    Kill Bill Representation

On this task we were put into groups making a representation of a famous Kill Billshot. The shot consists of the bride on the floor with blood all over her face with sweat on herface and in her hair. This shows her worrying and also anxious wait. Then the well-known

Bill walks in and has all power within his hands. This is visible by the use of a prop, which is agun. This is also obvious by the levels they are situated in. the bride is on the floor scared andBill is standing tall looking down on her. This is a good shot to represent genders within thefilm.

We created this image by firstly the use of make-up. The first layer was the base layerof make-up, which consisted foundation, concealer, powder. This was to represent the blankcanvas effect. Also the use of foundation and concealer was to present the face as being pale. This will allow the other colours on the face to really stand out if the rest of the face is pale. Thiswill show weakness due to the pale face symbolising illness. This will suggest she isnt strongand brave in actual fact shes weak and will allow these problems happen to her.

To create the bruises on her face we used dark eye shadow which gave theimpression of the black eyes and the beating that she would have gone through. Also, the darkeye shadow was used also in the use of the normal make up. This allows the viewer to feel forthe character because of the beating she has obviously persevered through. We are shown theveil she wears to show this specific day is her wedding day therefore, this means that she hasbeen kidnapped on her special day. This will create vast emotions with in the viewers as somewill feel sad and upset for the young lady. Some may feel angry that she has been taken andthen some may not even show any emotion in any way.

We then started to put the blood on by the use of fake blood purchased from a fancydress shop. This allowed the blood to look real and fresh. By fresh we mean that it looks likethe cuts have only just been made not cuts that are a couple of days old. The blood show that

its not just punches creating bruises there is a lot more punishment. We can immediately link itback to Bill, which now suggests that the males have the power and the dominance in this shot. This is evident because of the reaction on her face looking petrified looking up. This means Billis looking down on her showing shes not worth much. The blood will represent danger and hurtlike the bruises will show bullying and the dark side of Bill.

We then used water in a spray to represent the sweat on the bride. We sprayed thesweat on her face in her hair and also on her veil. This allows the viewer to see that she isscared of Bill as she is sweating. The sweat is evident by the use of lighting, the glint on herface shows how much shes sweating and the anxious wait she has to partake. The sweat inher hair makes it looks greasy, which makes it look like shes been there for a long period oftime. If this is the case then the sweat in her face would have been maintained over a period of

time. The representation of gender in this shot using the sweat, shows that the female is scaredand the male has created an atmosphere of horror within the room allowing the viewers torealise the tension and the atmosphere change.
