KABADDI (Men)

Inter collegiate Tournament cum selections were held at Vaikunta Baliga Law College,

Udupi from 04th and 05th October 2016. 30 teams participated in this tournament, 78 students

participated in this selection trails.

The inaugural function was held on 04th October 2016. Sri. Gurme Suresh Shetty, Indstialist

from Ballari inaugurated the tournament. Sri. Raghupathi Bhat, Ex-MLA Udupi, Sri. Rajendra

Suvarna, President of Udupi District Kabaddi Association, Sri. Khalid Khan, Director Physical

Education, KSLU HUbballi, Sri. Krishne Gowda. President of KSLU Physical Education Directors

Association, Hubballi were the guests of honour.

Clinic was conducted by Mr. Francis Convenor of Dakshina Kannada District Kabaddi referee

Board.

The Valedictory function was held on 05th October 2016 Sri. Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister of

Fisheries, Sports and Youth affairs Govt. of Karnataka State was the chief Guest. Prof. Prakash

Kanive, Principal Vaikunta Baliga College of Law, presided over the valedictory function. Smt.

Meenakshi Madhava Bannanje, President of Muncipal Council, Udupi. Smt. Sandhya Tilakraj,

Vice President of Muncipal Council, Udupi. Sri. R. K. Ramesh Poojary, Sri. Sathish Puthran, Smt.

Latha Ananda Sherigar, Member of Muncipal Council, Udupi, Sri. Khalid Khan Director Physical

Education KSLU, Hubballi and Sri. Prakash Rao D. Physical Education Director VBCl, Udupi were

present.

Karnataka State Law University Kabaddi (Men) team participated in South Zone Inter

University Tournament Organized by Vel. Tech University, Avadi, Chennai (Tamil-Nadu) from

18th

to 22nd

January 2017. Mr. P. C. Muragesha Physical Education Director of Sarswathi Law

College, Chitradurga escorted the team as Coach cum Manager.
