    The National Trust for Scotland property at Kintail boasts the

    famous mountains known as the Five Sisters, the stunning Falls

    of Glomach, access into the remote area of Glen Affric, as well

    as dramatic coastline … all on its doorstep!

    This emotive wild landscape of magnificent West Highland

    scenery incorporates two National Scenic Areas as well as

    Special Areas of Conservation and a Site of Special Scientific

    Interest. A rich historic environment includes two Scheduled

    Ancient Monuments – a prehistoric standing stone and the site of

    the 1719 Battle of Glenshiel.

    Taster DaysThe day involves kayaking instruction to master some basic skillsbefore exploring some coastal islands to view local wildlife.

    Dates: April–October 2015Duration: 6 hoursCost: £50 per adult; £25 per child (10 yrs and over)Family discounts are available.

    Beginner Sea Kayaking CourseAimed at first-time paddlers or those with limited experience, thiscourse provides an opportunity to learn skills and techniques toenable you to join a group and start exploring some of Scotland’sdramatic coastline. As well as learning key skills, you will alsohave the opportunity to enjoy some classic sea kayaking day tripsaround Kintail, Plockton and the Isle of Skye.

    Dates:  3-day course: 20–22 April 2015, 27–29 July 2015Cost: £225 (Cost includes self-catering accommodation)

    Dates: 5-day course: 20–24 April 2015, 27–31 July 2015Cost:  £375 (Cost includes self-catering accommodation) 

    Intermediate Sea Kayaking CourseAimed at paddlers who have some experience but want tobroaden their skills and techniques to cope with morechallenging conditions. This course will involve a one- or two-

    night camping expedition should conditions be suitable.

    Introduction to Sea Kayaking Touring:2- or 3-day tripsThese 2- or 3-day trips will leave from Plockton or Kintail (dependingon the weather) and give participants an opportunity to experiencesome of the last wilderness areas on Scotland’s west coast. Theknowledge and expertise of our rangers ensure that your trip will bea memorable one.

    Inner Sound Expedition (Kintail to Torridon):6-day tripThis trip explores the Inner Sound between the Isle of Skye and theScottish mainland. The trip will start at Kintail and finish in LochTorridon. There is no better way to explore this amazing coastlinewith its spectacular backdrops such as the Cuillin mountains, theFive Sisters ridge and the peaks of Torridon to the north.

    Knoydart – Sea to Summit Walking and KayakingExpedition: 6-day tripBringing sea kayaking and Munro bagging together, this trip allowsparticipants the freedom to explore the remote peninsula of Knoydartwhile bagging a few Munros, and of course to savour the hospitalityof Britain’s remotest pub.

    Hebridean Islands Expedition: 7-day trip This year our Hebridean sea kayaking trip will explore the islandsof North and South Uist, with the possibility of heading south tothe Barra Head Islands should the weather allow. This trip offers a

    unique experience to explore miles of golden Hebridean beachesand some of the most spectacular sea cliffs and caves in Britain.Intermediate level experience required for this trip.

    Dates:  21–27 June 2015Cost:  Prices from £500

    Small Isles Expedition – Canna: 7-day tripCanna and its larger neighbour Rum offer an amazing kayakingvenue. Paddle through some spectacular sea caves, while exploringthe rich waters and coastline around the islands in the hope ofspotting basking sharks and minke whales, which frequent the areaduring the summer months.

    All instruction, paddling equipment and clothing, pluscamping equipment for expeditions. Where specified, self-catering accommodation will be provided at our centre.

    Sea Kayaking Courses

    Ranger Guided Mountain Walks We offer guided walks over any of the 10 Munros (mountains over3,000ft) on our own property as well as any other local peak in theGlen Shiel and Loch Cluanie area.

    Five Sisters of KintailExperience stunning mountain scenery on one of the finest hillwalksin the West Highlands, taking in 3 Munros.

    As well as being arranged on demand, this walk is scheduled for thefollowing dates in 2015:Saturday 16 May, Saturday 13 June, Friday 10 July, Saturday 25 July,Saturday 15 August, Saturday 12 September

    Cost: £40 per person (or total fee of £100 if less than 3 people)

    The South Glen Shiel RidgeTake in 7 Munros on this fantastic local ridge walk. This is a verystrenuous one-day walk only suitable for those with good hill fitness.We can also break this route up into two separate days for those whodon’t want to do it all in one day.

    As well as being arranged on demand, this walk is scheduled for thefollowing dates in 2015:

    Saturday 23 May, Saturday 20 June, Friday 31 July

    Cost: £40 per person (or total fee of £100 if less than 3 people)

    Glen Affric to Kintail Guided WalkWe will provide transport from Kintail to Glen Affric and then walkone of Scotland’s finest cross country routes back to Kintail over twodays. We will overnight at the remote Glen Affric Youth Hostel andaccommodation will be available at Kintail before and after the walk.

    As well as being arranged on demand, this walk is scheduled for thefollowing dates in 2015:Saturday/Sunday 9–10 May, Saturday/Sunday 6–7 JuneCost: £95 per person (plus accommodation fees)

    Falls of GlomachThe falls are amongst the highest and most spectacular in Scotlandand a ‘must-see’ on a visit to Kintail.

    As well as being arranged on demand, this walk is scheduled for thefollowing dates in 2015:Friday 7 August, Thursday 13 August
