innovation from Lazer. This is a padding that is created from a water based gel that creates a very cool feeling when it makes contact with the skin. Additionally this padding drives your sweat to the side of your face so it wouldn’t run into your eyes.

DLA (Dual Layer Aerodynamics)

The Tardiz is the first TT / Triathlon helmet with multiple surface treatments for optimal aerodynamics. The helmet exists out of 2 parts : a front glossy surface and a back matte dimpled surface. The front smooth glossy surface provides the best possible airflow and the least resistance in the area where the helmet first makes contact with the air. Front vents allow the air to flow through the front part of the helmet and around the head to keep the rider cool. This heated air escapes out of the back vents where the air gets trapped on the matte dimpled surface. This low pressure area helps to pull the cooler air over the front smooth glossy surface of the helmet. At speed the helmet will actually help pull itself through the air.

Aquavent with Perfopad

The Aquavent is a ventilation port on the top surface of the helmet. You can use your bottle to deliver water into the Aquavent to help reduce overheating. Special perforated EVA padding and EVS channeling allows the water to filter down and around the head. Optimal water and air flow over the head provides for maximum cooling and riding efficiency.

Coolmax®

Coolmax® fabric is the performance fabric that includes an effective fiber-based moisture management system. The system can move perspiration away from the body, and through the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly, allowing the wearer to feel cooler and more comfortable.

Magic Buckle

The Magic buckle allows riders to quickly close or open the buckle connecting the two straps. With one hand the rider just pushes it open or closes it by bringing the male and female part close together, magnetic forces do the rest. Thanks to this solution the hassle of opening or closing your buckle is now a problem of the past. Even in winter when wearing gloves, riders can easily open and close the buckle without any difficulties. It will also prevent skin from getting in between the lock which is very handy for the under 10 riders.

Adjustable Head basket

The adjustable head basket allows the back part of the Rollsys® system (that grips the back of the head) to move up and down depending on the riders preference. This way the Rollsys® system can be adjusted even more too individual rider needs and can create even more comfort.

RBS

Rigidity Brace System : reinforcements for a superior helmet resistance against multi impacts. This system is comparable with a roll cage in a racecar, in case of a crash this will keep the cracked EPS pieces together so the helmet still offers some form of protection. This system does not guarantee the effectiveness of a helmet after a crash, every helmet needs to be inspected carefully after a crash and in case of dents or cracks it should be replaced.

Lazer keeps you going all year round. Riding doesn’t have to stop when winter season starts. With the Lazer winter accessories you can adjust your helmet to keep you warm whatever the temperature outside is. For certain Lazer models there is a winter liner that fits inside the helmet (replacing the standard padding). This winter liner wraps around the head and covers the ears for a beanie – like feeling. In combination with the Lazer Aeroshell® this will keep you warm and protect you against the elements.

Multicap with 2 Multimounts

The Multicap is an accessory to make it easy to combine your Oasiz helmet with GoPro camera or other accessory. Just slide your GoPro camera onto the Multicap or install one of the two Multimounts and you’re good to go. The Multimounts act like a handlebar, so you can mount everything you would usually mount on the handlebars directly onto the helmet. Use it to install lights or anything else you can think of.

Crazy Nutshell

The Crazy Nutshell is a snap on cover designed to fit over the P’Nut and Nut’Z helmets. Besides protecting children from rain, snow and dirt it also makes it possible to quickly change the look of the helmet. Everybody knows children get bored easily, with the Crazy Nutshell your kid can have a new look on his helmet every day.

AccessoriesInsectmesh

The insectmesh padding replaces the original helmet padding and covers the ventilation holes so insects cannot reach your head. This keeps insects out of the helmets for a stress-free ride.

Helmet Pod

A hard case to protect your helmet when travelling. Each pod can hold one helmet and will protect the helmet from scratching and denting during your travels.

Rollsys® Taillight

This LED light comes standard on some models but is an option for almost all helmets equipped with the Rollsys® system. Simply replace the Rollsys® cap with the updated version and put the LED light in the Rollsys® thumbwheel. The LED light provides increased visibility and therefore added safety.
