Grand Knight’s Report Ed Reyes Grand Knight

Brother Knights:

A couple of weeks ago I attended Grand Knights

training. The subject that was driven the most was

membership, mainly, recruiting new members. I

also found out that every year we lose about 50%

of new members. So it is great that we are

recruiting, but it doesn't do a lot of good if we keep

losing them. I believe that last year we as Knights

had a record number of new members. Let’s keep it

up.

Now we need to do something about keeping our

members. I have been a Knight for over twenty

years. But I have only been active for about three

years. For as long as I have been active and a

member of this council I have only met about 15%

of our members. I believe that we as group need to

try to get more members involved. It is everyone’s

job to reach out to the members that are not

active, to get them involved, especially, our new

members. There are a few of us that show up for

almost every event, which is great, but it would be

a lot better if we had more participants.

Since growing the order is our number one goal, it

is every member’s responsibility to recruit. We

all need to stay active in all aspects of our council.

Our goal for the year is to recruit 18 new

members. So let’s all get to work.

Vivat Jesus,

Ed Reyes
