no forests were cut down to make this wood litter!All of the wood in our litter is leftover lumber with FSC Mix certification. We recycle these raw materials, which in turn helps save thousands of trees. Our wood also originates from sustainably managed forests, meaning that the biological diversity in the forests is protected and maintained.

We recycle various types of conifer woods (pine, spruce, fir, etc.), with added vegetal fibres (such as corn, not meant for consumption), and natural clumping agents. By choosing this litter, you choose to recycle and lend a helping hand to nature.

Catit Go NaturalTM Wood Clumping Cat Litter has a small ecological paw print. The production is a ‘cold’ process, meaning we don’t waste any energy on creating heat, don’t use any steam or produce any CO2 emissions, and there aren’t any fumes going into the atmosphere. Production is completely solar-powered, and all waste material generated (collected dust from sieving) is filtered and put back into the production cycle. The new facility will receive ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications by the end of 2020.

Catit Go NaturalTM Wood Clumping Cat Litter consists of granules rather than whole pellets. After pelletization, the litter is broken down into smaller granules of different sizes and shapes, which have a larger surface area than pellets.

Dust can contain various allergens that can cause allergic reactions, therefore a healthy, dust-free environment is very important for people and cats alike. This is why our litter is sieved twice during production, and save for minor dust from handling and transportation, this litter is dust-free.

The litter granules make for an airy bedding, so even as your cat is digging around, the smallest granule particles aren’t kicked up, but will gradually sink down to the bottom of the litter box. The lack of airborne dust makes for a cleaner, healthier environment.

Since our wood-based litter is very lightweight yet super-absorbent, we save a ton on CO2 during transportation and warehousing. A liter of litter only weighs approximately 500 grams.
