5.5

Product WarrantyWooden Cabinets Doors

The following terms and conditions must be met in order to applythe guarantee. If these conditions are not respected, the guaranteewill no longer be valid.

Temperature & humidity :Wood is a natural product which is sensitive to relative temperature and humidity variations. Appropriate measures must be taken in order toinsure that the products are stored or installed in an environment withcontrolled temperature and humidity. Temperature settings between 64°F and 75°F and humidity levels between 45% and 55% are acceptable in respect of this guarantee.

Warping of wooden doors :Warping may occur in certain conditions in which the room temperatureand humidity are not controlled at all times. The client must notifyKitchen Rescue within 7 days after delivery in order to apply the guarantee for this defect. If the door is warped less than 1/4 inch, it is considered acceptable in the eyes of the industry. If warping should occur due tovariations in temperature and humidity, the door may expand andcontract. However, during the normal cycle of the four seasons, the door will find its normal shape.

In order to apply the guarantee against warping to doors superior to 40 inches in height, they must be assembled with a center rail. All doorsover 60 inches in height will not be guaranteed against warping.

All doors larger than 26 inches must be assembled with a center verticalrail for them to be covered by this guarantee.

Joint Assembly :When wood is exposed to variations of temperature and relative humidity, joint assembly may become apparent, especially those withopaque finish or a base coat. In a few cases the finish, may appearcracked. Doco products are not guaranteed if these defects are caused bynatural affects in temperature and humidity variations.

Mitered assembly joints could be apparent. If so, a gap of 0.010 inch is tolerable, is considered normal in this industry and not covered by this guarantee.

Wood products :Kitchen Rescue wishes to point out certain characteristics about wooden doors which could be important. The client must advise the consumer, usually a well advised client is a satisfied client. As you know Mother Nature works in mysterious ways. Like humans, there are not two trees alike, and the wood grain is quite individual.

Wood is affected by the climactic change in temperatures and environmental conditions. Wood is a product that can not be compared to synthetic products and that there may be variations inthe grain of the finished product and that these variations can not beguaranteed to be uniform.

There might be variations in the styles and rails of the door, however,Kitchen Rescue promises to bring forth a product that is acceptable andmatch the components to their utmost ability with the products theyhave on hand.

6.1

Guarantee wooden cabinet doors

Kitchen Rescue manufactures all products from select woods and first quality material and are exempt of any defects that could render the finished product improper to its destined use.

Kitchen Rescue guarantees its products for a period of one (1) year.

This guarantee does not cover damage caused by changes in relative humidity, temperature, water infiltration, improper installation, abusive treatment of the product, natural disaster,

deterioration resulting from natural causes,

If in any case a door must be repaired or replaced, andif this product is no longer available due to its discontinuation,

Kitchen Rescue will replace it with a similar product of the same quality, and therefore will not be responsible.

6.2

Product WarrantyWood Product Expectat ions

Wood VariationsThe beauty and uniqueness of natural wood brings with it an intrinsic quality in grain and color variation. Other naturally occurring features of real wood aresmall knots and mineral streaks which will enhance the authenticity of the final product.

Color ChangesAll wood darkens with age. Protectors have been added to the finishes of the doors but this does not prevent the wood from darkening. However, these changesbecome more evident on cabinetry with light wood stains. These variations will occur from door to door and even between the components of the same door.Door color will also change with various types of room lighting, or with the reflection of colored surfaces such as countertops, walls and floors. Secondary orders (additional orders to the original), including orders for replacement parts may not arrive the exact same color but will blend in time. For secondary orders, a door sample may be required in order to achieve a reasonable color match.

Expansion & ContractionAll wood doors will expand and contract with changes in levels of humidity. Although every precaution is taken to reduce the noticeable effects of expansion andcontraction during the manufacturing process, variations in humidity levels may cause visible changes to the doors. With low humidity, the center panels of wooddoors may contract and expose areas of unfinished wood. With high humidity, doors may show minor gaps in the joints and frames may bow slightly. These conditions are normal and temporary, they will disappear when the humidity returns to a proper level. These changes can be virtually eliminated if the humidity level is controlled and kept constant.
