Thank you for supporting the program and keep using SCRIP, it really does make a difference. If you are not a current SCRIP participant and would like to have part of your tuition or lunch paid just for getting groceries and gas (which we all use), sign up for SCRIP and get in the habit of ordering every week. Or perhaps you need to place a last minute order, there is the option of placing orders online! If you want to get signed up or have any questions, call Kathy at 439-2273. Just in Time For Graduation: Will you need goodies for a graduation party? Casey’s Bakery from Sioux Center is a member of SCRIP. Scrabble Challenge

In the spring of the year, the 8th graders divert their attention to Scrabble! Students play each other in a tournament keeping track of wins and losses. Vocabulary and spelling skills are sharpened and challenged, and math is used to figure out the score. Learning how to win and lose and being good sports also come into play. The tallies can swing drastically with words like oxen, ajar, gaze, or quiz. By the end of the tournament, the students usually feel confident in their abilities, until the grandparents come to play. True to grandparent's nature, they try to help the students along, but most of the time the grandparents win. The students say thank you to all grandparents and friends for sharing their time at HCS.

NICSTO Application for 2018-2019

NICSTO stands for NW Iowa Christian School Tuition Organization. Any family who will have students at HCS next school year who meet the income guidelines (located on the back of the application) can apply for assistance in tuition through this program. Applications can be found at hullchristian.com (under Forms & Documents, click NICSTO on the left hand side) or by contacting the school office. Applications are due Thursday, July 12, 2018.

Solo/Ensemble

Students in 7th & 8th grade had the opportunity to participate in the Christian School Interscholastic Solo/Ensemble at Sioux Center Christian School through playing an instrument or singing and did a wonderful job. Hull Christian had participants in strings, brass, woodwind, percussion, and vocal! Thank you for using your talents!

Thank You from ACTS The ACTS Committee would like to thank everyone who came to the 5th Annual Fun Run/Walk on April 28. We were blessed with a great day and turnout! We truly appreciate your support!

April Chapel The 8th graders led our April Chapel with the theme: Reformation Today. They presented scenarios to the students to help identify true or false beliefs of the church and gave a choral reading of the Apostles Creed. Pictured below: Brayden Krommendyk sharing.

Thank You from the HCS Library

The library is excited to have the opportunity to choose over $250 worth of books through Usborne to add to our library. This was made possible through the generosity of those who bought books through Usborne at the Vendor Fair or online. Thank you for helping us grow our library!

Jog/Walk-A-Thon

We had another successful jog/walk-a-thon. Thank you to the volunteers, those who contributed to our students with their financial donations, and to Western who allowed us to use their gym since the winter weather stuck with us. Pictured on the right: 8th graders Jake and Michel mark laps on the runners’ stickers.
