KSI Panama SoccerSoccer practices will continue this week. All players are expected to come to practice. Games will begin after Semana Santa.

SUB 18/16: Practice Tuesday and FridaySub 10: Practice Tuesday
The sub 10 team will have a scrimmage Thursday, March 19th, against Magen David at 3:30 at the Panama Pacifico fields.
Saturday, March 21st the sub 10 soccer team will be hosting a jamboree. Balboa Academy, AIP and CCA will be coming to Panama Pacifico for this event. KSI Panama will provide water for each of the teams. Food and drinks will be available for
purchase.

Lunch Announcement
Students that bring their lunch to school need to bring their own cutlery to eat their meals. The school and the chef
will not provide or loan forks and knives to students.
Wednesday, March 18: Change to 12:15 Release
On Wednesday, March 18, 2015 all KSI Panama teachers will be participating in the Panama Association of International Schools (PAIS) conference as part of the professional development that KSI provides for its faculty.
Due to this opportunity, on March 18 students will be released at 12:15 p.m. Regular bus service will be
provided at 12:15 p.m. and parents should plan to pick up their children at 12:15 p.m. as well. The school will close
promptly at 12:45 p.m. so teachers can attend their professional development session in the afternoon.

Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for volunteers to read and record text for students who have difficulty
reading. Recorded text is helpful for students who have reading difficulties to following along with the text and to better comprehend. If you are willing to donate
some time, we would love to have you help us with this project. The recording can be
done at home!

Galapagos Trip
Galapagos Trip, Spring 2016
Who: Current Grade 8, 9, 10 and 11 students. **What: 12 day ecology field research trip Where: Galapagos Islands, EquatorWhen: March 13th - 24th, 2016 (Partially over Semana Santa)Why: For fun ☺ Also to gain valuable biology field experience, community service hours and conservation understanding in one of the most unique ecological landscapes on the planet.Cost: Approximately $5000 - Cost includes everything but personal expenses (flight, food, accommodations, excursions, equipment etc.).
Benefits1) Genuine Ecology field work – monitor giant Galapagos tortoises2) Observe animals found nowhere else on earth3) Cultural opportunity4) Exploration, snorkeling*, hiking and wildlife5) Cost includes everything but personal expenses.6) 25 service hours for graduation7) Grade 11 (Yr1 DP) could possibly complete their Group 4 DP Science project
INFORMATION MEETING: March 23rd, 2015 at 8am in the libraryAny parents of students interested can attend and get more details. We will also talk about fundraising ideas!
** To be allowed to go, students must be hard working, well behaved representatives of KSI - Panama. Teachers have the right to request a student not be allowed to participate. Students and parents must sign a code of conduct for students to be allowed to go on the trip. If a student violates this code of conduct while on the trip they may be sent home at the expense of the parent.
** Students must be able to swim
