UPCOMING MEETINGS
From the Pastor: Heartfelt thanks to all who participated in the Ministries Celebration last Saturday at St. Joseph Church. As we move forward, establishing our family in common liturgical practices will be important. The Liturgy office of the Diocese has given clear instructions as to the way we are to celebrate the Eucharist. Over the coming months, some minor changes will become evident. Over 200 parishioners from our 3 parishes attended the Mass. Another such celebration will be offered for the 150 ministers who were not in attendance. The date chosen is Wednesday, September 25th at 6:30pm at St. Joseph. Ministries instructions will be distributed that evening as well. All ministries are invited to participate. Please mark your calendar now!
Mass Change: The Liturgy office of the diocese has informed us that we are to REMAIN STANDING AFTER THE LAMB OF GOD and until the last person has received
Holy Communion. Since Jesus is alive in us, we do not remain standing until the tabernacle is closed. You may kneel or be seated for personal prayer once the distribution of communion is completed.
Family of Parishes News Update
School Sacramental Information: If your child will be making their 1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion or Confirmation this school year, you can register for these sacraments at any of our 3 parishes regardless of which school your child attends or which home parish you belong to. We want to make the registration process as easy and convenient as possible.
RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults begins with dinner at 6pm at St. Joseph hall, followed by an introduction to the RCIA process of conversion. Anyone who desires more information on becoming Catholic, and any adult who has not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation is welcome. Please call the office and submit your name so that there will be sufficient food for all who attend.
Class Masses: Each month during the school year, the students will gather to celebrate the Eucharist with their classmates. This week as noted in the Mass intentions,
there will be Masses celebrated for our grade 8 students. Parishioners are welcome to join in these celebrations. Mass for the gr. 8 students at Sacred Heart will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1pm at the church. Mass at Mgr. Caron will be celebrated on Wednesday at 1:15pm at the school. Mass with St. Joseph students will be celebrated on Thursday at 1:15pm at the church.
Parish Pastoral Council: The Pastoral Plan for the next 6 months has been completed by the PPC and will soon be published. Our mission statement will be proclaimed at the end of every Mass celebrated throughout the weekend. In this way, we will keep within us the mission that will strengthen our witness as disciples of Jesus.
Building God’s Kingdom - Part 2: Invitations have been sent out for our October 5th event which will be a follow -up to the April 27th day at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home. If you did not receive an invitation, please contact the parish office as soon as possible. Please RSVP by Friday, September 27th.

Keep saving those cancelled stamps and bring them in for the missions! There is a jar for them near the Malden Rd. doors. Remember to cut or tear around the stamp, leaving enough of the envelope to edge the stamp. If it’s right up to the stamp, they can’t be used.

Saturday, October 26th the CWL Fall Regional will be held at Visitation Parish. Cost $10. We are collecting travel size personal care items that will fit in a cosmetic bag. H.U.G.(Helping, Understanding, Giving) Project 2019. Bring to our next meeting on October 8th.
From Carol: I would like to thank everyone for the best
wishes on my retirement. Even though the priests (11 of them) and staff would change, all were a pleasure to work with. Also thanks to those who filled in for me when I was on vacation. God bless all! Carol Durocher
