History of Two wheelers Industries:

Motorcycles came into existanance around the 1950s. Indian government ordered 800 motorcycles for Indian Military in 1954.

In 1955 Bullet was one of the initial hits of the Indian two-wheeler industry.

After some time a new entrained came that was Rajdoot. Which had a close competition with Enfield Bullet.

Ind-Suzukia bike was launched as a Relatively lighter Bike.

In scooters, Bajaj Chetak was the first scooter launched which was hugely responsible for adding momentum to the transport system of the country.

Today newer models of two- wheelers are entering the market everyday.

The names like Chetak, Rajdoot and Bullet will always find a mention in the history of two-wheelers in the country.

There is no universal blue print for a successful strategy and even in individual Industry , there is no “ Generic Strategy” that can guarantee superior profitably or success however, each market is different in terms of what motivates customers and how competition work. Since every firm comprises a unique set of resources and capabilities, even when an industry is subject to common success factor (e.g. Low costs) , firms will select unique strategic to link their resources and capabilities to industries success factors.
