WORKING TOGETHER TO HELP EACH OTHER
Ballots for our Board of Direc-tors will be in the mail this month. The Election Committee will be stuffing ballot envelopes on August 19th. We are encouraging all mem-bers to exercise their right to vote for the candidate of your choice. Flyers will be posted after Au-gust 19th for a “BALLOT MAIL-ING DATE” . This is the day your Congress Rep will be handing out tickets for all those who mail their ballots. An Ice Cream Social is being planned for those who mail ballots and re-ceive tickets.
It’s that time of year again and we are excited about the new candidates running for a posi-tion on the Board of Directors. The rally picnic was held on July 29th at Willow Metro Park.
Activities were planned for all to have a good time. Music was provided by “Honey Drippers” and shade was available for those who cannot withstand long periods in the sun.
Entertainment was non-stop and
we had a great time dancing and chatting with our Co-op neighbors.
Michigan houses the most mem-bers and we have “two” (2) positions available. We have more representatives on the Board of Directors because our membership numbers are much higher in Michigan than any other of the member states. The weather was perfect for the picnic and the food was abso-lutely wonderful. To our new members, be sure to sign up for next years rally and picnic and have a good time with us.!

CSI Support & Development Services has included Anti-Bullying campaign to it’s policy. The wording will be: “Bullying includes comments or conduct intended to intimidate, humiliate, isolate people in a way that causes physical or emotional distress. This behavior is demoral-izing and counter-productive to our cooperative management system and will not be tolerated in any CSI Support & Development Services’ co-op. Therefore, the following shall apply:
Verbal aggression, including but not limited to, threatening, taunting, harassment, stalking, starting rumors, and hate speech could result in disciplinary action, up to and including eviction.
Physical aggression, including, but not limited to, hitting, kicking, push-ing, choking, and punching shall result in eviction.
As a result, this policy is being added the House Rules for all CSI proper-ties. This action has been taken to avoid some of the problems surfacing in our buildings.
Remember the Golden Rule:
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.
We are looking to increase our numbers at the Board Meetings held each month.
This is a good way to learn about the business end of the Co-op. See your board members in action and join the meetings.
