DRESS CODE FOR DANCE CLASSESAll Classes: Hair must be secured away from face. Bun is required for Ballet 1 and higher.

Ballet: Plain Leotard of Choice—Pink or Neutral Tights—Pink Ballet Shoes. Wraps and warm-ups must be okayed by the teacher.

Contemporary: Black Leotard of Choice - Leggings or Pink/Neutral Tights with Fitted Dance Shorts. Tights should be footless or convertible. Canvas half soles optional for class, required for Showcase.

Irish: White T-Shirt – Plain Black Shorts Littles & Irish 1: Irish soft shoes optional for class, required for Showcase.

Tap: Black Leotard of Choice—Black Leggings or Black Tights with Fitted Dance Shorts. Shoes should be black. Matte finish is preferred.

DRESS CODE FOR MAY SHOWCASEFamilies who participate in our May Leaps & Bounds Showcase will be required to purchase base attire pieces such as tights, leotards, and shoes. We may require these items be bought from specific outlets in order to ensure a uniform look on stage. Additional information and ordering options will be shared in class during March and April.

LEAPS & BOUNDS ANNUAL DANCE SHOWCASEShowcase is an optional activity that includes a $25 participation fee and additional rehearsal time. Students must be available for both performances —No Exceptions.

HOMESCHOOL LESSONSThe Schauer Arts Center is a registered lesson provider for several of the school districts that support our homeschool families. We offer private and small group lessons on Wednesdays between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at the request of families. Class options include acting, musical theater, guitar, ukulele, voice, piano, and speech (public speaking) coaching.

The Full Year (FY) prices that were listed in our Fall 2019 brochure reflected a 10% discount of the total 2019–2020 tuition for each class. Families receive Full Year Discounts only when they register for the full year of classes during their initial fall registration. Tuition adjustments cannot be made mid-year to retroactively use the Full Year Discount. If a teacher recommends a student move up mid-year, the Education Coordinator will adjust their tuition appropriately.

unicycle, tight rope) while students work as a team to develop a unique group identity. Instruction is tailored to meet each student where they are so participants can learn to move with confidence and expand their creativity in a safe and supportive environment.Session 2: March 5 – April 23 (no class Mar. 26) Special performance for family & friends April 23Circus arts and story-telling are extensions of one another. This session weaves in tales of circus lore and lingo. Students will take a story from the pages of a book and learn how to tell it “in the ring”. Grades 1-12Set in a “land of ice,” this classic tale will warm your heart in its illustrative retelling by a group of fun-loving, imaginative hobgoblins. As they depict the journey of a young girl and her quest to find her best friend, you may just find yourself believing in malevolent mirrors, yetis, talking reindeer, and snow chickens! Blizzards can come at any moment, so strap on some snowshoes and get ready to discover what it takes to overcome chilling obstacles and melt down the Snow Queen’s icy walls.

The rocks created during this workshop will be used in a community-wide scavenger hunt during the summer months. Classes not meeting the minimum may be cancelled. Maximum levels are determined by classroom space or instructor/student ratios. Payment Plans may be arranged for any class over $100.
