product details

When treating wounds, especially chronic wounds, moist wound treatment using special wound dressings is generally the first choice. In some cases however, the treater will opt for dry wound treatment using traditional wound dressings, such as gauze and non-woven compresses. When opting for a traditional product to dress the wound the dressing must be changed daily, sometimes even more often. This ensures the compress does not stick to the wound.Traditional compresses can also be used for cleaning wounds. For quick cleaning, the compress is moistened with a wound rinser (NaCl, for example) at room temperature and the wound is dabbed clean. In the case of stubborn wound tissue, the moist compress is applied to the wound for 15 minutes in order to soften it first.

product details

Klinifix tubular bandage is elasticated viscose bandage that can be used for dressing fixation, for light compression or to cover the skin of any part of the body. The product can also be used under the cast.

Due to its manufacturing techniques the bandage allows air to circulate between the threads, thus over the skin, helping to avoid maceration. Being slightly elastic allows complete freedom of movements. The bandage is 2-way elastic.

For easy recognition of the size, each bandage is identified by a colour line in the longitudinal way of the bandage.

features & benefits• 2-way elastic knitting improves patient comfort and ensures dressing

to stay in place• Light compression• Increased breathability. Special manufacturing technique allows air

to circulate between the threads.• Each roll has color line to indicate the size• Cost effective solution

product details

Kliniderm silicone wound contact layer has soft porous structure that allows exudate to pass into an outer absorbent dressing. Due to close to zero absorbency silicone wound contact layer is always used together with secondary dressing such as Klinion Exsupad or Kliniderm superabsorbent dressing for heavily exuding wounds. The porous structure minimizes horisontal leakage of wound exudate to the wound edges and by that minimizes the risk of maseration of the wound edges. Wound exudate is directly vertically absorbed to secondary dressing.

Silicone wound contact layer enables change of secondary dressing without disturbing wound healing and causing pain. One side silicone layer makes the dressing easy to use and prevents outer dressing to stick to wound contact layer on dressing changes. High transparency makes it possible to inspect the wound without removing the wound contact layer.

Kliniderm silicone wound contact layer can stay in place up to 7 days. Advanced silicone adhesive does not adhere to wet tissue minimizing the pain and trauma on removal.

Kliniderm silicone wound contact layer is indicated for a wide range of exuding wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcer, pressure ulcer, leg venous and arterial ulcer, first and second degree burns, surgical wounds and traumatic wounds. It can also be used as wound protective layer in negative pressure therapy.

features & benefits• Undisturbed healing and minimized pain on absorbent dressing changes• Minimized maceration of wound edges• High transparency enables inspection of wound without removing the contact layer• One side silicone ensures easy handling and prevents absorbent dressing to stick to wound contact layer• Cost effective solution

kliniderm® fiber cmcKliniderm Fiber CMC is a sterile nonwoven wound dressing. It is highly absorbent, conformable and wet integral. As wound exudates are absorbed, the Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) forms a soft gel which assists to maintain a moistenvironment at the wound area to support the wound healing process and aid in the removal of necrotic tissue from the wound, without damaging newly formed tissue. The CMC fiber is converted from cellulose. With the right temperature, contacting time, concentration and pressure, the cellulose will be converted into CMC fiber in an acid/alkaline solution. Prolonged process time will lead to clear water like gelling but compromised wet strength.

Kliniderm Fiber CMC is intended to be used for moderate to heavily exuding partial andfull-thickness chronic wounds and acute wounds. It can be used for wounds including:• Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (stage II-IV) and diabetic ulcers.• Surgical wounds (e.g. post-operative, wounds left to heal by secondary intent and donor sites)• Partial thickness burns• Traumatic wounds (e.g., abrasions and lacerations)• Exudates absorption in oncology wounds (eg. Fungating cutaneous tumors, cutaneous metastases and Kaposi’s sarcomas).• Cavity wounds and superficial burnsKliniderm Fiber CMC can also be used together with compression therapy. The wound dressings can be left in place for up to 7 days where clinically indicated exceptfor burns where it can be left in place for up to 14 days.

features & benefits• Improves wound healing by ensuring moist wound healing environment• Minimize maceration by absorbing wound exudate and holding it in the gel structure• Highly breathable outside the wound area• Reduced lateral wicking• Cost effective solution

Intended use This product is intended to be used for moderate to heavily exuding partial andfull-thickness chronic wounds and acute wounds.

kliniderm® superabsorbent dressingsKlinion woundcare range includes good selection of traditional absorbentdressings both with cotton and pulp inner core. In some occasions the absorbency of the traditional products is not enough and more absorbing products are needed for heavily exuding wounds.

Kliniderm superabsorbent wound dressings have very good absorbency of wound exudate. Furthermore they also absorb blood. This significantly reduces the risk of maseration compared to traditional absorbent dressings. The dressing consists of4 layers. 2 inner hydrophilic inner layers ensure that the dressings are comfortable to use for the patient. The surface of the dressing stays dry as the exudate isabsorbed by the superabsorbent polymers. The outer hydrophobic layer protects the superabsorbent inner core and also minimizes the risk of leakage.

Dressing can also be used under compression.Sterile products are individually packed.

features & benefits• Undisturbed healing and minimized maceration due to high absorbency• Ability to “lock” wound exudate inside SAP polymers. Outside pressure does not

release wound exudate back to wound. • Hydrophobic outer layer minimize wound exudate strike through and protects

from contamination coming outside• Convenient for patient. Dressing feels soft and dry.• Can be used together with compression therapy• Cost effective solution
