ESGR (SOS)Statements of Support (SOS). By signing a SOS
for the National Guard and Reserve, employers and political leaders demonstrate their support
for their National Guard and Reserve employees, their commitment to military
service, and their resolve to bolster the defense of the United States. Our Governor Bobby
Jindal signed an SOS on 14 October 2008 in support of the Guard and Reserve. Your
employer can do so as well. Statements of support can be located on the ESGR web site at
http://esgr.org/newforms.asp?p=sos .

ESGR (USERRA) Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment
Rights Act (USERRA) and Ombudsman Services Program. ESGR’s Ombudsman Services Program was
instituted to provide a means by which disputes arising under USERRA can be informally mediated between employers and their Guard and Reserve employees.
Disputes between employers and employees are resolved through the efforts of ESGR’s Volunteer
Ombudsmen representatives. The communications made by parties during informal mediation are protected by the
Administrative Dispute Resolution Act. It is critical service members use the website to have their issues
addressed http://www.esgr.org/forms.asp?p=complaintrequest .
