ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kelli Fox, The Astrologer
Kelli was first drawn to astrology during her childhood in Sydney, Australia. As early as eight years of age, she began recording birth dates and sun signs for anyone willing to share. Kelli's formal astrological studies began at the College of Humanistic Astrology. This led to her professional accreditation with multiple organizations including: CA NCGR IV (National Council for Geocosmic Research), PMAFA (Professional Member of the American Federation of Astrologers), ISAR C.A.P. (International Society for Astrological Research), and the FAA (Federation of Australian Astrologers).
In 1995 Kelli created astrology.com where she continued to live her passion until 2003. After taking a couple of years out to be with her family, she began work on new content and services including mobile phone apps, video horoscopes and forecasts.
Kelli was the first member of the Founders' Circle of Kepler College: http://www.kepler.edu/ and is an emeritus member of its Board of Trustees. (Kepler College is the first college in the western hemisphere authorized to issue BA, AA and MA degrees in Astrological Studies.)
Kelli views astrology as a universal language through which the unique elements that make each of us who we are can be discussed, understood and developed. For Kelli, astrology is certainly not just about entertainment, but that doesn't mean it has to be dry and academic either. She sees her role as
bringing this ancient science to our modern day life through current technologies -‐ from web sites to mobile phones and video screens.
In 2004, with Neptune on her descendant and transiting Pluto conjunct her natal Moon, she had a near death medical experience that left her in a coma and on life support for two weeks. Kelli was fortunate to survive and return from the other side. With new found life, her passion to share the knowledge of astrology with people everywhere was re-‐ignited.
Kelli is a prolific content creator having brought forth over two million words for The Astrologer -‐ the equivalent of 20 novels. In addition she records over 400 astrological video segments every month, from daily horoscopes and planetary updates, to annual forecasts and compatibility reports.

FORWARD: AN INTRODUCTION TO ASTROLOGY
Although lots of people talk about astrology as if it's something of doubtful or supernatural origin, like magic or ghosts -‐-‐ 'Do you believe in astrology?'-‐-‐ it's not a belief system, and it's definitely not a supernatural phenomenon. It's actually a very ancient and complex system based on careful observation of the heavens and related circumstances here on earth.
To understand astrology, you must know that it doesn't work like a psychic, who predicts your future. Astrology is an invaluable guide that helps in making life choices. It points out tendencies and truths about human nature, not to mention the world at large. It gives you the tools you need to make better, more intelligent and informed decisions in your life. For example, if you have a lot of planets in Aries in your birth chart, you'll know that you tend to be rather headstrong and impulsive, jumping into things without much forethought! With astrology's help, you can learn to slow down a bit and look before you leap.
Anyone can gain greater personal understanding from astrology, even without knowing exactly how it works. After all, why the movement of the stars is related to life on Earth may be an intriguing and mysterious question, but we know that it is, indeed, related -‐-‐ astrology affects our lives just as the moon pulls on the tides and just as the light of the sun enables all life on Earth to grow. January
2012 may get off to a bit of a rocky start. New Year’s celebrations could leave you lacking for energy on the 1st. You may even find yourself in a disagreement with someone, potentially your partner. By the 5th, when the Moon moves into your sign, you've definitely found your rhythm.
On the 8th, Mercury moves into Capricorn and you gain access to information previously hidden from view. While it expands your understanding of the way things are it may also cause a shake up in your social network. The Full Moon on the 9th brings up issues around self-‐reliance. Find a healthy balance between doing things on your own and asking others for help.
On the 13th, let go of something that's been holding you back. Pay extra attention on the 17th since it's a head-‐in-‐the-‐clouds type of day. The New Moon on the 23rd inspires you with a sense of adventure. You're on a mission and you've got the drive to find what you're looking for. Also on the 23rd, assertive Mars goes retrograde in your 4th House of Home. For the next two-‐plus months, take a fresh look at your family patterns. Insights you gain can lead to your long-‐term happiness.
Make sure that you're dotting all your i's and crossing all your t's or you may experience a creative setback on the 27th. Have you been thinking about planning a trip? With Mercury moving into worldly Aquarius, use the next three weeks to scour travel websites.
February
Confusion may abound the first week of February. It’s likely to center on your work as you question whether it aligns with your ideals. The astrological reason-‐-‐dreamy Neptune is moving into your 10th House of Career.
The Full Moon on the 7th illuminates your mind. Get the most out of it by remembering that you can learn something insightful from just about anyone. Also on the 7th, if you can avoid taking risks that may be best. That's because serious Saturn turns retrograde in your 5th House of Speculation. For the next four-‐plus months, a thoughtful approach to creative pursuits will be greatly rewarded.
Your thoughts are highly poetic on the 14th. This energy may be perfect for Valentine's love notes but if you have to write a work memo be extra diligent to avoid typos. You can use past wisdom to find a solution to a current problem on the 16th. If it doesn't resolve, use your inquisitive skills on the 18th to look deeper into the root of the problem.
SECTION 2: ALL ABOUT GEMINI
Gemini is symbolized by the Twins, those playful, mischievous little beings that speak perfectly to the heart of a Gemini! The most playful, and devious, sign of the Zodiac, Gemini has the energy of two people, and all the diverse interests and urges that go with it.
A Mutable Air Sign that's ruled by Mercury, the communication planet, Gemini is all about communication and the intellect. This sign's best friend is someone who will stay up late with them, discussing everything under the sun. Quick-‐witted and highly observant, Gemini’s don't miss much; they have an agile sense of humor and a real need for freedom -‐-‐ intellectual, romantic and otherwise. That's right, Gemini’s like to play around a lot, including in their love life. There are just so many interesting people out there! And this sign gets bored fast. Angelina Jolie: June 4th 1975
Gemini born Angelina Jolie has been named "100 Most Beautiful,” voted “the greatest sex symbol of all time,” and "most beautiful woman in the world" and was the highest-‐paid actress of 2008 as well as being named one of the 50 People Who Matter 2010. With her equally famous partner, Brad Pitt, they form the most powerful couple on earth, dubbed by the media “Brangelina.”
Ms Jolie is just as famous for her humanitarian work which started when she was filming “Tomb Raider” in Cambodia. Gemini’s are famous for their duplicitous nature so on one hand, being very versatile and an excellent multi-‐tasker and on the other hand two faced. Neptune, planet of illusion and glamor forms an opposition to the Sun which further supports the dual nature of the Gemini Sun. That is, what you see is not necessarily what you get. The image she portrays may not be really who she is. Of course, acting is a wonderful outlet for this aspect.
The Sun forms a wide conjunction to Mercury, planet of communication. Mercury is also in one of its own signs – Gemini. Individuals with this placement are articulate and eloquent. As Mercury is retrograde she may have had to work harder at her message in some way.
Even though the birth time is not confirmed we know Ms Jolie has an Aries Moon. This means she is someone who has an adventurous heart but can be self-‐centered. With Mars and Jupiter forming a stellium with the Moon it’s no wonder she lives on her own terms. This stellium represents someone who is bold, courageous and daring. She has three adopted children and three
biological. Her adopted children are from different parts of the world where she has also contributed on a humanitarian level. This stellium also denotes someone who is competitive and is comfortable in a “man’s world” as Mars and Jupiter are masculine planets in the masculine sign of Aries.
With Venus in Cancer, Ms Jolie does have a soft side and will feel secure when she is surrounded by her family. Anyone with this placement is usually a nurturer so it’s no surprise she has a lot of children. With Venus forming a square to Uranus, planet of rebellion, she has created her family on her own terms. She is not formally married to her partner, Brad Pitt, but they have created a unique lifestyle, traveling the world with their kids, making movies and helping those in need. What’s not to admire?
