ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kelli Fox, The Astrologer
Kelli was first drawn to astrology during her childhood in Sydney, Australia. As early as eight years of age, she began recording birth dates and sun signs for anyone willing to share. Kelli's formal astrological studies began at the College of Humanistic Astrology. This led to her professional accreditation with multiple organizations including: CA NCGR IV (National Council for Geocosmic Research), PMAFA (Professional Member of the American Federation of Astrologers), ISAR C.A.P. (International Society for Astrological Research), and the FAA (Federation of Australian Astrologers).
In 1995 Kelli created astrology.com where she continued to live her passion until 2003. After taking a couple of years out to be with her family, she began work on new content and services including mobile phone apps, video horoscopes and forecasts.
Kelli was the first member of the Founders' Circle of Kepler College: http://www.kepler.edu/ and is an emeritus member of its Board of Trustees. (Kepler College is the first college in the western hemisphere authorized to issue BA, AA and MA degrees in Astrological Studies.)
Kelli views astrology as a universal language through which the unique elements that make each of us who we are can be discussed, understood and developed. For Kelli, astrology is certainly not just about entertainment, but that doesn't mean it has to be dry and academic either. She sees her role as
bringing this ancient science to our modern day life through current technologies -‐ from web sites to mobile phones and video screens.
In 2004, with Neptune on her descendant and transiting Pluto conjunct her natal Moon, she had a near death medical experience that left her in a coma and on life support for two weeks. Kelli was fortunate to survive and return from the other side. With new found life, her passion to share the knowledge of astrology with people everywhere was re-‐ignited.
Kelli is a prolific content creator having brought forth over two million words for The Astrologer -‐ the equivalent of 20 novels. In addition she records over 400 astrological video segments every month, from daily horoscopes and planetary updates, to annual forecasts and compatibility reports.

Every year they produce paintings for the highly anticipated Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell Fantasy Calendar published by Workman, now in its 30th year. FORWARD: AN INTRODUCTION TO ASTROLOGY
Although lots of people talk about astrology as if it's something of doubtful or supernatural origin, like magic or ghosts -‐-‐ 'Do you believe in astrology?'-‐-‐ it's not a belief system, and it's definitely not a supernatural phenomenon. It's actually a very ancient and complex system based on careful observation of the heavens and related circumstances here on earth.
To understand astrology, you must know that it doesn't work like a psychic, who predicts your future. Astrology is an invaluable guide that helps in making life choices. It points out tendencies and truths about human nature, not to mention the world at large. It gives you the tools you need to make better, more intelligent and informed decisions in your life. For example, if you have a lot of planets in Aries in your birth chart, you'll know that you tend to be rather headstrong and impulsive, jumping into things without much forethought! With astrology's help, you can learn to slow down a bit and look before you leap.
Anyone can gain greater personal understanding from astrology, even without knowing exactly how it works. After all, why the movement of the stars is related to life on Earth may be an intriguing and mysterious question, but we know that it is, indeed, related -‐-‐ astrology affects our lives just as the moon pulls on the tides and just as the light of the sun enables all life on Earth to grow. As the sun enriches the Earth, astrology can enrich your life. The more you learn, the better you'll be able to apply its wisdom to your own life.

January
January 1st may be the beginning of the New Year, but things really get going for you on the 2nd. The Moon enters your sign later in the day and makes a lovely connection with expansive Jupiter. You're feeling optimistic, as if anything is possible.
The Full Moon on the 9th illuminates your desire to learn something new. Interestingly, what you learn may cause you to question a long-‐held belief. Friday the 13th should be a lucky day. Venus, your ruling planet, connects sweetly to both constructive Saturn and intuitive Neptune. You may finally figure out a problem at work, the rewards for which are nothing less than stellar. You radiate poise and grace, and people seem magically drawn to you.
On the 14th, Venus moves into Pisces and your attention turns to groups with whom you’re involved. Through the first week of February, these communities will likely play a more prominent role in your life. An old emotional wound may surface on the 16th; be kind and compassionate with yourself.
The New Moon on the 23rd brings you an opportunity to show the world who you are. Taking on a new responsibility can help foster your reputation. The day isn’t necessarily stress-‐free, though. Assertive Mars is turning retrograde in your 5th House of Self-‐Expression and there may be some tension with your romantic partner or children.
The last few days of the month you're back in your element, with the Moon in your sign. Treat yourself to a nice meal or some other pleasurable experience.
February
During the first few days of February-‐-‐as Neptune moves into Pisces-‐-‐don’t be surprised if you feel disappointed by your friends. It may just be that you want something from your alliances that they are not capable of providing.
If there has been tension between your career and home obligations, these may come to light on the Full Moon on the 7th. Also, on this day, Saturn goes retrograde in your 6th House of Health. Try to minimize stress so that it doesn’t manifest physically.
On the 8th, with your planetary ruler Venus moving into your 12th House of Solitude, finding a quiet space away from others can seem really attractive. On the 9th, Venus unites with eclectic Uranus. It might be the cheesiest pickup line in history, but you can find out a lot about how the two of you match up. Do you get along like two peas in a pod, or go at it like Siamese fighting fish? Do you have long conversations or awkward silences; a meeting of the minds or absolutely nothing in common?
The truth is, it's up to more than just your Sun signs; it's all in how each of your planets interacts with theirs. Is this person a good bet for some fun dates, or even a quick fling -‐-‐ or are they actually marriage material?
Sun sign compatibility gives you a secret weapon -‐-‐ personal insight that lets you know what to expect or validates what you already know. Just remember, we're all complex beings; each of us is much more than just our Sun sign. But you've got to start somewhere in figuring out what makes that special someone tick, and Sun sign compatibility is the perfect spot.
Taurus/Aries
Overview: You two can strike a good balance: Taurus can stabilize impetuous Aries, and Aries can liven up complacent Taurus. But be careful -‐-‐ when it's good, it's really good, but when it's bad, it's terrible! You'll probably hit it off in the beginning but then grind to a halt when your opposing personalities turn into a clash of wills. You're better off as friends.
Dating: Aries isn't big on dating; and just wants to cut to the chase. But sentimental, romantic Taurus loves to be wooed (Aries, you'd better not forget that anniversary!). This could be a tricky match if other influences in your charts don't help keep things light. Watch out for power plays, as you both want to have things your own way.
Marriage: When you two make a long-‐term commitment, chances are you're in it for good (though you might give new meaning to “for better or for worse”). Taurus commits more easily than Aries, and will see it through to the end; Aries could get bored if Taurus doesn't make a special effort to spice things up.

Renée Zellweger: April 25th 1969
Academy award winning actress Renee Zellweger is one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses. Like all typical Taureans she’s probably quite happy with this title. Taurus is the sign of money and possessions and she certainly has both. In 2002, she bought a home in Los Angeles for $6.8 million and has other homes in London, New York and Connecticut.
Taurus is a down-‐to-‐earth sign and many are practical and persistent. With the Taurus Sun in an out-‐of-‐sign conjunction to responsible Saturn this energy is amplified. People who have the Sun conjunct Saturn are serious and diligent and have a long-‐term plan. Besides owing real estate in some of the most expensive cities in the world, Renee Zellweger probably also has an impressive investment portfolio which is making her a tidy profit.
To add to this savvy financial mix is expansive Jupiter conjunct or next to Pluto, planet of power. Both planets are in Virgo which is a sign known for its diligence and detail. This combination is a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to the bottom line. Communication planet, Mercury forms a trine aspect to both Jupiter and Pluto. This makes for someone who has a sharp mind and will probably never forget a face, name or just about anything else . If Ms Zellweger wasn’t a Hollywood success story then she would have made an excellent investment banker.
Venus, planet of love, and Mars, planet of passion are forming a harmonious trine. This influence is one which is great for socializing and having many romantic suitors. This has certainly been the case from funny guy Jim Carrey to White Stripes singer, Jack White to a short lived marriage to country singer
Kenny Chesney to Bradley Cooper. Many who have this aspect seem to be able to pick and choose their friends and partners with ease. It seems Renee Zellweger is a lady who has it all and will continue to reach for the stars!
