    Credits!Thank you for giving your time to help out your

    community. You can use Lancashire Time Credits

    to take part in different activities in and around

    Chorley. You should have received at least one

    time credit as a way of saying thank you for giving

    your time.

    Heres how it works:

    Your organisations time credit lead will have a list

    of all the different ways that you can earn time

    credits at that organisation and in the local

    community.

    You can earn time credits by giving your time to

    support community organisations e.g. helping outwith an activity or community group.

    Age UK is a local charity dedicated to helping olderpeople to have valued and fulfilling lives. They

    provide information, support services and social

    activities to help older people to live their lives to

    the full.

    Chorley Lifestyle Centre is delivered in partnership

    with The Brothers of Charity. It is based on

    Gillibrand Street in Chorley and is open every day of

    the week to provide a service to the over 50's.

    How to book:

    Call dial-a-ride on 01257 260488 and state that

    youd like to book the trip to Preston using time

    credits.

    About dial-a-ride:

    The dial-a-ride service is available to everyone inthe Chorley and South Ribble area that doesnt have

    access to a car and cannot use public transport

    easily, either through mobility problems or because

    no suitable service is available.

    You can use the service for visiting friends,

    shopping, social activities or to access educational

    activities and employment.

    All mini-buses are wheelchair accessible and run

    Monday to Friday between 9am-9.30pm. Dial-a-ride run trips to a range of places such as Southport,

    Boundary Mill and Garden Centres. Theyll also do

    trips on request for days out for groups whether

    thats a scout group or a day centre, a nursing home

    or a community group.

    About Chorley Little Theatre:

    Originally opened as Chorleys first electric cinema

    in 1910, Chorley Little Theatre has become athriving arts venue in the centre of the town. Since

    1960 it has been owned and operated by the

    amateur dramatics group CADOS, who have been

    putting on high-quality productions for over 75

    years. CADOS present at least 6 productions per

    season.

    Radio Station Experience - 2 Time Credits

    On weekdays between 12pm and 6pm, memberscan spend 2 hours with a radio presenter where

    they will experience what happens during a live

    radio show and see how a show is put together,

    including the technical processes involved.

    Community Radio Training - 4 Time Credits

    Members who have enjoyed the radio experience

    and are interested in learning more about working

    in radio can attend a 4 hour training session, which

    will offer a more detailed introduction to radio up

    to Level 1.

    About Chorley Panthers Rugby League Club:

    The Chorley Panthers Club provides their members

    with the opportunity to participate in the sport of

    rugby league. The club has 18 teams, male and

    female with age groups from 4 years to Masters

    Rugby (over 35s).

    The club have 5 pitches (one floodlit) a clubhouse,

    gymnasium, 9 changing rooms and a treatmentroom.

    About Clitheroe Castle Museum:

    Great for families. Set in a park with an activity play

    area just outside and access to the (ruined) castle.

    There are activities for children in the museum.

    Clitheroe Castle is of particular interest to anyone

    keen to know more about the history of the localarea, the Normans, castles, and geology. There is a

    caf and shop, disabled access, parking and facilities.

    Non-disabled parking is in town, a short walk up a

    steep hill to the museum and castle.

    About Lancaster Castle:

    Lancaster Castle is great if youre interested in

    crime and punishment. Its law courts are still in

    use. Its a great way to learn something about

    Lancashire history including the 'witch' trials and

    executions, and castles and heraldry. The Castle

    offers an exciting cell 'lock in' experience though

    not suitable for anyone who doesn't like the dark!

    Standard, timed, guided tours only. Open all year

    round.Shop, no caf (but close to city cafes). Visitor toilets

    available and there is limited disabled parking and

    access. The Castle is close to Lancaster train

    station.

    antastic demonstrations very interesting for all sorts

    of reasons; Lancashire history, historic machinery,

    The Judges Lodgings has a lovely historic interior and

    traditional furniture and if youre interested in old

    and modern toys, games and play youd find this

    fascinating. It also houses the Museum of Childhood

    on the top floor. Open from Good Friday to October

    it has a small cafe and shop. There is no disabled

    access or parking but parking can be found in the city

    car parks
