On this last Sunday of Lent, we hear two stories of God’s love and mercy.

- Prophet Isaiah proclaimed that God ‘opens a way in the sea and a path in

the mighty waters’ to save Israelites from powerful Egyptian army.

- Apostle John recalled that Jesus opens a way of forgiveness for the woman accused of

adultery. Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and from now on do not sin

any more.” (John 8:11)

As we contemplate the mercy of God made present in today’s readings, let us keep in

mind that God never tires of forgiving us.

En este último domingo de Cuaresma, escuchamos dos historias de amor y misericordia de

Dios.

- El Profeta Isaias proclamó que Dios abre un camino en el mar y una senda en las

aguas impetuosas para salvar a los israelitas del gran alcance del ejército egipcio.

- El Apóstol San Juan recordó que Jesús abre un camino de perdón para la mujer

acusada de adulterio. Entonces dijo Jesús: "Tampoco yo te condeno. Vete y de ahora en

adelante no peques más. "(Juan 8:11)

Al contemplar la misericordia de Dios que se hace presente en las lecturas de hoy,

vamos a tener en cuenta que Dios no se cansa de perdonarnos.

We are in need of team of four ladies to volunteer to

help clean the altar every Friday around 9:00am for

two months out of the year. The months we need help

with are January & July. It only takes about one hour

are less to clean. It’s light cleaning such as, filling the

holy water founts, new candles for the main altar and

day chapel & etc. In other words setting up for the

MEET THE DEVOTED PARISH SCHOOL STAFF Noel Novak is the 4th and 5th grade Social Studies and English and Language Arts

Teacher. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary

Education and Communications from the University of St.

Thomas. She has been a teacher for 10 years. Mrs. Novak

grew up in the STM parish and attended St. Thomas More

Parish School. She came back as a teacher after several

years of working in television and being a stay at home

mom. She has been married for 23 years with 3 children,

Erin, Audrey, and Ian, all STM alumni. Her daughter Erin,

STM class of 2009, composed the STM Alma Mater. Her

interests are music, singing, and playing the guitar. She has played in the STM

choir since high school. She loves reading, swimming, watching old movies, and

going to plays. Mrs. Novak states “I love teaching at STM because I get to work

with wonderful people every day, and it is my home.”

Noel Novak es maestra de Estudios Sociales y de Lengua y Literatura de los grados

4to y 5to. Tiene una Licenciatura de Artes en Educación Secundaria y Comunicaciones

de la Universidad de St. Thomas. Ha sido maestra por 10 años. La señora Novak creció

en la parroquia de STM y fue alumna de la Escuela STM. Regresó a ser maestra

después de trabajar en la televisión por varios años y de quedarse en casa con sus hijos

pequeños. Ha estado casada por 23 años y tiene tres hijos, Erin, Audrey, e Ian; todos

exalumnos de STM. Su hija Erin, clase del 2009 de STM, compuso la canción Alma

Mater de esta escuela. Sus intereses son la música, cantar y tocar la guitarra. Ha sido

parte del coro de la Iglesia de STM desde la secundaria. Le encanta leer, nadar, ver

películas viejas y asistir a obras de teatro. La señora Novak dice, “Me encanta enseñar

en STM porque trabajo todos los días con personas maravillosas, y ésta es mi casa.”

Seven Altars of Repose Pilgrimage - Holy Thursday Night

The seven altars of repose pilgrimage will start immediately after the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday March 24. We will gather outside the gym/youth room to pray, arrange

carpooling, and leave as soon as possible. We plan to return for adoration at the final altar at STM by midnight. Our altar schedule will be available soon. We will join the Holy Rosary

pilgrimage group for food and fellowship during our pilgrimage. There will cheese, pepperoni, or sausage pizza ($1/slice) and water bottles ($0.25/bottle). Please rsvp with your pizza order to Mary Anne Jurica at 713-828-2124 (call or text) or mahaljurica@att.net. If you need a ride, can provide a

Siete Altares de Reposo - Peregrinación noche del Jueves Santo

Los siete altares de peregrinación reposo comenzarán inmediatamente después de la misa de la Cena del Señor el Jueves Santo Marzo 24. Nos reuniremos fuera del centro de jóvenes y gimnasio
