As another school year enters the final weeks I wanted to share with you

some upcoming dates for postseason competitions and award events:

Sent 5 players to the Divisional Championships

Taylor Eggert pitched her 3rd perfect game Boys Tennis players (DeSilva, Cai, Tiernan, Zdrojeski, Bergaglio)

in regular season finale win over Port Jeff competed in the Divisional Champsionships

Boys Lacrosse won 17-1 in team’s season finale Matt Browne signed to play lacrosse at Wilmington U.

THIS IS THE LAST OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR CHILD TO GET THEIR PHYSICAL IN

DISTRICT FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR.

IN LIEU OF THESE FREE PHYSICALS, YOU MAY GET A PHYSICAL FROM YOUR OWN

DOCTOR (AT PARENTS’ EXPENSE). ALL PRIVATE DOCTORS WHO ADMINISTER A

PHYSICAL ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE KINGS PARK CENTRAL SCHOOL

DISTRICT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM. THIS IS THE ONLY FORM THAT WILL

BE ACCEPTED FOR MEDICAL CLEARANCE AND YOU MUST PROVIDE THE

SCHOOL NURSE WITH A COPY PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ATHLETIC SEASON.

TO PARTICIPATE IN “TRYOUTS” IT IS MANDATORY THAT YOU HAVE HAD YOUR

PHYSICAL EITHER AT THE MAY OR AUGUST DISTRICT “FREE PHYSICAL” OR BY

YOUR PERSONAL PHYSICIAN (AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE).

Students register based on grade they will enter for the upcoming school year.

To register for a camp, please log onto www.kpcsd.org. Once on the school website, click on athletics

(under departments) and once you get to the athletic page click on 2018 KPABA Summer Camps. All

of the details regarding each camp are on the site.

Please download the form for the specific camp you would like your child to attend. Each camp must

be mailed in separately and returned to the athletic office to the attention of that specific camp.

Ex: Soccer Camp: Check for $150 made out to KPABA and registration form completed

and mailed to:

Introduction to HS/MS Athletics Presentations

On Tuesday, May 15th

the Athletic Department will be hosting two presentations for parents and students

who are interested in playing an interscholastic sport next school year. The presentations will take place

in the Kings Park High School Auditorium and will cover all topics related to playing a sport for the Kings

Park School District. The first presentation will be an “Introduction to Middle School Athletics” for parents

and students currently in 6th

or 7th

grade starting at 6:00 PM. The second presentation will be an

“Introduction to High School Athletics” for parents and students currently in 8th grade starting at 7:00

PM. Please contact the athletic office if you have any questions.

KPHS College Bound Athlete Ceremony

On Thursday, June 7th

the Athletic Department will be hosting a College Bound Student-Athlete Ceremony

to recognize all of our senior athletes who have committed to play a sport next year at the college level. The

ceremony will take place at 9:15am at Kings Park High School.
