Lauren Ahn went on a short-term mission trip with McLean Bible Church to the Dominican Republic in 2010 with SCORE International. During the week, her group made a trip to Los Montones, a sugar cane farming village. While there, she took a photo of two young Dominican girls that turned out to be an award-winning photograph for “Photographer’s Forum” magazine.
