The Lady Irish took the lead during the first quarter but in the second quarter the Lady Stangs were determined to get the lead. Going into halftime the Lady Irish was up by two points. The third quarter was a game changer as the Lady Stangs took the lead. Deshya Reeder Shamrock’s top scorer had been taken out to the game due to injury and for the remainder of the game they played four on four. The Lady Stangs walked away with the victory 25-20. Wheeler JV 2 11 21 25 Shamrock JV 7 13 15 20 Scores for the Lady Stangs includes top shooter, Maria Lira with 10 points, Makalli Marshall with 5 points on the board, Keila Rocha and Cambri Moore both tied with 4 points each and Aneline Gallar- do added 2 points to the score. Scores for the Lady Irish includes top shooter, Deshya Reeder with 7 points, Brianna Devereaux netted 6 points, McKinley Brown with 5 points in the hoop and Alley Batenhorst with 2 points on the board. During a close game of Mus-tangs versus Mustangs, Claude overtook the Wheeler junior va-risty boys in a tough competition of hoops January 11.

Wheeler Mustang, Troy Dun-can, was hot this night putting 13 points on the scoreboard for the Mustangs. Quarter scores remained pretty evenly matched until the third quarter when Claude was able to pull ahead by six points. They were able to remain in the lead during the

fourth quarter when Wheeler was only able to add one point to their score.

Brody Richardson also added eight points for the Mustangs. Others completing the roster in-cluded Richard Castillo, Bryan Tollison, Blayne Richardson, and Joan Lopez.

The Wheeler Lady Stangs hosted the Shamrock Lady Irish on Jan-uary 22. The Lady Irish took the lead during the first quarter but in the second quarter the Lady Stangs were determined to get the lead.
