on the 3rd of March 1969. Happy 50thanniversary, AFI!
In the past half a century, the AFIhas been following airfreight’s marketdevelopments, addressing its members’concerns and safeguarding the interestsof air forwarders. On behalf of the FIATAPresidency, I’d like to convey our sinceregratitude to all the chairs, delegates, ex-perts and managers who have contributedto AFI in the past 50 years, for their tirelessefforts and ongoing diligent work.
I am glad to see two articles from ourpeer associations, one from ICC BusinessAction to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy(BASCAP) and one from TRAFFIC,on illegal wildlife trafficking, in this is-sue. FIATA has been working with thesebodies to raise awareness and social re-sponsibility in the supply chain.
Kazakhstan is located in the centreof the Eurasian continent and plays anincreasingly important role in the vari-ous trans-Eurasian corridors. You can readmore about Kazakhstan in the CountryReport. You are probably also very inter-ested to know more about FIATA VicePresident Mr. Ole Hagen, who has workedin seven countries, speaks six languagesand has extensive experience in manyfields, quite apart from freight forwarding.
The new chapter of 2019 beginswith quite a few uncertainties for us all.We’re waiting to see where Brexit and thetrade tension between USA and Chinawill lead us. I hope to discuss these criti-cal issues for our industry with you atour HQ Session.

Welcome to the first edition of theFIATA Review in 2019!
The FIATA Headquarters Session 2019will be hosted from the 27th to the30th of March in Zurich, Switzerland.This represents another opportunity forFIATA members to exchange informa-tion and deliberate on important policyissues in our sector. I very much lookforward to seeing you in Zurich.
I am especially proud to announcethat FIATA’s first digital courses will belaunched at this event. They are ‘Intro-duction to Global Logistics Theory andManagement’, ‘Maritime Transport’as well as a digital ‘Train-the-TrainerCourse’ for the FIATA Foundation -Vocational Training. In an environmentincreasingly characterised by the globali-sation of markets and growing levels ofcustomer expectations, FIATA believesit’s critical to provide the industry withtraining foundations that increase itsability to compete, incubate innovationand encourage the interest of youth towork in the industry.
Regarding vocational training, youcan read more about the ten years of ac-tivities conducted by our Irish associationIIFA on FIATA’s Diploma in Freight For-warding. I am glad to see that the FIATAdiploma and higher diploma are gaininggrowing recognition on a global scale andthat more young professionals can benefitfrom the vocational training conducted byFIATA Association Members.
Another special occasion at the HQSession will see the 100th meeting of theAirfreight Institute on the 29th of March.AFI was established exactly 50 years ago,

A GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY
50 Years of theAirfreight Institute of FIATA
The Airfreight Institute of FIATA,more popularly known as AFI, was
established exactly 50 years ago, on the3rd of March 1969! Its first meeting washeld in Geneva on the 17th of June 1970.
1970 also saw the inaugural flight ofthe Boeing B747, more popularly knownas the Jumbo. Its first commercial flightwas operated by Pan Am.
Today, almost 50 years down theline, only 540 of the 1,540 Boeing B747sproduced remain in airline service – aclear indication that sadly, it is apparentlyon its way out.
That said, AFI still marches on, ad-dressing its members concerns in the bestpossible way, taking pushbacks, takeoffs,turbulence and smooth touchdowns allin our stride, but never in an AOG (AFIon ground!) situation.
This 50-year successful history of AFIwould not have been possible withoutthe tireless efforts, support and voluntarywork done by AFI delegates from aroundthe world, who have contributed to get-ting AFI where it is today.
Every FIATA Institute is an extend-ed working arm of FIATA and plays anequally important role in FIATA’s suc-cess. AFI is proud to be one such Insti-tute looking after the interests of the aircargo fraternity. 50 years on, AFI willhold its 100th Meeting at the forthcom-
ing Headquarters Session in Zurich onthe 29th of March 2019. Under its beltAFI has the IATA-FIATA ConsultativeCouncil, the IATA-FIATA GoverningBoard, the ICAO-FIATA DG Train-ing Programme, which is currently inits eighth successful year, e-initiatives,safety and security issues, and the like.
AIRFREIGHT MARKETWhile numbers do not make very inter-esting reading, a brief update on how aircargo fared in the year 2018 is perhapsnecessary. After the sharp pick-up in air-freight growth during the inventory re-stocking in 2017, air cargo traffic growthmoderated in 2018.
This coincides with the softening ofdemand drivers, impacted by trade ten-sion and declining import and export or-ders. Freight traffic, measured in freighttonne kilometres (FTK) grew modestly,by 4.5% in 2018, compared to the 9.5%recorded in 2017. The international seg-ment of freight traffic, which representsnearly 87% of total airfreight, grew byaround 4.6%. This was much lower than2017, which was a boom year in whichwe grew at almost 9%. This was despitethe rampant growth of e-commerce –one of the main drivers of air cargo to-day. Oil prices and country-specific tradelane sanctions may have had a role to play
in this downward trend in 2018. TheAsia-Pacific region, Europe and NorthAmerica were amongst the fastest-grow-ing regions.
HOT TOPICS IN AFIHowever, we at the Airfreight Institutehave had a pretty hectic year in 2018.Amongst the many issues debated at var-ious meetings, the one of CASS (IATACargo Account Settlement System) Asso-ciates draws special interest. This was alsohighlighted by AFI in one of the earlierFIATA Review publications. IATA hasannounced that a new CASS AssociatesGlobal Model was launched in January.The conditions of the new model includeseveral changes that were approved byairlines at their Cargo Agency Confer-ence (CAC) in 2018.
As many CASS Associates operate andtrade as freight forwarders, representationswere made by AFI to delay the implemen-tation and allow for proper industry con-sultation. However, IATA’s airline membersdecided that the implementation would goahead in January 2019 as planned.
THE MAIN FEATURESOF THE NEW MODEL– New CASS Associate applicants will be
requested to provide an upfront finan-cial security.
– One CASS Airline sponsorship is re-quired for new applicants.
– Current CASS Associates with threeirregularities accumulated in the lasttwelve consecutive months are to pro-vide a financial security.
– The calculation of any financial securitywill be based on the amount of risk.

considering potential solutions that couldlessen the impact of some of the changes.They will also consider making a recom-mendation to the CAC to ensure that inthe future all participants in CASS will bepart of any industry consultation process.
Another very important matter AFIhas been involved in for the past few yearsnow, has been trying to get the long-awaited IATA-FIATA Air Cargo Pro-gramme (IFACP) off the ground. Alongwith our airline partners, members of theIFGB (IATA-FIATA Governance Board),this has been progressing, but at a ratherslow pace; quite understandable, as thisnew single global programme would re-place the eight fragmented age-old legacyprogrammes, which are based more on anagent /principal relationship between air-lines and agents / intermediaries.
IATA-FIATAAIR CARGO PROGRAMMEThe IFACP is governed by the IFGB(IATA-FIATA Governance Board) madeup of six voting members from both thefreight forwarders and the airlines, andtwo non-voting members from each con-stituency. One must be the Chairman ofthe Airfreight Institute of FIATA and theother one IATA’s Global Head of Cargo.Decisions by the IFGB require the con-currence of a majority of the representa-tives of each voting constituency.
The IFGB will be in charge of estab-lishing guidelines for the endorsementof IFACP forwarders related to the ope-rational and financial criteria, and todetermine relevant industry standards aswell as procedures.
Many meetings were held in the lastyear. Below is a brief update on where wecurrently stand.
Two other important responsibili-ties, amongst others that can be foundin the IATA-FIATA Air Cargo Pro-gramme Handbook, is to consider andadopt, where appropriate, recommen-dations from the regional and nationalJoint Councils, and engage in commonlyagreed industry projects and initiatives.
The IATA Cargo Agency / Inter-mediary Programmes will be replaced bythe new IFACP. Once it is implemented,
gramme, together with local freightforwarders’ associations, and the IFACPSecretariat (IATA) will be sending theIFACP Freight Forwarder Agreementto all current IATA Agents. It shouldbe signed and returned to IFACP Pro-gramme Secretariat (IATA). No finan-cial assessment will be required of cur-rent IATA Agents transferring to thenew programme.
CANADIAN PILOTON HOLDOn the 15th of August 2017 the IFACPCanada roll-out was launched. The IFGBagreed that the Canada roll-out would beon hold, as there were diverse opinions asregards the Forwarder Agreement. Aftermany meetings and intense discussions,a revised IFACP Forwarder Agreementproposal was submitted by FIATA on the24th of January 2018, based on certainclarifications.
FIATA is now working on the word-ing for certain sections of the ForwarderAgreement to be submitted to the IFGBmembers.
Once agreed upon, the Pilot willresume and AFI will keep membersinformed.
NEW IFGB CHAIRPERSON –RUTH SNOWDEN, CIFFAMs. Ruth Snowden has been appointedas the new IFGB Chairperson. RuthSnowden is currently CIFFA’s CanadaExecutive Director.

TheIATA-FIATAConsultativeCoun-cil (IFCC) Meeting was held in Madridon the 5th of February 2019. AFI shallupdate members appropriately.

the Cargo Agency / Intermediary Ruleswill be suspended. The future regional ornational Joint Councils (JC) will be es-tablished to provide feedback and to dis-cuss and submit proposals to IFGB. Thisnew streamlined governance will replacethe current local Assemblies, Councilsand ICAPs, established by today’s IATAConference governance structure.
The new JCs may propose to theIFGB the minimum criteria of financialstanding required for endorsement andretention of freight forwarders in their re-spective country/region. JCs will be madeup of four to six of members from thefreight forwarders and the airlines – inequal numbers. Freight forwarders’ repre-sentatives are appointed by FIATA, draw-ing from nominations communicated bythe respective national or regional cargoor forwarders’ associations, in advance ofthe implementation phase in the respec-tive country, to the AFI Chair and theAFI Manager.
The financial criteria applicable todayin the IATA Cargo Agency Programmewill be reviewed by an independent law-yer for competition law compliance andtransferred to IFACP. After that point,changes will be dealt through the JointCouncil and the IFGB. This is one ofthe agreed conditions between IATA andFIATA, to ensure that such financial cri-teria are objectively justified, fair, trans-parent and non-discriminatory.
Ready-for-carriage conditions, ope-rational criteria (including DangerousGoods training requirements) and bestbusiness practices (such as cargo stand-ards) will be referenced in the Handbook,helping to raise airlines’ and freight for-warders’ awareness of their responsibili-ties and compliance to agreed industryoperational requirements. An IFACPHandbook and a Governance Handbookhave been developed.
CASS remains separate ‘as is’ and un-der the jurisdiction of the IATA CargoAgency Conference.

If you had not joined the transportbusiness, which profession wouldyou have chosen (and why)?I’ve worked in many other business fields –from health care, working in YMCA in-stitutions, city development and researchthrough to the public sector. Each indus-try or sector has so many interesting chal-lenges. If I were to do something different,I think working as a music producer is onejob that is quite different from the trans-port business.
So what fascinates you about thefreight forwarding industry?First of all, it’s the people in this indus-try – so many lovely human beings, hard-

And what was your motivation toaccept your post with FIATA?My first FIATA World Conference wasin 2009 (Geneva), but I’ve been engagedin CLECAT (EU) since 2005. I’ve alwaysbeen fascinated by FIATA and the poten-tial and important role this organisationcan play at the global as well as at theequally important regional level.As experts we raise our voice and explainthe opportunities and challenges in every-thing – from trade and customs issues tothe supply chain as well as security mat-ters and the like.
How do you view the state of theindustry today?As mentioned, I think our industry ishighly underestimated. I sometimes feelwe lack the confidence that would actu-ally support our role.There are many interesting (and threaten-ing) trends – regarding trade, customs,

Norwegian industry and as Director General/Managing Director/VP

nications. Ole is a member of boards in the Norwegian logistics
industry, the Economics Institute, the Research Council and FIATA.
In his spare time Ole, who has three children, is a pop music produ
cer, plays five instruments and is Norwegian blitz chess champion.

What changes would you like tosee in the industry?I would increase our level of activity –identify and interact even more withmajor bodies and stakeholders. I thinkwe should consider internal business andhygiene factors, and focus a lot more onhow FIATA externally can contribute asthe voice of our industry.
Looking at the future, what ad-vice would you give a young per-son joining the industry today?Be curious. Dare to challenge things. Tryseveral positions. Take responsibility, andbe patient – opportunities will come.And lastly – work hard and have fun.
Which famous person would youlike to have met (and why)?I’ve just seen the film Bohemian Rhapsody, so – Freddie Mercury, Queen’s leadsinger. Not only for the music, but in life
in general he had both a professional analytical side, combined with extreme creativity. He always wanted to challenge hisand the band’s potential.
Do you have any unfulfilled wish-es (professional or personal)?Oh, many! I’m the kind of person whoalways has projects and ideas in my mind,and I can also see potential in existingstructures too.
What plans do you have for thefuture or for your retirement?I want to establish new businesses, releasea new music album, start to play golf (Inever have the time!) and exercise (more)regularly.

Four major transport corridors run through Kazakh territory.
KAZAKHSTAN A KEY LINK IN TRANS-EURASIAN CORRIDORS
Right in the middle
Favourable infrastructure and institu-tional conditions have been created
of late for investors’ working in Kazakh-stan, as is evidenced by the republic’sposition in international rankings.
Thus Kazakhstan ranks 36th amongst190 countries of the world in the WorldBank’s ‘Doing Business’ ranking, which as-sesses the ease of doing business, and thecountry is placed 71st amongst 160 coun-tries in the same institution’s Logistics Per-formance Index – one of the best indicatorsamong countries from the CIS.
Kazakhstan intends to become one ofthe top 40 countries globally by 2021, interms of the best logistics climates world-wide, in line with its Strategic Develop-ment Plan, which runs to 2025.
One important factor increasing Ka-zakhstan attractiveness for investments isthe country’s economic and political stabi-
lity. Kazakhstan is one of the active partici-pants in the international relations system.The country develops partnership relationswith its neighbours and is an active par-ticipant in regional and global projectsand integration schemes, including theEAEU, ‘One belt, one road’, etc. These areexactly the trans-Kazakhstan routes thatare amongst the most optimal to transportgoods between Asia and Europe in thecontext of terms of delivery. At present,70% of container transit trains moving be-tween China and Europe use Kazakhstan’srail corridor infrastructure.
INVESTMENTS SINCE 2008On the basis of this competitive advan-tage the state implements the necessarymeasures to develop Kazakhstan’s fulltransit potential. The transport and logis-tics infrastructure of the country’s trans-
continental corridors has been laid andmodernised, administrative barriers arebeing reduced, favourable tariff condi-tions are being created and partnershipsand alliances with participants in transitroutes are being developed.
More than USD 30 billion has beeninvested in the large-scale modernisationof transport infrastructure since 2008,with 2,500 km of new railway lines built,6,300 km of roads built and reconstruct-ed, rolling stock updated, the capacity ofborder railway stations increased, and the‘Khorgas – Eastern Gate’ special econo-mic zone developed.
Transport logistic centres in Astanaand Shymkent have been launched. Thecapacity of the port of Aktau has beenincreased. A rail ferry terminal with a ca-pacity to handle 4 million t and an auto-mobile crossing with a capacity of 2 mil-lion t have been commissioned for theport of Kuryk, ensuring that the Caspianhub’s capacity will increase from 16 to25 million t a year.

Many of the KFFA’s member com-panies have international quality man-agement standard certificates under ISO9001:2000, are individual FIATA mem-bers, winners of international competi-tions and their specialists are awardedgovernment and professional awards.
The KFFA actively cooperates withvarious international organisations, in-cluding UNESCAP, UNECE, USAID,GIZ, ADB, EBRD, CAREC, SPECA andEUTFLO. The KFFA’s training centre is aninstitution called the Transport Manage-ment and Logistics Centre. It has alreadyprepared about 2,000 forwarding businessspecialists, including about 700 accordingto FIATA’s international standards for do-mestic companies.

Today almost everyone is equipped witha smartphone and other digital devices.On the brink of the fourth IndustrialRevolution a lot is being said about theeffects of technology on the future of jobsand about the changes we will experi-ence as a result of robotics and ArtificialIntelligence.
Additionally, we know that soft skillswill gain importance and that educationwill change ever more as technology pro-gresses and creates the right environmentsfor digital learning. In this light, the FLAis now ready to launch its online learningplatform, which will provide the industrywith access to digital courses anytime andanywhere. A great step forward!
With this platform, FLA is advan-cing towards the future of learning andis ready to launch three online courses.‘Introduction to Global Logistics Theoryand Management’, ‘Maritime Transport’and a digital ‘Train-the-Trainer Course’for the FIATA Foundation - VocationalTraining. FLA believes that providing
online learning to the industry is vital tobuild, attract and keep the right talent forthe industry.
A NEW APPROACHFLA wants to create learning experiencesand spaces that meet the future needsof the industry. Transforming the righttraining content into a smoothly-runningdigital machine is a big task. It needs aholistic organisational approach, invol-ving collaboration between industry,leaders, learners, curriculum teams andgovernors. This requires a strategic steer-ing group and a focus to take the indus-try’s digital vision forward.
Ultimately, however, it should be theneeds of the learners that shape decisionson investment in technology and how todrive digital learning forward. We havereceived a very positive feedback from thetest learners and we will keep monitor-ing the classes for continuous improve-ment. The courses are hosted in our openedX platform, which is also used by top
universities around the world, has an in-credible data analytics section to examinelearning patters and makes improvementsbased on that. We wanted to select a suit-able platform and instructional model tohost our courses.
At the beginning of the project, wealso asked all FIATA Association Mem-bers in a survey about the topics theywanted to see online and that is howwe came to choose these topics. We alsotalked to academia to understand the lat-est state of online learning and the up-coming trends. It is time to thank all ofthe experts that made these courses pos-sible. Now we are all set and ready tolaunch. Special thanks go to the facilita-tors that made these courses possible.

BUSINESS ACTION TO STOP COUNTERFEITING AND PIRACY (BASCAP)
Authenticity and security
The ICC created Business Actionto Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy
(BASCAP) to raise awareness of theeconomic and social harm of counter-feiting and piracy and to petition forgreater commitment by local, nationaland international authorities to enforceand protect intellectual property rights.
BASCAP works with a wide rangeof stakeholders from the supply chainto formulate the best practices for theirroles and responsibilities in relation tocounterfeit goods. Criminal networkstake advantage of container shipping totransport huge volumes of counterfeitproducts, affecting virtually every sector.According to one report, USD 461 bil-lion in counterfeit goods moved throughinternational trade in 2013, with close to10% shipped on maritime vessels.

In March 2018, a paper was pub-lished by the signatories to the DoI,detailing recommended voluntary bestKnow-Your-Customer practices for mari-
time operators. Similar papers are beingdeveloped for other segments.
Industry itself has broadly recognisedthe issue of counterfeit goods and has be-gun partnerships to develop services tohelp combat them. One particular part-nerships has Seagate and IBM workingtogether to reduce product counterfeitingusing blockchain and security technolo-gies. The project uses the IBM BlockchainPlatform to authenticate the provenance ofdisk-drive products, bringing a new levelof multi-layered security protection tothe data management industry. To verifyproduct authenticity, Seagate will updatethe IBM Blockchain Platform in IBM’scloud with product-authentication databased on the Seagate Secure Electronic ID(eID) at the point of manufacture. Eachunique identifier (serving as an electronicfingerprint) can be used to verify the iden-tity of a hard drive at any time during theproduct’s life cycle.
As industry and private sector moveto mobilise development initiatives thatwill help reduce counterfeiting, the ques-tion stands as to when policy will catchup and play a role. BASCAP’s work atthe country level includes detailed rec-ommendations for policy and legislativechanges needed to bring national intel-lectual property enforcement efforts upto international standards.
One example is efforts undertaken byIndian Customs to prioritise intellectualproperty rights (IPR) enforcement anddevelop an IPR recordal system, whichhave been commended at a BASCAPworkshop seeking to combat the tradein counterfeit goods through open andbalanced dialogue between Indian en-forcement agencies and rights holders.The Department of Industrial Policy andPromotion – the nodal IPR policy bodyin India – concluded that the need forstrong KYC policies from intermediarieswas crucial to secure the supply chain.
Counterfeit and pirated products put the health and safety of
consumers worldwide at risk, while robbing governments, busi-
nesses and communities of tax revenues, profits and jobs. The
negative impacts of counterfeiting and piracy are projected to
drain USD 4.2 trillion from the global economy and put 5.4 million
legitimate jobs at risk by 2022. The sector is already worth almost
USD 500 billion annually, according to OECD, and is predicted to
be worth a staggering USD 2.3 trillion by 2022; the World Customs
Organization believes that 7% of all global trade is in fakes.

On Wednesday the 12th of September2018, IIFA hosted a dual celebration
– both for the Graduation Ceremony ofthe 2017–2018 IIFA FIATA DiplomaClass Group, and also marking the tenthanniversary of the FIATA Diploma inFreight Forwarding through IIFA. Previ-ous graduates were also in attendance onthe night, proudly congratulating theirindustry colleagues on their own successin a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

These speakers,Gabbie White, Director of Global Lo-gistics at Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc.,Sinead Wheatley, Key Account Managerat Kuehne & Nagel Ireland Ltd., andGlen Warnock, CEO at Emerald FreightExpress Ltd., shared their past experi-ences about where they stood when theyundertook the training, what furthereducation has done for them and whattheir careers have been like since. Bob commended Philip onthis by remarking that “successful com-pletion of this course requires a significantlevel of self-discipline for the home studyinvolved. In Philip’s case, the largest examhe ever faced was the Junior certificate, sowhile completing and passing the coursewould be a great achievement, he wentfurther, really put the work in and as tes-tament to this, emerged with a Merit levelFIATA Diploma qualification. In doingso, Philip has earned the accolade of be-ing the Youngest FIATA Diploma Holderworldwide, a great personal success and agreat success for Ireland.”

Trafficking in wildlifeproducts – for exampleelephant ivory, rhinohorn, shark fins, orother wild animal andplant goods from ille-gal sources – is rankedfourth, and it takesplace in every region ofthe world. This under-ground trade threatensconservation effortsand has a direct impacton global supply chains.

The taskforce was convened by HRH the Dukeof Cambridge in 2016 as a means tounite the transport industry and identifysolutions in breaking the chain betweensuppliers and consumers. Regular intelli-gence alerts and guidance are distributedamong the task force, informing mem-bers of critical movement patterns, highrisk routes and concealment methodsthat traffickers are using to take advan-tage of the transport industry.
Along with the landmark United forWildlife agreement, nearly 30 transportfirms, government organisations, not-for-profit organisations and intergovernmen-tal organisations have joined the USAIDReducing Opportunities for UnlawfulTransport of Endangered Species Partner-ship (ROUTES), which is managed byTRAFFIC and supports transport com-panies through up-to-date wildlife traf-ficking data and analytics, training andawareness resources for transport person-nel and guidance and tools for strength-ening business policies and protocols.
TRAFFIC has partnered FIATAand is working with FIATA membersto increase awareness and provide solu-tions for freight companies to join theinternational fight against wildlife traf-ficking. Recently, FIATA added wildlifetrafficking to the minimum standards
wildlife trade. TRAFFIC is also workingclosely with the South Africa Associationof Freight Forwarders (SAAFF) to raiseawareness of wildlife trafficking aheadof, and during, this year’s FIATA WorldCongress in Cape Town.

ObituaryPeter Shu-Ping Yang
FIATA was sad to learn that Mr. Peter Shu-Ping Yang, a respectable past Vice President ofFIATA, passed away in December 2018. Peterwas the founding chairman for TILSCA, ex.chairman of TAFLA, ex. executive director ofIOFFLAT, vice chairman for TFLA.
Peter devoted more than 20 years of his timeto attending FIATA events, being VP for manyterms and contributing to ABVT as well. Pe-ter was the driving force behind the successfulhosting of the FIATA World Congress 2015in Chinese Taipei. He was also dedicated topromoting the FIATA diploma and higherdiploma courses in Taipei.We at FIATA all send our deepest condolencesto the family and friends of Mr. Peter Yang.

Mr. Turgut Erkeskin (Turkey) celebratedhis 55th birthday on the 27th of January1964. He has been a FIATA Delegatesince 2011, became a FIATA Vice Presi-dent in 2013 and has served as a SeniorVice President since 2017.
Mr. David Kofi Nutakor (Ghana) cele-brated his 65th birthday on the 15th ofJanuary 1954. A FIATA Delegate since2008, he became FIATA Vice Presidentin 2017. He is also a long-standing mem-ber of the FIATA Foundation Manage-ment Committee.
Mr. Thomas Kiang Lee Sim (Singapore)celebrated his 55th birthday on the 6th ofJanuary1964.Along-standingFIATADele-gate, he became ABVT Chairman in 2003and is also the Chairman of the FIATAFoundation Management Committee.
